I picked this up because I love love love me some Codename: Chandler. I love the world and I love the superhuman scary assassins. I mean, c'mon they're pretty badass.

Anyway, this prequel belongs to Charlie Street. Heath is just a supporting character lent from the Codename: Chandler series. Heath is still Heath and we know this takes place before HIT. Although, I know this is really about Charlie, I felt myself wanting more from Heath. I mean, we know what he's capable of and I don't think we got to see him at his fullest. Probably, because he spent most of his time hiding it from Charlie and inevitably me.

When Charlie automatically trusted the Senator, I did as well. I felt myself believing her feelings and trusting her gut. However, it hurt a bit when my feelings started to sway and yet hers remained steadfast. I started to feel betrayed.

I like how we never really know what Heath is about to do. I mean, you think he's going one way and then he surprises us and goes another or you feel he would never and then he does. I like being on my toes that way.

All in all it was a pretty good read. Not as much action as I'd hoped or I'm used to with the Chandler series but I still enjoyed it.
