She was his unwanted fiancée. Now she’s the wife he craves but can never possess. I always knew I’d return to New York one day—step back into my family’s world, marry a man my brother chose, and carry out my duty. I just never imagined that man wouldn’t want a wife—least of all me.
Cosimo Ferraro is cold. Controlled. Untouchable. A ruthless mafia prince who doesn’t believe in letting anyone inside his impenetrable walls.
His words are cruel, his dismissals cutting. Yet every time we’re in the same room, his gaze finds me… and refuses to let go.
The pull between us is impossible to ignore. But Cosimo fights it—and me—with everything he’s got.
That’s when his world fractures. His father is murdered. Suddenly the man who wanted nothing to do with me needs me to help him seize the throne he was born to take.
Six months, he promises. Six months of marriage before he’ll set me free.
But six months is long enough for everything to burn—his control, my defenses, and the line between what’s real and what was supposed to be pretend.

Well..., I don't think I'm going to like this book, there seems to be OW drama and H is still hung up on her and refusing to marry h. and his brother actually called H pathetic for being all over her and also insinuated that ow will become his mistress. Bye👋👋enough said!!!!..... I'm not reading any book where H is not obsessed with h
…………….post-read review
No OW drama apparently, but the book was still boring.
If you think writing naive virgin fmc is worse in this book, you are wrong. The author proceeds to glorify hero’s 3 year celibacy as some sort of achievement, really another level of stupidity.
Few lines from the book:
“Three years. He hadn’t slept with anyone for three years. I didn’t think men like him—young, fit, virile—dealt well with that kind of thing. How did he manage?” Mind these were words from a girl who was virgin her entire life🙄
“I’m a good Italian girl. I’ve been saving myself for marriage.” The misogyny, a woman is supposed to follow traditional values, whereas a man can do whatever he wants because apparently he’s young, fit and virile.
Book was so bland, it was finished in like 2 hrs, that too with slow pace. Nothing interesting tbh
"You’re fucking everywhere. Inescapable. Even in my dreams, I can’t escape you. If only you knew how fucking pretty you look inside them"
Gabrielle has done it AGAIN because WTH was that plot twist?????
I’m not kidding when I tell you my jaw actually dropped I can’t wait for everyone to read this book and scream the way I did because I’m still not over it!!!
This book was definitely on the slower-burn side, Both characters took their time learning to trust each other
Fabiana was such a sweet soul who sees the good in every person she meets, and all she wanted was to be treated with the same gentleness she gave everyone else. Instead, her marriage gets arranged to one of the grumpiest, most asshole-ish made men she’s ever met, and she’s convinced he hates her 👀
Cosimo never really wanted a wife, but when his family's circumstances push him to make things work with the woman he never wanted, he gets down on his knees and begs for her forgiveness... and that’s just the beginning of his walls crumbling ;)
The plot twist was absolutely insane, and I still can’t get over it!!
I can’t wait to see what else Gabrielle has in store for us! 🤍
What to expect (for real):
A “fuck it” moment (it was so hot) 🤭 Denies his feelings, but he’s completely whipped NO OW (I was so freaking relieved)!! _________ pre read
ARC SECURED guess whos gonna pull an all nighter to read this 🤭🤭 ______ Gosh I'm so freaking excited for their story I'm gonna be so insufferable when this comes out 🧎🏻♀️

Now for the review:
I loved this. I am already a sucker for arranged marriages, especially when it's not wanted or there is tension/animosity between them. Cosimo has always been against this arrangement made by his mother and you find out quickly why (if you read book 1 then you know what kind of mother she really is, so it is not shocking when you find out the way she has been with Cosimo in his past).
Fabiana is trying to do what is right by her brother and marrying Cos will grant her brother the alliance he needs. Sadly, Cos tries everything he can to make her miserable in the beginning when they finally meet and it works until he realizes he does needs her and he does desperately need to get married. He does come off as a complete utter asshole and treats her like shit. It was hard to read sometimes. Fabiana did not deserve the treatment he was giving her. You could tell he knew what he was doing was wrong and always tried hard to justify his actions, but it was half-hearted.
He has the hardest time trusting anyone and is weary of everyone’s motives and intentions and you obviously will find out why. Fabiana is on the other hand a little too trusting and naive at times, but she sees the good in people. They are opposites attract come to life, but it works for them, he needs someone like that in his life while she needs someone who is willing to protect her and have the ''touch her and you die'' vibes.
There is a mystery throughout the book but because I have read hundreds and I mean hundreds of books my math skills deduced what was going to be revealed and honestly, I was not annoyed that I was right but mostly excited because it was such a fun little surprise addition and the way the scenes played out were shockingly sweet and entertaining.
Overall, I loved it and finished this book in 7 hours. It was fun seeing some old couples from previous books make tiny appearances and I always enjoy Gabrielle’s storytelling and writing and once again this was thoroughly entertaining and a wonderful read.
I do not know whose book is next, but I cannot wait for the next installment!
edit, including ''virgin heroine'' to your trope list is such a tell about what kind of person you are and i am done with misogynistic books.
*insert clown music*
He is in an arranged marriage with fmc that he keeps putting it of due to OW, but please correct me if not, and he has the audacity to still keeps tabs on fmc
If any of my friends who has read her books can confirm her heroes? Here’s an exempt from book one in series
“Since when do you get into fights at my fucking club?” He frowned. “You know?” I cocked my head. “You didn't think Alexis would message me the second my own fucking brother decked some finance bro on the dance floor?” I leaned forward. “What’s going on with you, Cos? Have you forgotten you’re the eldest? The don-in-waiting? You’ve spent a decade building a reputation as someone reasonable. Steady. Someone the family could count on. And now you’re losing your mind over a piece of ass?”
“His nostrils flared. “Watch how you speak about my future wife.” I laughed. He really thought I was clueless. Had he forgotten who I was? What I did for this family? “You son of a bitch, I’m not talking about that poor girl. I saw Fabi last night. She was in the Hamptons with her friends, medicating the depression you’re inducing in her by getting sloshed.” I sank back into the sofa. “I’m talking about Rosa.” Irritation flashed across his face. “How about you stay out of my business?” “Trust me, I’ve been staying out of it, but this has gone on for too long. She’s got you wrapped around her little finger. It’s fucking ridiculous, Cos.” His voice dropped. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.” “I know she likes power and money. You happen to have both. If you think there’s another reason why she’s sleeping with you, you’re deluding yourself.” He flicked his eyes to the window. “You have no idea what she wants or what she’s like.” Oh, but I fucking did. Like recognizes like, and Rosa? She was just like me. A natural at destruction. There weren’t many people I gave a damn about[…]” “But Cos was stubborn. He had to come to that conclusion himself. “What did the finance bro do?” I asked, rubbing my hand over my jaw. “Overstepped.” His vague response probably meant the guy had asked Rosa for a dance in front of Cosimo, not knowing any better.”
This is what author says about this book “A: Yes! I swear, by the time I’m done with him, Cosimo will be eating the crumbs that Fabi drops. It’s gonna be delicious.”
If you haven't read the first book in the House of Ferraro series - 'Be With Me', I recommend that you do so before starting this book, as you may have a better understanding of the backstory for our protagonists in 'Marry Me Not'.
When I met them in the first story, I thought I knew what to expect from this book...I was wrong.
Fabiana Messero always knew that the day would come when she would have to marry for duty, no matter how much she hoped it would also be for love. She didn't expect that she would have to marry a man who despises her at first sight... who is cold towards her, harsh and makes it clear to her that there is no future for them. She's determined to convince her brother to let her break off the engagement when tragedy strikes... and the man she is supposed to marry suddenly needs her. Cosimo Ferraro found himself in an unexpected position. After his father's sudden death, instead of taking his place, he has to fight for it. And for that, he needs the help of his unwanted fiancée.
These two are the true definition of 'opposites attract'. Fabi is innocent, genuine, friendly, and always tends to see only the good in people...while Cosimo is reserved and distrustful. Although he wants to keep her at a distance, Cosimo is aware that he is irresistibly attracted to his soon-to-be wife, but his past betrayals have taught him not to trust anyone. As enemies lurk, can Fabi & Cosimo find the courage to open their hearts to love and endless possibilities?
What you can expect: ♡ mafia romance ♡ arranged marriage ♡ forced proximity ♡ morally gray hero ♡ touch her and die vibes ♡ virgin heroine ♡ trust issues
I'm obsessed with the unexpected revelation at the end of the story...I was speechless. Gabrielle did an awesome job with that, I have to admit. Now I'm quite unsure who the next book is about, and I already can't wait for it!!
I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own and given freely. ____________________ Follow me ♡ Instagram Facebook

4.25 stars!
Even though Marry Me Not is the second book in an interconnected series, I went into it without having read book one. I'd seen the first book around for quite a while but never got around to picking it up. While this one can definitely be enjoyed on its own, reading it made me want to go back, start with book one, and then come back to reread this with all the extra context.
One thing that immediately caught my attention was that it features two of my all-time favorite tropes: marriage of convenience and forced proximity. You can never really go wrong with those—especially when they're wrapped up in a mafia romance. They always create so much tension and chemistry, and this book delivered plenty of both.
Overall, I had a really enjoyable time with this one. It kept me turning the pages, and I'm definitely interested in reading more from this series in the future. If you're a fan of mafia romance and love a good marriage of convenience, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try!
_________________________ Marriage of convenience and forced proximity you say? 😏
Mafia man ON HIS KNEES & BEGGING her to marry him 💍🖤 I’ sat. I’m seated. I’m SATTED. Mafia PURfrection that made me giddy with excitement!
Duty. Desire. Danger. Softhearted Fabiana is ready to dutifully enter an arranged marriage & take on her wifely duties. Her soon to be mafia-hubby Cosimo though…determined to destroy the engagement 💍 After his (contrived) bad behaviour Fabi says ’thank you, NEXT’ but in the PERFECT TWIST OF EVENTS he now desperately needs her to marry him*chef’s kiss* Forced relationship gives way to DESIRE!
“I was a sinner, but with her, I’d catch a glimpse of the divine.”
There’s something about arranged mafia romances that fill me with GIDDY excitement! Fabi and Cosimo’s were a perfect example of ✨OPPOSITES ATTRACT✨ trapped in a forced relationship but sprinkled with restraint desire…I’m fed! My favorite moments:
🖤 she creates pottery & he only uses her ceramic creations
💍 when he writes his name on her body
🖤 girl’s night out ends in a racy selfie text exchange!
💍 he doesn’t spend money on frivolous things…until he drops an easy 1 million on her dress *slow clap*
Devoured this writing! Simple (if a little predictable) plot but it worked because it was centred on a great romance 🫦 The story (nor the character) is not too dark so it’s a light & easy read. Will definitely be reading more from this author!

27/07/26 The reviews are saying there is no OW drama y’all, we rejoice! 💃🏻
———————
Just got an email about the cover of this book and it was beautiful but then I saw the comments about ow and HECK NO there’s no way I’m going to read a book where the mmc delayed his marriage with the fmc over another woman????? This author used to safe for me until her last couple of releases. Hopefully I’m wrong and it’s all a misunderstanding with the ow drama but if it’s true then it’s really sad seeing another safe author fell into using ow drama to create dramas in their books 😭😭
Let me preface by saying I highly enjoyed book 1 of this series, found that couple to be very good, having chemistry and an interesting romance story. So this author can write amazing mafia romance books!
Sadly, I didn't connect to the couple of this book at all. The development of their romantic relationship felt sporadic, forced, and didn't have a strong foundation to be built upon. I felt like they spent little time together, and during those times, nothing indicated at them forming any connection. But then afterwards they'd remember each other and think along the lines of "she got under my skin like no other", "I couldn't shake her", "He was having an effect on me". I'd like to live through the characters experiencing this, not being told afterwards what they felt.
The hero's actions at the start weren't commendable. Instead of dealing with a problem himself, he forced the heroine to take care of it. I disliked him for that and couldn't understand what the heroine saw in him later on to make her want a life with him.
I did like certain scenes: the dress scene, the family-and-friends-together scenes, the bachelorette party, and the Italy visit.
Plus, I've read the book in one sitting, so it was entertaining and easy to get through.
I would still recommend this book to people who want to have fun with a romance in a light mafia setting.
₊˚⊹♡ pre-read ♡⊹˚₊ ↴ literally the quickest approval in the history of quickest approval! and i'm so excited to read this cuz i've been seeing book 1 all over insta so i kinda have high hopes that it's gonna eat so hard!!1!
I really enjoyed their story!! The series is chefs kiss! It has the perfect amount of everything and the characters are easily relatable. This man bought her a 1m dollar dress because she had a dress malfunction and she was embarrassed! And he doesn’t like spending unnecessary money but for her he did everything!
I don’t do that often: but wtf is wrong with you people?
You didn’t like the first book? FINE. Don’t read the second. You are struggling with potential cheating? FINE. Don’t read the second. Or wait for the TW. You can’t copy past a whole page of the first book in the series to affirm that the next one will be lame (and I stay polite). It won’t be available until July 2026. Respect the author and her work, for f*ck sake.
AND for the sake of the humanity, keep your thoughts to yourself. Especially when 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 know 👏🏻 nothing 👏🏻 Damnit. It’s not because you have internet, that you have to share everything that is on your mind.
ARC read — 3.5 stars - I regret delaying my review because I unfortunately cannot remember much of my thoughts on this book 😭😭 However, I will try my best to write something of substance!
I adored Gabrielle's writing in her Fallen series; however, I feel that the first two books in this series aren't exactly my favourites. I will say, though, that this book was better written than the first book, Be With Me. The arranged marriage/MoC trope was integrated nicely, and I was quite fond of both of their characters. Their romance was cute and written with the development of any normal mafia romance; however, I felt quite impartial to their relationship and thought it lacked quite a bit of depth.
Thank you to Gabrielle and her team for supplying me this ARC :)
I'm pretty sure there was a plot twist in this book, but again, I can't remember it, which...might speak for itself as I only finished this book four days ago HAHA...I honestly just believe this book was a normal dark romance, with good banter and great tension in the beginning; however, it fell a bit flat during the middle-end of the book. I really hope to enjoy the next two books of this series a bit more!
Oh, this is the mafia romance series to be reading right now.
I have been excited about Marry Me Not as soon as I finished Be With Me, because I knew this was going to feature one of my favorite tropes: marriage of convenience. And it was everything that I wanted! Cosimo is a closed-off, severe sort of man who thinks loving someone is weakness; Fabiana is smart and passionate and the exact type of woman to show Cosimo that there is strength in being soft and trusting. I was giggling over every part of their relationship, from their rocky meeting to Cosimo breaking all his rules for Fabi.
Cosimo's past has taught him that he should never let anyone in. And from the moment we meet him at the start of the book, he is serious, disciplined, and absolutely against having any sort of real feelings for his wife. Actually, he's absolutely against having any sort of wife at all. This is a true interconnected standalone in that we spend the first ten chapters or so overlapping with events that happen in Be With Me, but it didn't feel repetitive at all. Instead, we follow Cosimo and Fabiana's relationship during that period of time, from their tense first meeting to the personal fallouts that leave them needing each other.
And as the book moves into their arranged marriage, it only gets better. Fabiana is a mafia princess who has never truly had a taste of freedom. She's kind and thoughtful and good—but she's also sharp with Cosimo when she needs to be. I never felt like she let him walk over her; the exact opposite, in fact. She walks him like a dog, and he is truly only soft for his wife. As they spend more time together, it was so, so satisfying to see Cosimo slowly lower his walls. I was giddy every time he tried to deny to himself how much he wanted Fabi, and how jealous and protective he was over her already.
Their love felt like such a natural burn. They had great physical chemistry, but also their conversations made it absolutely believable that they were falling for each other. Their wedding and their first kiss had me kicking my feet! Cosimo lets Fabi chip away at his armor and lets her in on his secrets, and Fabi allows Cosimo's belief in her to bolster her own confidence in herself. They are both such intricate characters, with distinct pasts and traumas that shape who they are, and both poised for so much growth with each other.
The mafia elements of this story carry on from book one, but given the plot overlap at the beginning, I didn't need any sort of refresher and think that anyone who would want to pick up this series from this book wouldn't be lost at all. I really loved how Gabrielle balanced the romance and the plot—Cosimo and Fabi's fake marriage is a direct consequence of what is happening within the Ferraro family and mafia, and the two of them are inextricably tied to solving the mystery at the heart of this story. I felt like the pacing of both were evenly matched, and as their feelings deepened, so did the danger and risk around them.
This is a huge recommendation for anyone looking for a mafia romance book, and series, to pick up. Definitely a must-read for those who love a MMC who is only soft for his wife, and a gentle but determined FMC who proves that being kind isn't a flaw but a strength.
Of course I binged it, this ATE and left no crumbs, I didn’t expect for anything less!!
Hands down in my top ten favourite reads of 2026, I literally could not put it down, since the ARC landed in my inbox. I think I finished it in under 13 hours lmaoo, I’m nothing if not obsessed 🤭
So, where do I start? Honestly, I can’t start without saying how much this surprised me. Given how Cosimo was portrayed and his mannerisms were in Be With Me, I think, like many readers who have read book one; I went into this expecting there to be some other woman drama. It just goes to show I should never doubt the Queen that is Gabrielle. My jaw was literally on the floor, not only because of how surprising Cosimo was as a character, but also because of the plot twists, I genuinely did not see it coming.
I was literally gripped until the last page, and immediately wanted to read it again.
Cos and Fabi, god, I love them so, so much!! Fabi, especially my sweet, soft hearted girl! She’s so fiercely loyal to those she loves, and by agreeing to marrying the aloof and cold mafia heir, she’s determined to do her part, in the arranged marriage that Rafe (WHO I LOVED SEEING AGAIN!!) had arranged with Cosimo’s father, Gino. Cosimo on the other hand is determined not to see the marriage through and convince Fabiana to pull out from the agreement. That is until Gino is suddenly murdered, and Cosimo is in fact very much in need of his bride who he’s successfully managed to push away.
One thing about Gabrielle's men, especially in this series, they're not afraid to get on their knees. And I'm absolutely here for it. As Drake said, "I just wanna see a boy beg on the pavement," and Gabrielle clearly understood the assignment!! 😂🙂↕️
No but serious Cosimo didn’t even fucking hesitate, I was literally salivating! Multiple times, may I add!!!
Actually, I was salivating and almost yeeted my kindle across the room when the micro dicks explosion in the car, I was howling with laughter, and then Cos branding Fabi, goddamn 😮💨😮💨 I, too, BELONG TO COSIMO FERRARO.
Erm, the sauna scene nearly sent me to an early grave. Have mercy, Lord 🥵
Ok, ok, quickly, the plot twist this had, literally I could not have called it, my jaw was unhinged for a good five minutes, and then, well it totally made sense why there is to be a fourth book!! God, i thought was going to be insufferable about Cos and Fabi, and I am, rest assured, but I’m equally going to be insufferable about the next two books, and this series. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’m not sure what is laced in Gabrielle’s books, but it’s something because I’m so obsessed and addicted with them!!
It’s truly an honour being part of Gabrielle’s influencer and ARC team, and I’m endlessly grateful for the review copy of Marry Me Not! 🥹💙
Cosimo was such a mystery and I loved discovering all his secrets … he is not that heartless after all!! When Fabi was informed of the arrangement her brother ( Rafa the man the legend) she did not have much say in the matter, and the dutiful daughter and sister she is, she decided it was her duty to comply. Cosimo on the other hand, did not believe her compliance genuine, or that she is indeed an innocent as she seems... until he got proof that Fabi is 100% what you see is what you get! I mean the man went hunting for the A-hole that wronged her and caused her to get fired from her UN position under fall accusations! His plan to get married for a temporary period of time also didn't stick for long, his possessiveness kicks in and he goes : MYWIFE mode real quick!! Loved how they both were very cautious around each other, but couldn't help falling for the hidden side they each kept from the outside world, including their families. Cosimo's protectiveness and charm will have you falling for this misunderstood Mafia Don.
**THERE IS NO OWD IN THIS BOOK. ABSOLUTELY NONE. DON’T WORRY**
oh good mafia books, how I’ve missed reading you!
Marry Me Not has been one of my most anticipated reads for the last year ever since Gabrielle teased CosimoFabi’s story in Be With Me and it was absolutely worth the wait!
Her ability to write Cosimo as an initial asshole yet also make him likeable completely blindsided me. Normally I feel as though these sorts of archetypes come across as too arrogant or misogynistic but his character development was literal perfection. I’ve never witnessed such a calculated but self-aware MMC and she continues to amaze me with each book! (Romolo was so well written in book 1 too, don’t sleep on this series!) Additionally, allowing that vulnerability to be shown within him and seeing his relationships with not just Fabi, but his brothers and…book 4 dude (I shall not spoil his name!) was so heartwarming and I loved how he wasn’t simply written as ‘a cold shell’.
Fabi was also a well-written FMC. I really like how Gabrielle is able to write characters that fit and understand the dark world they live in, yet not overdo it? Although Fabi had to seem submissive to the workings of her family and get married to Cosimo, she held such a strong backbone and her ability to retain that softness and femininity at the same time was so so well done. I loved the countless times she stood up to Cosimo and other characters, yet also held onto that understanding and loyalty to her brother and friends.
The plot itself was very entertaining and I enjoyed how it was able to involve both Fabi and Cosimo in it (and her demand to be involved!) The reveal of a certain man in the second half was so unexpected but smart and I cannot wait to see more of him!
I’d say that my only criticism was my disappointment in how a certain twist was revealed in the last 80%? Given how much the stakes were rising, it felt as though things were resolved too quickly? I had hoped for a bit more drama or tension, especially in the scene with the capos so it did feel a bit disappointing with how much everything had built up.
Nonetheless, such a fun mafia read and a series I’d definitely recommend!
Thank you to Gabrielle and the team for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review!
An arranged marriage trope + a mafia romance will get me every single time! Marry Me Not was no exception! I have been waiting for this book to come out since December and the wait way worth it!
Marry Me Not follows Cosimo Ferraro a mafia prince and Fabiana. With an upcoming arranged marriage on the horizon, Cosimo is doing whatever he can to get out of it. But when his father murdered, he realizes a stable marriage will be the only way to help him seize his throne. Six months married and then we’ll both be free.
The tension, the plot, the characters oh my! I loved this book so freaking much. I loved both Cos and Fabi. I felt for them equally after knowing what is driving them both to make the choices they’re making. Their chemistry is off the charts? A fuck it moment? Sign me up!
I loved this book as much as I loved the first one and I cannot wait for the next book! If you enjoy a mafia romance, the arranged marriage trope and forced proximity, give this book a read!
Marry Me Not is an arranged marriage, mafia romance and I will warn that you won’t want to put it down.
Cosimo and Fabiana were opposites in every way. Fabiana was gentle, vibrant and good to the core. While Cosimo was grumpy, ruthless and cold. You’d think the two wouldn’t mix well but holy shit the connection between them was electric. Their difference ended up complimenting each other perfectly and i loved that i got to watch them figure it out.
Fabiana comes from a rival mafia family and her marriage to Cosimo is supposed to end the feud and bring peace. But Cosimo is a stubborn man and any woman chosen by his wench of a mother wouldn’t be his wife. Jokes on him though because from the moment he laid eyes on Fabiana he was hooked.
I really enjoyed this book, the story drew you in and the chemistry and banter between the characters made the story so fun I didn’t want to put it down. Thank you Gabrielle for the advanced copy! I’m so grateful and I cannot wait for what’s to come!
Gabrielle Sands... what do you lace these books with?!
I told myself I was going to read a few chapters before bed...Next thing I knew I was halfway through the book wondering why I thought sleep was more important than finding out when Cosimo was finally going to get his act together.😂
If you read Be With Me then you probably walked away thinking Cosimo was going to be impossible to love. I know I did. Cosimo isn't cold because he doesn't feel. He's cold because feeling has always cost him something. Trust has never been safe for him. Love has never been safe for him. So instead of risking either one he pushes everyone away including the woman who's supposed to become his wife.
And let me tell you babes...I wanted to fight this man.
Poor Fabiana deserved SO much better than the version of Cosimo she met in the beginning. Every harsh word, every time he pushed her away, every excuse he made... I was sitting there like, "Sir... respectfully, get yourself together."
But hat's what made this story so satisfying because Cosimo doesn't magically wake up a better man. He earns it and when this man realizes exactly what he's about to lose...
BABES. THAT'S THE MOMENT.
The apologies. The desperation. The begging. The obsession. I was eating every single page up.🤌🏽
Fabiana chooses compassion over and over again and that becomes the strongest thing about her. She refuses to let Cosimo's walls turn her into someone she's not and I loved that she made him work for every ounce of her trust.
Because he absolutely deserved to work for it and trust me...Watching this emotionally unavailable mafia prince completely unravel over one woman. Worth every page.
What I love about Gabrielle Sands is that the romance is never the only thing happening. Every chapter had me questioning someone. Every family dinner felt like a ticking time bomb. Every conversation made me wonder who was lying.
Then THAT plot twist happened...My jaw literally dropped. I won't spoil it babes because everyone deserves to experience that moment themselves but I genuinely did not see it coming. Now I'm sitting here needing the next Ferraro book immediately because I am way too invested in this family.
Read this if you love 🖤 Arranged marriage ❤️ Mafia romance 🥀 Forced proximity 🖤 Grumpy x sunshine ❤️ Touch her and die 🥀 He falls harder 🖤 A man who has to GROVEL ❤️ Protective obsession 🥀 Family secrets & plot twists
Gabrielle Sands has officially become one of my automatic read authors.
Marry Me Not is an arranged marriage, mafia romance and the 2nd standalone in the House of Ferraro series. I loved the first book and had an equally fun time with this book!
Fabiana’s brother Rafe (hero of previous book) has arranged a marriage for her to the Ferraro family who they’ve been doing business with. Cosimo Ferraro is the underboss of his family and both he and Fabiana are not looking forward to their upcoming marriage. They both want out of it, but when something drastic happens in his family, he needs to prove his stability to his family and get married immediately. He tells Fabiana they can get an annulment/divorce in 6 months once his family gets settled. But of course along the way they fall for one another!
This was super fun, reads quickly. I loved the slow burn of the romance, all those moments of touching, feeling, falling, and then pulling back to prove to themselves the “marriage isn’t real”. We get a fun “F it” moment and I just loved the chemistry between these two and how they both pushed one another! It was fun seeing her push him since he doesn’t usually get pushed or have someone in his life like her. I liked her love for art, ceramics/pottery too, and we get a bit of a mystery as well as he’s trying to solve a murder in his family.
I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.
"I'd told her I'd ruin other men for her, but in that moment, I knew I was the one being ruined."
Cosimo and Fabiana were INCREDIBLE in this mafia romance that had me hooked from the start! There's just something about an arranged marriage paired with the mafia world too that always has me so excited to see who will fall first, what will unite them, and what will finally make them realize it's more than just an arrangement, and Gabrielle did an incredible job giving us all of this and more!
The TENSION we got between these two was un-freaking-real and made for the best build up while we waited for one of them to finally give in to the chemistry sizzling between them.
Cosimo was the perfect amount of brooding and grumpy, while also having the best internal monologue about his true feelings for Fabiana. And Fabiana, while bound by duty her family to marry Cosimo, she still held her own, showed a strong back bone, while also having a tender heart. She knew just when to push Cosimo and when he needed space. These two read each other so well, and I loved their dynamic!
Thank you so much to Gabrielle and team for my eARC! I'm so so excited for what's to come in this series💙
I devoured this book. Mafia romance, arranged marriage. Cosimo oldest son to the Don, has just been told he will be marrying a sister to a family rival. He doesn’t want anything to do with Fabiana, even though he thinks she is beautiful. Something tragic happens to the family, and he should be taking the place as the new Don, but his evil mother has different plans. For him to show that he is ready to be the head of the family he makes a deal with Fabiana to marry for six months so he can take his new role that is his.
The twist and turns is this Maria was so good!! The love that blossoms between Cosimo and Fabiana was sweet, as we see Cosimo show his softer side. I absolutely loved this book and need the third book immediately
I’m so sad :/ I expected sooooo much more from Cosimo and Fabiana.
After reading Be With Me, I really thought their book would be super emotional. Fabiana was depressed for almost the entire book, so I expected Marry Me Not to dive deeper into that. And maybe I also wanted to see a little more of Cosimo’s toxic side… SUE ME 😭 I just thought they’d have to work through all of that together and really grow as a couple.
But idk… I honestly couldn’t even tell you what Marry Me Not was about. It just feels like nothing substantial happened. I kept waiting for something emotional or memorable, but it never really came.
