Ma'am, I can certainly tell that you write or have written movie scripts, cause this thang read just like one! 🥰 Sunshine was forced to flee Delaware due to a coworker that she barely knew becoming obsessed with her, and it quickly escalated to dangerous levels! 🤯😮 Landing in Baltimore and finding a church home, she befriends youth pastor Joshua Love. Both Joshua and Sunshine are attracted to the other but are afraid to admit their feelings so, they become best friends. When Sunshine learns of a medical issue she has, Joshua agrees to assist her with healthcare insurance.

Although the two are a little awkward at first, they soon find their rhythm as a couple, and do not play about each other. I loved the faith centered friend group that they shared, and how they took care of each other.

That Craig was out of his mind! 🤬 How was he that delusional and crazy about a woman that he didn't even know? 👀There were several near misses, but glad they finally caught up to him. That ending tho! 😮🤯 What???? Wynter how? What happened girl? Can't wait for the next read. Great job! 👍🏿👍🏿

I gobbled this book up basically in one sitting. I almost enjoyed reading about Sunshine and Joshua as much as Emerald and Jeremiah. I wasn’t expecting the suspense from this one, but it was so good! I’m looking forward to reading more about the 2 couples and keeping up with them in the next book about Wynter which I have to start immediately because WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT ENDING?!

Oh and some amazing nuggets in here about convent marriage. Loved seeing the scriptures woven in!

Great Read

This was a great read and an awesome back up to "Emerald' Path". I love Sunshine and Josh together, but that ending shocked me. I can't wait for book three. Thanks, Dee LaSure.
