Scott Lobdell (born 1960) is an American comic book writer.
He is mostly known for his work throughout the 1990s on Marvel Comics' X-Men-related titles specifically Uncanny X-Men, the main title itself, and the spin-off series that he conceived with artist Chris Bachalo, Generation X. Generation X focused on a number of young mutant students who attempted to become superheroes in their own right at a separate school with the guidance of veteran X-related characters Banshee and Emma Frost. He also had writing stints on Marvel's Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight, and The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix mini-series with artist Gene Ha. He wrote the script to Stan Lee's Mosaic and an upcoming film from POW Entertainment featuring Ringo Starr. He also participated in the Marvel Comics and Image Comics (from Jim Lee's WildStorm) crossover mini-series WildC.A.T.s/X-Men.
Scott lobdell is the best DC comic writer ever, and that's a lot from an 11 year old kid who loves marvel. You should have death stroke fight red hood. My name's Shaun Lynch by the way
In 2015 DC Comics issued forty-four sneak peeks previews to bridge the New 52 to the DCYou imprints. DC Sneak Peek: Red Hood/Arsenal is written by Scott Lobdell and penciled by Denis Medri. It features Jason Todd as Red Hood and Roy Harper as Arsenal going undercover to stop Kobra from destroying the city. DC Sneak Peek: Red Hood/Arsenal was originally published as a back story in Convergence: Titans #2 and later in Red Hood/Arsenal: Open For Business trade paperback.
The premise of this preview is rather straightforward. Jason Todd and Roy Harper goes undercover to stop Kobra and his cult from destroy the city. They successfully destroy the threat, but Kobra and his cult remains and the story leaves off with them about to fight. This dysfunctional duo seems to have Arsenal for the brains and Red Hood as the brawn – at least for this issue. It’s an intriguing relationship.
Lobdell's text is written rather well. I really like the witty banter between Red Hood and Arsenal – they certainly have an entertaining relationship. Medri's illustrations are somewhat well done. I'm not particularly fond of some of the blocky edges he gave to Arsenal's mask and armor. I'm also not sure about the design of Red Hood either. I'm glad that the mask has no face, but the sleeveless vest seems amiss and the undercut hairstyle needs to get used to.
All in all, DC Sneak Peek: Red Hood/Arsenal is a wonderfully written story. I just how the relationship between Jason and Roy is being depicted – I really miss Starfire being in the team, but these two really shine when they're together – great introduction to a wonderful series, which I have already read.
