As with the first issue, I’m mainly here to see The Question. I liked the conflict with the two Harvey Dents though, I thought that could have even been a little more expanded on, and this could have been a three issue miniseries. Still, this was a cool issue!

I didn't know if this would live up to my high expectations... It BLEW MY MIND. This is EVERYTHING I've ever wanted to see with The Question/Renee Montoya and more. In that way, it's perfect. I couldn't ask for more. Well, I would LOVE a whole series on The Question and not just a tie-in to something else. That'd be great. Also written by Greg Rucka. Honestly, Rucka knew what people wanted and gave it to us. I can picture him writing the script giggling. And I love him for it. This is beautiful, emotional, badass, funny - you name it. Great chemistry between Helena, Kate, and Renee, and a complex relationship between Renee and Harvey.

My one minor complaint is Renee's internal monologue is hard to pay attention to at the same time as the other stuff going on around her, but that might be my own fault. I got too excited.

Brilliant work. It isn't often I re-read books, but I've read this three times over now and raved about it everywhere I could. I've been thinking about it all night. I'm buying another copy for myself and more for friends. I've never enjoyed a single issue (and most comics) more. In fact, it might just top my list of favourite comics (among issues and trades) because of how perfectly satisfying it is. But at the same time, it makes me ache to have more.

It’s a serviceable plot. Themes of self sacrifice, redemption. But it’s handled with all the dexterity of a 5 year old in a snowsuit. The women all have the same personality. “Jealous much?” should be banned from written literature. I have never heard a woman outside of a Lizzie McGuire episode use that term. The conflict between Batwoman and Question is never addressed but they needed to be in a fight for some unneeded tension I guess. Two Face was the real hero of this with Renee being his fridge. The father was a good reference point for the main conflict which was quick and anticlimactic, but I wish it had been handled without Batwoman and redirected the frames of her pouting to action scenes. She’s just so useless in this. Huntress only slightly less so. Art: backgrounds are nearly nonexistent. Faces are consistent if stiff. Poses are nothing to study. Barely any action. Overall, a throwaway issue.

I think of the few tie-ins I’ve read for Convergence these were definitely the best. The Superman tie-ins I read were both really good, but this was just a little bit better.

Renee. Renee. Renee. *makes a confused, aborted gesture* So good. I want more. Guess who is gonna go and read all the comics. All of them. Because I want to. I have a great need and I have a master post floating around somewhere.

Great story: I did do a double-take to see The Question (Renee Montoya) leap past girlfriend/crimefighters Batwoman and the Huntress over a building down a several-story drop.
Apart from that, fine writing by Rucka and art by Hamner.
Recommended.
