If you are reading the Dark Protector series, these novellas are a must. Not only do you get more story on side characters but you also learn more details that go along with the overall story in the series.
Series Review: Fun, fast paced PNR series. Great storyline, characters and suspense. Insta-love, mates for life, possessive Alphas and grotesque evil foes. There are Vampires, Shifters, witches, Demons and more. This is a continued storyline focusing on a different couple per book.

This purchase contains three different novellas from the Dark Protectors Series. I have noted what book number they are, and suggest that you read them in the correct order in accordance with the full length books in the series. If you don't, you may run across some spoilers for other books. I've written a separate review for each novella below.
TEMPTED is book #2.5 in the series.
I loved Max and Sarah! They were so sweet together and both are such great characters. I was thrilled to finally get a leading lady in this series who didn’t fight and shout about fate and being someone's mate. It was refreshing and made the story so much more enjoyable than watching the main characters constantly go back and forth with insults and unnecessary arguing. Especially when they're still at war with the Kurjans who are still working on the virus.
TWISTED is book #5.5 in the series.
I loved Terrent! Up until this book, he’s been the badass wolf-shifter whose a member of the Bane Council that hunts down and takes care of werewolves. We knew Terrent was sexy and that he was interested in Maggie, but in Twisted, we learn the two have a past. Terrent is determined to make Maggie realize how important she is to him and that he wants a future with her.
Maggie was okay. Sometimes the female characters come across as trying too hard to act all tough, and I’ve discovered that I don’t much care for this type of character. I did like her better by the end, but she’s not one of my top favorites in the series.
Jase has some scenes and I’m excited to finally get to his book.
TAMED is book #6.5 in the series.
Caleb and Lily are a great couple and I really liked them together. We knew from earlier books that they dated for a short time, and in Tamed we learn more details. I hate that Lily chose duty instead of love over three centuries ago. Caleb is hot and those two could have been together all those years. He proves to Lily he's a sweetheart under all that toughness.
Marked is the next book in the series, and we finally get the story about Janie's destiny. Will it be with Zane or Kalin? I’m excited to read what happens next.

Once again Ms. Zanetti out did herself with this series! Even though "Twisted" was a short read, it had the debt of a full Novel.
Terrent, the lone wolf and part of the Bane Counsel (Werewolf Hunters) was seen in many of the previous books, along with Maggie, an infected wolf who lost her memory. These two didnt really mix until the last book with Jordan and Katie (Maggies best friend). They had a ton of chemistry in this book and lots of steamy sex. The storyline was wonderful, exciting, little mystery, laughs and excitement.
I love how Maggie was clumbsy all the time and Terrent was always there to pick her up. Even though she was a "hot mess" she was strong, independant and smart....fisty too. Terrent is a perfect match for her, all Alpha, sex on a stick and so tolerant when it comes to her and no memory. The Wolf mating thing was very sexy and hot....steamy, litterally in one scene. As the mysteries started to unravel, they became a "Twisted" mess together.
Another well written story and absolutely love this series. Its a must read if you like hot guys, strong characters, amazing storylines and great, vivid sex scenes...this is for you.

An enjoyable three novella trilogy, all of these stories add a bit extra to the Dark Protectors series.
Gaining a deeper insight into some of the side characters was fun but the novellas are not nearly as satisfying as the full length novels that make up most of the series.
'Twisted' was my favourite of the three with 'Tamed' being my least favourite.
All had similar plots and the same underlying narrative. They differed slightly in the details.

November 3, 2020The fun thing about his book was it was 3 stories in 1. We got Max and Sara's story, Terrent and Maggies's story, and Caleb and Lilly's story. While the characters are not Kayrs brothers, they are friends and important to the Realm, and the overarching story of the war and Janie Kayrs. I really enjoyed this one.

These are short stories that fit in with the Realm series by Rebecca Zanetti. Again, enhanced female humans and vampires (mostly) fighting against evil. In the United States, with Ireland, Scotland and the occasional island with dragons thrown in. Fascinating paranormal series, becoming very predictable.

Love the side couples
It was great to see how the rest of the side characters developed their relationships. These were short additions that when read in order with the entire series, help the reader to see the bigger picture overall. And honestly, who doesn't love these 3 couples???

This was a Dark Protectors Novella, containing 3 novellas set along side the Dark Protector Novels. Each one was very good and would really have like them to be a bit longer. Sometimes seems rushed to finish them. Plots were very very good. Lots of passion . Highly recommend.

Very Good
I enjoyed these between-the-series books. They have given me a chance to get to know six of the secondary characters and gives the main series and characters even more depth. Loved it!

Order is confusing but great reads
I feel like this set is out of order but they were all fantastic reads. Would definitely recommend this series.

This is the first time I've had the chance to read the novellas and I was super excited. They didn't disappoint. X stars
Tempted - 4.5
This is Max and Sarah's story.
I've always like Max, silent, hulking shadow that protected Janie when Cara or Talen weren't around. He needed someone that needed him (Janie) and he deserved to have a spunky, loving mate like Sarah. I know this was a novella, but it didn't bother me that Sarah didn't put up as much of a fight as the others (Cara, Emma, Moira, etc.) Her place in the extended family and their society was critical and I thought Zanetti did a wonderful job of working her in.
Her brother was a huge a-hole, though I was surprised that Max but he totally deserved it, even though it was in front of Sarah.
Also liked how Jase and Conn played pivotal parts in their (Max and Sarah's) story.
Twisted - 4 stars
This is Terrent and Maggie's story.
Could have been a solid 5 stars in my opinion, but I was so ticked towards the end. Loved their story except for that ^ brief hiccup. She had every right to be pissed and he should've groveled, but no, she forgives him instantly and has sex with him. Total crap.
It was cool to learn more about both of their histories, and find out that nothing is wrong with Maggie.

It's been quite a while since I've read the series, but I thought that Caleb was a multi shifter instead of a vampire?
That said, it was cool to really see the woman beneath the Prophet title. Lily could be a spitfire when she wanted, though I thought it was stupid that she wanted people to treat her like a woman when she went out of her way to be a prophet through and through.
It was awesome to see more into the situation with the Prophets and their visions. I didn't realize all of the prophets got dreams of trying to kill Janie, but I did remember Guiles and i"m glad that he is killed later. He certainly deserves it.
I'm glad that Caleb and Lily are finally together. She chose duty first and mated her arranged husband, but they'd loved each other for centuries and this was their chance to be together. I'm glad they took it.
As a whole, while their stories are spanned far apart in the course of the series, it was great to be able to read them together for the first time.

I picked this up based on some recommendations on FB. I had never read anything by this author. I enjoyed these stories and was intrigued with the world the author had created. They weren't long enough for me, so I am going to have to go back and research her other books to get my fill of these characters. Very good read.

Wonderful Stories
I read these stories as singles and loved everyone of them. When I saw the three together in one book I read the stories again. If you like this type of book then you will love her stories.
