The Apex Breed: The Gathering

Rate this book
The Apex The GatheringThe hospital fortress is growing.

Survivors are beginning to reconnect.

For the first time since the collapse, humanity is pushing back.

Then Walker and Maggie discover something that changes everything.

The Apex aren't acting like predators anymore.

They're learning.

They're adapting.

And they're gathering.

As reports of increasingly coordinated Apex activity spread across the region, Walker and his team venture deeper into hostile territory searching for answers. What they find suggests the enemy may be far more organized—and far more dangerous—than anyone imagined.

The walls are getting stronger.

The Apex are getting smarter.

And something is waiting beyond the perimeter.

The Gathering is the action-packed third book in the Apex Breed series, packed with survival, suspense, and relentless action.

Good Continuation

Finally starting to get answers. Same as previous books, action packed and a little bit of everything else thrown in.
I do question why no one has gone looking for military grade vehicles or weapons. Are there no pilots left? No helicopters or planes that can fly? Crane operators have appeared, animal specialist but no one that can fly? Seems like people with military experience would insist on military grade equipment and weapons.
Overall good story and it’s getting more interesting.

greatest series in awhile

Very good! Best part is it’s a story not an experiment in gore and rape. Many have me stop reading in a chapter or two. This one is good in a way that many don’t. I’m not binging, I’m savoring it. Plot consistent. Characters are relatable.

Best one yet

Tge MCs don't really have much character development. They seem more like soldiers than a married couple.
Once a lot more charcters were introduced into this book, it became more interesting .
So,more characters and more Apex. This series became a lot better.

questions

What about the immunization that supposedly turned the sheriff deputy into one of them and spread it? Book one. I’ll read the next one to see how you weave it all together because I really like Maggie and walker.

Series could have been in fewer books

Good, very good. Has kept me reading from one book to the next. Could have been compiled into fewer books.
