Typical 2nd chance. Thought it would be different but no.

God forbid we read about a woman who can move on from a loser with lame excuses why he just had to fuck so many other women while the heroine was busy raising their kid.

Why are women always being written like they’re stupid? It’s so fucking annoying!

Welcome to Diamondback Clubhouse! Where your taken back to the massacre began, & new troubles have started! After Kansas makes an irreversible decision & now war is looming isn shadows - we’re all waiting to see what’s coming!? Lina and Monk desperately deserve their happily ever after , but after these 7 years and their past and old trauma that haunts them. Can they get past and move forward?

I truly enjoyed this next chapter and seeing how things all continued to play and I loved seeing it all happen 🥰 I’m truly inspired by Rebecca and her mastermind with these storylines .

I love this Author but....

I just couldn't get interested into the story. Nothing really happens the first 80% of the book. It just go back and forth between the two characters and then a lot of pages of s€x.

It would have been a,great book if it started with her coming back and getting together with him and then started at the 80% mark.

Really hope the next one is better and the series doesn't go downhill.

This is such a great story about two incredibly strong characters. I love a strong female and Carolina (Lina) has to become that strong woman after thinking Monk (John) dies in the Diamondback MC massacre.

Monk is always looking behind his back, a federal agent on his case to constantly get back into WITSEC and threatening him and his MC family.

I really enjoyed this book and the two characters and how they grew during their time apart (okay Monk didn’t really grow at all and struggled without Lina LOL) but when he found her back in town was determined to get back in her life (and so much more - no spoilers here!)

Don’t miss this book in the Diamondback MC series and find out what happens to Monk, Lina and the entire MC. Love love love this book! So well written, and read it in one day!!!

Great book
Lina devastated by a massacre at the MC club where her boyfriend is a member convinced he has died she
Packs up everything and leaves including his unborn baby . For 7 years she believes he died along with most of the other members she makes a life for herself and her baby .
Monk survived the massacre with a hand full of other brothers. He searched for Lina everywhere but couldn’t find her so believing she may have died carry’s on as best he can .
Jump forward 7 years lina’s dad becomes ill she returns home and sparks fly and feelings are reignited

Fabulous

A second chance romance for Monk a member of the MC and Lina, they were together when the massacre happened at the clubhouse and Monk always told her if something happened to him she should run. So she ran leaving her hometown and family and friends. She goes to law school whilst raising a baby on her own, but now her dad is sick and needs help with the family farm so she returns,Monk is in the witness protection program but there’s something fishy going on with that,he sees Lina and her kid at the farm one day shocking Lina who thought he was dead. Twists and turns, secrets, drama and love. Highly recommend this book 🖤❤️

Well, this book leaves a lot of questions?

What's happening to the farm?
What's gonna happen to the agent?
Was Kali ok?
Who were the 3 at the end!?!?!?!
Who actually killed Kole?
Is there a traitor?

The book was great and monk and lina's story was full of all the usual, devastation, misunderstandings etc.

At times Monk really annoyed the hell out of me. His double standard was tough get passed but I managed.

But the further to the end of thr book you get, the more that is revealed? The more you want!

I think this is the one of the best endings yet and the action to come is gonna be phenomenal.

Lina was perfection and definitely held her own best part about the book was her

This one had me wanting to slap so many people 🤣

Let's start out with the beginning Lina saw 2 pink lines and then a blood bath of course she ran he said too. So I don't fault her she put her child first.

Now Monk made me angry alot in this book he started their relationship out on lies cause of WITSEC I get he couldn't talk but I think she should of been a exception if he loved her.
Also he told her to run if anything happen well crap hit the fan she ran for her kid like he in my opinion had no right to be mad at her. Also that thing with Ruby I was ready to throw hands at Monk and Ruby like what in the world and then he wanted to take Lina to bed like that was gonna fix it. I think Lina handle it the right way I'm glad she said what she did. Now as far as Pence that was something we all saw coming I mean with what he did yea saw it coming . Now VIVi and the bomb she dropped I want that girl to get a happily ever after she deserves happiness It not her fault what Pence did. Trigger in this book made me want to put him in time out with the fit he did. Also Lina dad took everything well considering Lina and a kid and Monk whole thing was dropped on him. Kansas love that man always will. Lina was a Boss she is amazing for what she did for the club and stuff overall book was good but I just constantly wanted to smack someone 🤣Also can we all say Kansas had every right to throw hands when the race happen and they put hands on his old lady like he was in the right. Now I do feel by the end of the book Monk made me smile the way he stepped up for her and his daughter made me happy.
Favorite Quote and scene is this
“You’re an idiot,” she whispered against my lips. “A beautiful, broken, fucked-up idiot. But you’re my idiot. And I’m not going anywhere.”

As always makes you see more unhidden gems in the story and more things come out .

A long awaited return to the Diamondbacks MC, I know we were there during Slaughter .
This is a second chance romance, Monk aka John Smith, had been dating Carolina ‘Lina’ Wilcox when the clubhouse was attacked and anyone, including women and children, in it was murdered, slaughtered in fact. Lina had seen the news and rushed there to be told there were no survivors, only John was on a run with other members including Kansas Stone.
John had always told her if anything were to happen to him she was to run, leave Lawton . That’s exactly what she did taking her baby secret with her.
This woman is amazing, she put herself through law school working part time and bringing up her daughter on her own. She is a sh sh sh….sugar hot attorney and a the best role model for Tatum her daughter. Then comes the call from her elderly dad’s neighbour, he’s fallen and in the hospital, her mum is dead, her brother is over seas so who else is going to care for him. She doesn’t want to but what choice does she have.
Can you imagine her shock when she sees her late boyfriend alive and kicking , still in his Kutte, with a VP on his chest and he has the front to say “you left” , yeah she was beyond angry. She loves him still, he loves her, sounds simple but it never is.

This story takes us to Diamondback Territory, which was a pleasant surprise. It starts with a look back at what caused Lina and Monk to separate. Lina believed Monk was gone, and she remembered what he once told her to do. Even though she was scared, she followed his advice to protect the only part of him she still had. Time passes, and Lina has never returned home or explained what happened, not even to her father. When her father gets hurt, a family friend calls Lina and she finally comes back.

Since Lina disappeared after the tragedy at the clubhouse, Monk’s life has felt empty. He’s focused on protecting his sister while they both live in witness protection.

He finally sees her, and his brothers confirm what he saw. When they come face to face, can they move past their complicated and unfinished history? What will happen when Monk meets his mini-me? This story has its share of angst, but at its heart, it's about two people who find happiness together, even if it comes later than expected.

Events 7 years ago changed the clubs life forever, but from the ashes it was rebuilt only somethings cant ever be the same again. Monk lost family that day but he also lost Lina the woman he loved. Lina left to protect her unborn child, beleiving the man she loved was gone, she made a life for them both and a stella career as a defence autorney but when her father becomes ill it brings her back to the one place she swore not to return, and now the past is very much alive as Monk stands before her, and he has no plans on letting her go, but lifes not going to make it easy for them, or the witsec agent assigned to Monk. Well written the story is engaging, twist filled suspense, desires, second chances, drama amd more a great addition to the series, and the long awaited return of the diamondbacks!

Diamond Back MC book 2 is Monk and Lina's gritty, intense story. Lots of drama, suspense and intrigue kept me flipping the pages and completely engaged from start to finish. Loaded with twists and turns this story does not let go easily. This couple has a lengthy history and a love that overcomes everything, eventually. But outside forces and all the trouble that comes with those factors is causing huge problems for Diamond Back and the brothers. Of this author leaves us in great anticipation of what she's bringing us next with this series but, you can definitely count on it being epic whatever comes next. You don't want to miss out on this fantastic second chance journey, it's absolutely fantastic and a 100% must read!

Oh Monk! My heart broke for Monk and Lina. Seven years ago, Monk and Lina's world blew up. Literally. She did as he requested and ran. But it turns out, Monk was still alive, and didn't know why she ran. Now, she's back, and she's not alone. Follow along as Monk and Lina try to navigate their new normal. Can they get past old hurts and miscommunications to get back what they lost? Welcome back to the Diamonback clubhouse! With Kansas making an irreversible decision, and a war on the horizon, looming ever closer, this book is full of all the angst and delicious intrigue I've come to expect and love from Rebecca Joyce.
So, grab a beverage, your favorite blanket, and settle in. Buckle up, Buttercup. Monk is one helluva ride!

There Back ! What a way to make a statement Monk couldn’t be left behind with all the twists and turns of this book world! Carolina or Lina as she’s goes by never thought she would be back to her hometown except her father needs her. What Lina thought she left behind due to the circumstances that happened that fateful night comes back with a ghost she thought was her past has been alive and living while Lina ran with a part of the person she loved having to start over . What Monk thought happened to Lina is what his own words for her to do in case something happened. But Monk can’t see she did everything he told her to do. But what will happen when Monk finally decides to get his freedom ? What twists, secrets, are we going to uncover will more betrayals come to light? Oh my goodness so much juicy stuff happening lol. So many characters and some questions answered. A old enemy returns .

3.5⭐️ Monk is a second chance at love story. I usually love these kinda stories but Monk was just so unlikable to me. I really did not like his character at all. Now Lina, she was awesome. I love a ball bustin’ attorney who takes no 💩. She was smart, fierce and everything I would’ve have loved to be when I grow up. Lina is what made me stick with this story because honestly I was struggling to get through it. Not every book will be my favorite but each book is important to form the connection between each of these characters. Looking forward to who is up next in the line up.

Lina thought she had lost John for good. That night at the clubhouse, all those bodies. She did what he told her. She was strong, smart and a dang good mom. But when the call to come back home comes, everything changes. He is alive. What had she done?

Monk had only loved one woman, but she had ran. He couldn't forget her, but she ran. Now he sees her and everything comes to a halt. Can they move past what happened? Will their future do them in?

Things are still playing out in the complicated mess.

Rebecca always tells a brilliant story and Monk and Lina’s was as gripping and well written as them all, I absolutely loved it ❤️❤️❤️ Lina becomes a straight shooter when she goes into lawyer mode, no holds barred, straight for the throat attitude, my kinda woman. This is a definite page turner, couldn’t put it down, very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤 Cannot wait to read Whisper’s book.

Successful defence attorney Lina has to return to Lawton, the place she fled from 7 years ago after her life was turned upside down.

Monk has lived the last 7 years empty and cold. He lost brothers that fateful day and also the love of his life.

This is a one sitting, page turner jam packed with turmoil, angst, betrayals, secrets, OW interference, emotion and revelations as danger has the Diamondback MC firmly in its sights.

It’s been a while since the first Diamondback MC book, Kansas, but Rebecca has made this story very much worth the wait and an epilogue that has left me wanting the next in the series immediately.

I enjoyed the story. The main story is a second chance romance. Monk and Lina were doing well together until a tragedy hit the clubhouse and she ran, like Monk asked her to. Then we have a big time jump where they both are living their own lives until Lina comes back to town. Of course I also enjoyed all the other stuff going on within the MC and all the main plot twists and turns. Excited to see what comes next in this series!

Not exactly a fan of Monk's he just rubbed me the wrong way. I did like the story and really liked Lina's character a lot. Looking forward to the rest of the storyline. I gave a five star because of who the author is. Her books are one of a kind and I love her stories. I just hope Monk redeems himself or he may end up not being a character I like from Rebecca. But that is ok

Stopped at like 50%. John/monk pissed me off with his double standard of sleeping with anyone who walks and then getting pissed at Lina for maybe sleeping with someone and having a kid. The whole WITSEC storyline was ridiculous. Why didn’t he just reach out to the big guys and say that the agent was harassing and threatening him. (Maybe he did and not happened later in the book)

Wow talk about one horrible mistruth. Lina did exactly what Monk told her to do if something ever happened to him. She ran and became a ghost. Little did she know that what she thought and heard that night was not right. Monk is one hot headed foolish man. It was okay for him to be fooling around all that time but he completely flips when he thinks she has done the same. There are some horrible undertones going on in the Diamondback MC territory.
