Westwind takes place in war ravaged Great Britain during WW II, and follows MI6 Agent Katrin Nessen and her husband John Breckenridge as they uncover a plot to overthrow the British government. This is historical fiction at its best, combining espionage, conspiracies, humor and romance in a historically accurate setting. Brees will keep you engaged as the story unfolds and the fate of Katrin, John, and the free world hangs in the balance. As Hitler’s Blitz campaign threatens the United Kingdom with bombings and air raids, secret agent Katrin is tasked with protecting Winston Churchill and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, a deadly mission during extremely dangerous times. This espionage thriller took me into the world of agents Katrin and her husband John as they calculated the moves of a mad dictator’s schemes to take over, of war rooms held in tunnels, and sirens constantly going off. The mysteries combined with the WWII history made for an unputdownable read.
