I loved this! I really saw myself as a Holmes! 🕵🏻‍♀️ I love that the book guided you through the clues telling you how to eliminate names as I don’t think I’d have known where to start to be honest. It did take a long time to get through the first 5-6 clues because you’re eliminating so many names to start with but once I got into unpicking the little details it was so much fun! I did get a bit stumped on the penultimate clue and needed a hint but once I had the hint I ran away with it and solved it! So good! I might have to get the next book for the next school holiday! 😊

I liked this puzzle book it was fun and had a cool story along with it. But the last few clues confused me and the map on exhibit D I did not understand but everything before that was fun to do maybe It was just me not understanding but it brought my rating down a little and made me question if the second book was going to be for me but I loved the majority of the puzzle a lot for me to just stop here!

First foray into this type of puzzle book. I liked the idea of it, but this one was a really poorly written story and a very confusingly written final conclusion section. Somehow it was an old timey hotel but also key cards and smart phones? Really threw me off. Felt written by AI. Either try or don’t even have a story in my opinion. I’m not even marking the repetitive nature against it because I knew what I was getting into. I love a logic type puzzle but this just felt like homework.

Really long and repetitive over the first couple clues and if you make a mistake it could set you back hours if not days. Think 3000 guests without any backstory became tedious and boring rather quick. Not the first book I've completed like this but definitely my least favorite so far.

so fun! I’m addicted to these mystery puzzle books where you sort the evidence using the clues and through elimination name the suspect! This one had a lot more story with it which was fun and very thematic. I also worked this one solo and faster than previous ones I’ve done … and it’s a series!
