I really enjoyed the plot of this story. It was done so well that you really enter the character's world.

It’s strange. I both liked the book and am so annoyed at it at the same time. For while the story was good it was so short and practically built to waste my money.

Don’t get me wrong. I really enjoyed the plot with the heartbreak, fake wedding and the main girl running into the guy who caused said heartbreak. On that drama and buildup alone this would have been at least a four star story. However, there is no way I can give this more than two stars since its barely a third of a whole book.

This I feel is kind of sketchy of the author. Writing a third of the book ending with a cliffhanger and then charging the next two parts 3 to 4 dollars each like those parts are full length books instead of parts of THE SAME book. Her obvious hunger for money irks me to be frank. I mean, of course she deserves to be payed for her work, but then at least be decent to the readers who pay for it by making it a full length book or charge the correct amount for the two next parts so it isn’t double what it should cost for one entire e-book. Especially since all three parts together still makes it a short book. And she wants a total of 7,15 dollars for the entire short novel. The nerve.

Julia and Luke were childhood sweethearts with a plan to move from their small Missouri town, go to college in New York, get married and start their lives. Then Luke comes up with Plan B when he doesn't get accepted into the school he had chosen and decided to take an internship in Hong Kong. He promises Julia they will make things work, but as young people thousands of miles apart, it doesn't take long for them to split. Five years later, Julia has graduated and is trying to make a living as a photographer when she finds out her dad has months to live. His biggest wish is to dance at her wedding, so they decide to have a reception (without the groom) to make his wish come true. The story is just getting started when it ends. Yes, we are warned it is a three part story with a cliffy. But really, why? This book is so short and it looks like the other two parts are even shorter, so why isn't this just one book? I don't particularly like the serial formula, but if the story is interesting enough and I have enough invested in the characters I will move on to the next book. I appreciate getting the first part for free, and if I am invested then I'm fine with paying for future installments. There just wasn't enough of the story for me to care enough about the characters to move forward.

Not overly fussed. It was too short and incomplete. Just write the whole story and be done with it, rather than publish it across 3 books. If your readers like the story they will buy other books. This way you just make the cranky.

Summary

It was okay. It seemed to take a long time to get to the end. .I should not of had to buy two other books to get to the end of the story.

I think it's beautiful what she's doing for her dad. But will seeing her ex she still loves complicate things?

My Rating: 4 Stars

It will make you fell in love all over again. Believe in love beyond the past of the years. You will ooh and awe. Cry with your heart in your throat. The whole spectrum of feelings and you will want more.

I got this book a long time ago. It was just sitting on my Kindle and while I was trying to pick what to read next, the title made me wonder what was that about.

The book was broken into 3 parts and I was ok with it. That was until I got to the end of this first part because... I was dying to get my hands on the next part but I have to wait to get it since I don't have a credit card right now... again.

The story was well written and I read it while I was at the eye doctors office. Bad idea. I cry because of this book and I had to stop reading several times. People where staring at me and I was red like a tomato but I kept on until the end... sort off.

Groomless ends on an "it will continue..." kind of note. It's understandable since it's part 1 of a 3 part book but be prepared or buy the whole book at one time because you will regret it if you don't. I did... regret it that is.

The characters have dept and reasons to make you feel like they are real people. The problems they face, or in this case, the female protagonist faces are part of every day life and bad things happen in everyday life more often than not.

I didn't agree with how she let him go at the beginning, her love I mean, but I can understand it also in some ways. It doesn't mean I agree with her but I would probably end up in similar situation with the distance and stuff in the way. It's hard to keep a long distance relationship alive.

Her dad it's awesome! That man it's strong and makes me think of all the people in the world that are in his shoes or going thru something similar. Such a strength is needed in those cases.

Lastly, I would love to get my hands on the rest of this book soon. I want to see what happens next and I hope, at the same time, that the other parts don't let me down. This first part was really, really great.

"I LOVED It"

Sierra, I loved Part 1 of "Shameless." It's UTTERLY INSANE!!! With HUMOR, ROMANCE, A LOVE BETWEEN FATHER and DAUGHTER + the DISCOVERY OF UNFORGOTTEN LOVE...

I wasn't sure if I would like a book broken down into three separate books, only 2+hrs long but you quickly changed my mind on it in chapter two. And, as Part 1 ended and how you ended it, left the need to post my review, so I could give my attention to Part 2.

You have me so INTRIGUED that I'm EXCITED for Part 2. I feel this rush come over my brain, and my ENDORPHINS are running 🔥.

This was my 1st time listening to Marian Hussey narrate. I APPLAUD her TALENTS. 👏👏 She's very SKILLED at her Art as a Multi-Voice Storyteller. I look forward to listening to her more in the following books.

I welcome the recommendation of others to reading Sierra Rose's "Shameless: Part 1" and hope they enjoy it as I had.

This is a good start what appears to be a great story. Groomless - Part 1 by Sierra Rose does all the set up work for the story. The author introduces you to Julia and the predicament that she faces. Her father is dying and he wants to dance with her at her wedding. With no groom in sight, she decides to have a wedding anyway to fulfill his request. When trying on a wedding gown, she runs into Luke, her first love. The author does a great job getting the reader emotionally attached to the characters and invested in the outcome of the story. I am now impatiently waiting for parts 2 and 3 so I can have the full story.

Amazing

I think I would have had a mental breakdown if I was going to lose my dad the same way I lost my mom. I would have just cried all day. But her dad told her that he only regretted not being at her wedding. But Julia has to be brave and give her dad is last dying wish even though it is a fake wedding. And what are the odds that Luke and Julia accidentally run into each other when she was at the dress shop trying on dresses. They live in the same town but that's the time they run into each other. And I cannot believe what the male nurse did.to her.
