This was an incredibly inspiring and challenging book! Much of the book seemed to be written directly to me! I have made long-term (hopefully) habitual changes to my life as a result of this read! Highly recommend!

If I could award half stars, I would say this is a solid 4.5. There is a lot of great advice in here (Chip really adores the usage and implementation of index cards)!

As usual, this book only lightly brushes pornography and seems to steer clear of it mostly because it felt like it was too awkward to discuss it, or like the author just didn't want to do that "topic" right here, right now. I think this is why I deducted 0.5 of a star. I just wanted more here. Pornography could have been better explored in the "get rid of the garbage in your life" chapter of this book.

Pastor Ingram offers a lot of practical advice in this book. Each chapter concludes with some bullet points on practicalities that can be implemented very easily. His advice is also useful. For me, I found that the chapters that spoke to my opportunities for growth were most useful. I think other readers will also find this as well.

This is the type of book you may even annotate or write notes about. It is that good, or at least it was for me.

Incredible book!!! We read it together as a missional community. It gave so many great practicals to implement together and vision from scripture to back it.

From the first day I was riveted. Learning to think great thoughts - I loved the section on your mental diet - "Thinking great thoughts means taking that incredible ability to focus on negatives and using it for more positive and truthful purposes." It is always a choice.
Thank you Chip!
