Sweet Disasters
Greta V. Wolf

I instantly loved Sienna. She approached her situation like a little ray of dark sarcasm and wit. I have one word for you: Fridge.

I think there is nothing funnier in a mafia romance than the underboss enjoying the dynamic of the boss and the woman that refuses to submit. And Luca does not disappoint.

I really enjoyed the mafia politics aspect of the story. The way Sienna moves within embracing being Dante’s wife. I felt the same pride that Dante felt every time she took control, every time she responded or reacted to a simple conversation or a situation. The moment she decided to
Not be a victim of her circumstances was beautiful to witness.

Greta V. Wolf did an absolutely incredible job at weaving this story into reality. Creating a strong female character in novels dominated by their male counterparts. She gave us a woman who demands respect in her own right. The immense talent of Greta V. Wolf, to give us this complex female character into a story where she is required to hold her own or be forced to be background noise is such a delicate balance and she does it masterfully on every page. She has given us beautiful intimate moments and pulse racing action. She is definitely an author I am adding to my collection and cannot wait to discover her other works.

Light hearted rom-com

Sweet Disasters is a light-hearted rom-com with a mafia backdrop. While the story includes themes such as killing and a coerced marriage, the violence is mostly kept off the page, allowing the focus to remain on the romance and humour rather than the darker aspects of the setting.

The story flows well, making it an easy and enjoyable read. There are several genuinely funny moments, particularly in the opening chapters, which help establish the playful tone early on. The balance between the mafia elements and the romantic comedy works well, giving the book enough tension to keep things interesting without becoming overly heavy.

Overall, this was an entertaining read for anyone who enjoys mafia romance but prefers a lighter, more humorous approach with minimal on-page violence.

What worked for me

* Light-hearted rom-com tone

* Minimal on-page violence

* Good pacing and story flow

* Humorous opening chapters

* Easy, entertaining read

Good Read

I enjoyed sienna and Dante. The writing was a bit repetitive (if that’s the right word). It was kind of annoying that all the action kept happening just as they were going to settle down. I’m not even positive Dante slept at all. And then sienna decided each time she would stay up, too. The chapters seemed to have parts that were same just written a bit differently and always had him astounded by her brilliant mind. The story was better than a 3 so I left it at 4. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
