A jewel from the east shows the life of a woman with her loving Father (God): the ups and downs, joys and pains, lack and abundance; brings hope and joy to the reader who almost certainly will relate.
More than anything else, it shows God's providence and sovereignty in everything. Making happen things a villager could not in her wildest dreams imagine...all so that we like Fatma can have a "mind-set that is Christ-like"
