K.I. Lynn is one of my favorites so I’m not sure how I missed this novella of hers! Either way, as soon as I saw it I put my arcs on hold and jumped in! If you are a fan of forbidden love, brother’s best friend books and/or office romances, this is the novella for you!

Dean is a 33 year old man going through a divorce. His co-worker is also his best friend, Cooper. Cooper has a 19 year old little sister named Alyssa. He needs a favor from Dean. Alyssa needs an internship for college and can’t do it with a family member, so of course Dean says okay.
Dean and Alyssa have crazy hot chemistry. He tries to deny the intense pull he has to her… she’s too young, he doesn’t want to risk his friendship etc- but when that chemistry turns to real feelings, sometimes it’s worth the risk.
I enjoyed reading this novella lots. KI Lynn is a talented author- I love knowing no matter what she puts out it will be well written. Tempt is a great steamy, forbidden novella! I only wish it was longer ;)

Office romance + Older man (33) & younger woman (19) + Best Friend’s little sister = LURRRVE.
I am not sure what it is about an office setting that just does it for me. I love a good hot read that focuses on white collar characters. There is something that just does the trick when we get the professional male character that carries a little power, a lot of control and then suddenly all hell breaks loose as desire for a woman breaks every ounce of restraint.
For me, Tempt was that perfect combo. Dean knows that lusting after Alyssa is wrong. Not just because his divorce is not finalized, not just because he is over a decade older or that she is his intern and her protective older brother is his best friend. But all of those reasons don’t outweigh the urge to claim her and attempt to work her out of his system.
But for our young Alyssa, lusting after Dean wasn’t anything new. Her crush had lingered for years, and now that she has a chance to finally have the man she desires, there is no way in hell she is going to take no for an answer.
I am a huge KI Lynn fan. HUGE. She was the first author that I stalked, back when she brought Nathan Thorne into my life and showed me just how good a dirty talking hero could be. When it comes to her releases I am so greedy for them. Not only is she the queen of dirty talk, but she writes some of the most descriptive dirty scenes I’ve come across. Tempt was no different. But Tempt, which was also a short story still felt complete though. It felt like you got a complete story with this one although I enjoyed the characters and could have easily read their relationship develop over hundreds of pages.

This is my first K.I. Lynn book. Why? Where have I been? I have no idea. She's been on my radar, but for some reason I haven't picked up a book by her until now. With this book, I've now been tempted to read more by her.
Dean Sampson is going through a divorce. Alyssa Lockley is his new intern and also his best friend's sister. She's also nineteen. He's fourteen years older than her. All of these things combined should give him enough reason to stay away, but there's chemistry sizzling between these two and it's only a matter of time before they react to it.
Even though it was a novella it still had quite an impact. It was hot, sexy and left me wanting more. This was one of my favorite plots, forbidden brother's best friend romances, so it's no wonder that I enjoyed it. I'm so glad I picked this one up. I now have a new author to stalk.

So many good things in this one but it is very short.

Dean is trying to stay away from the very tempting Alyssa since Cooper, her older brother and a man he works with, has threatened him with death if he looks at her wrong. Dean is pretty angry about his attraction towards Alyssa, not only because of her brother but also because he is going through a very ugly divorce with a money grubbing, soon-to-be ex-wife, who has cheated multiples times. Hot angry sex in the beginning soon blossoms into true love.

2.5 not quite what I was hoping for stars.
I had high hopes going into this; I've adored previous books by this author, it's my favourite 'secret/forbidden affair with the hot boss' trope and he's older than her, but this didn't really do it for me.
It was a very short read, but even allowing for that, the pace of the attraction was too fast take me with it. Instead of a sizzling attraction and a ramping up of sexual tension, it just kind of seemed a bit crass and rushed to me. It's narrated in first person by the older boss guy, Dean, which didn't help really as he didn't think about much else than getting his cock wet (idk, perhaps that's how guys think) but I'm afraid I found the persistent references to his hard cock eye-rollingly repetitive.
Others have enjoyed this though, so if you're looking for a quick read, this may suit, but after having read a similar set up in the Reasonable Doubt series and the Legal Affairs series, this wasn't my favourite rendition I'm afraid.

I'm a big fan of K.I. Lynn. Always have been. Ever since I read her Breach series I've hungered for more of her work. This novella was simply amazing! For something so short and sweet, it packed one hell of a punch. I really loved that the story was told from Dean's pov and that despite all obstacles, he just couldn't resist his sweetest temptation, Alyssa. It was smutty and sexy and adorable and at the end I craved even more, which makes this story a huge success in my eyes!

How many things I love are in this book, let's see -

Dean was so good at the dirty talk and who doesn't like to read about some hard sex over the office desk. And Alyssa was no weak ass heroine either, she gave as good as she got. This wasn't just a dirty read, it had enough of a story line to add a bit of substance. Would I have liked more? Of course but I'll take what I can get without complaining.
Add all that together and you get a cracking little story. This book was so hot I'm surprised my kindle didn't melt.

Having just finished Six, I was looking to sample something else by this new-to-me author. This novelette was Kindle Unlimited, so free and short was great. I had a very "meh" reaction. Trope was typical, sex was spicy, but the emotion and attraction left a lot to be desired. I've read better stories where there is a significant age gap between the couple, even in short form. FYI she is 19 (office intern and best friend's little sister), and he is 33. 2.5 rounded to 3 stars.

I am a big fan of this author and so I went into this short novella with high expectations. It ended up being a bit cheesy and full of every erotica cliché under the sun, but it was still a fairly entertaining read.
Dean Sampson is lusting after his 19 year old intern, who is 14 years his junior AND his best friend and Co-workers sister. He is going through a divorce from the bitch from hell, and as much as he would like to jump into bed with her, he is respectful enough to try and keep it in his pants.
It's not until the previously, professional and coy Alyssa makes a move on him, that he throws his halo out of the window and starts an illicit affair with her. However, when their secret is found out, Dean is forced to stand up to her family.
It was OK, I didn't hate it but I didn't really connect with Alyssa & Dean, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked.

I loved this short story. I loved Dean and Alyssa's story about their forbidden love.
I worry if I give in and have her once, I’ll want more.
I’m already addicted to everything about her. A monster salivating to devour the fair maiden.
Dean can’t help but be tempted by this hot little intern in his office who is none other than his best friend's little sister. He is consumed by his need for her and can’t resist the tempting beauty advances for any longer.
It was a short erotic story that will definitely leave you very satisfied.
I want to spend forever tainting her, making her as addicted to me as I am to her.
4,5 stars. I wanted it to be longer...I wanted more, I needed more.
I want more Dean.

A great short, sexy book about a young intern that is driving her boss (14 years older) crazy (with want). Unfortunately, the intern is the 19 year old sister of the boss's best friend who also works at the company and has threatened everyone with death if they mess with his sister. But the mind will have what the mind (and body wants). What was especially great was that the 19 year old h knew exactly what she wanted also and was a strong and feisty other half of a great H/h. I'd love to see a longer version of this story.

Book 3 by K.I. Lynn, in The Dirty Anthology a 4. Was GREAT for a novella! Even with 1 character being still married it didn't deter me, & that's saying something. Even the age difference it didn't deter me, based on personal experience that's saying something. So, yeah this book was great!

I like the short story. I liked that the time wasn't drawn out and doing the wish washy thing. I'm glad Dean stepped up and made sure to say he was loving her. What I didn't like was the lack of details? We saw parts of the ex wife but now how Megan got the details. The details are very important and I would like to find out how the brothers got together and so forth.
