Murder Under the Mistletoe was really good! I liked the characters and mystery -- did not guess who the "bad guys" were and was surprised in the end.

All in all, I was entertained with the story and recommend it if you like romantic suspense. You don't need to have read the previous books in order to enjoy this one.

This was a great, entertaining story, with a message of trusting God even in during the worst moments of your life.
The story has an intense start, and the build up from the beginning, holds well through the story. The drugs being smuggled through the Christmas tree farm set the stage, with many different agencies involved, and Heather with her son Colin in the middle of it.
Heather's brother Seth had fallen into the temptation of easy money, had died for his mistakes of getting involved with the drug cartel, and now has gotten his sister and her son in danger as well.
The characters in story are charming, they have depth, distinctive personalities, and are captivating. I liked how Taylor reminds Heather again and again to trust God, when things went wrong. They looked for God's guidance, protection, and wisdom. The trust in Him was unbreakable. The things Taylor said about forgiveness, the importance of it, not letting anger and bitterness to poison our minds and heart, but forgive to even those, it seems too hard to do, to save your own soul.
The action and suspense in the story is well built, with some twists. There were moments that made me raise my eyebrows, but mostly very tense and believable hunt for the culprits at the farm.
The story has lots holiday spirit, a lovely Thanksgiving feast, and a lonely agent, who finally opens his heart and mind to the possibility of love, family and a happily ever after future

What a great Christmas story! I enjoyed this book because I love Christmas and any book connected with this time of year is always a favorite, but I loved it for other reasons as well.

What I liked: The Christmas tree theme, of course, but the plot builds on itself from the beginning and ends with a satisfying conclusion. I also thoroughly enjoyed the character development; The main characters grow and mature throughout the story, and even the antagonist has good characteristics as well as bad.

What I didn’t like: I knew almost from the beginning who the antagonist was, but it did not deter my enjoyment of the story. There were enough good qualities in that person to make me wonder if my initial assessment was correct.

Over all, I give this book five stars. It was thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone loving a good Christmas story as well a good suspense.

After her brother is found dead, Heather returns to run the family business only to find out it is being used for drug smuggling. Heather is joined (in a sort of funny scene involving a frying pan) by a DEA agent assigned to protect her. The author did a nice job of having multiple characters who were likely suspects. I love the author use of Christmas season in this novel.

Murder Under the Mistletoe is another in the Love Inspired Suspense line. I truly enjoy this medium of the Harlequin company.

Rating: 3.5 Stars
Content: Mild violence, talk of drugs and drug use in a negative light, kissing, religious elements

Terri Reed books are always good and this no exception!
Heather Randall is just trying to get over the untimely death of her brother Seth from a drug overdose and decides to move back home to the farm. She's surprised to receive a warning to leave the farm because it is not safe.
DEA Agent Tyler Griffen has an important mission and that is to retrieve a journal kept by Seth Larson, Heather's brother. Tyler is knocked out by a frying pan of all things and a little lady to boot! How will he ever live this down.
Tyler comes up with away to protect Heather and her son. Hopefully they can figure out a way to protect Heather, find the drugs and how to survive together.

Northern Border Patrol: Keeping the US-Canadian border safe..
This is Heather Larson-Randall and Tyler Griffin's story.
"Good night, sweet boy." Heather Larson-Randall leaned in to kiss her six-year-old son's forehead.
"Night, Mommy." Colin snuggled deeper beneath the thick comforter. He lay in the twin-size bed in the room that once had been Heather's.
Gone were the decorations of her adolescence—posters of the latest celebrity heartthrob and her 4-H ribbons and trophies. It had taken the past three days to transform the room in a superhero motif that would have made Ken, her late husband, proud.
The swoosh of moving air alerted DEA agent Tyler Griffin to an impending attack. He spun around, the penlight dropping to the ground, and raised an arm to deflect the blow. He was too late. Something hard and solid glanced off his elbow and connected with his head, sending pain shooting in all directions through his body.
The crack to his noggin sent him staggering backward until his back hit the dining room table. He toppled sideways into a sprawling heap on the floor. His elbow throbbed all the way to his shoulder.
I recommend reading.
Murder Under the Mistletoe by Terri Reed is a wonderful well written 5 star book.
I recommend reading.
I am looking forward to reading more books by Terri Reed.

This is one of those books that you pick it up and say it will be good because Terri Reed's books are always good. But this one isn't good, it's awesome. I just could not put it down. I started reading it and then found myself walking every where with the book in my hand until it was finished.

Heather lost her husband who was killed in the war. Her parents who were killed in a bad car accident and now she has lost her brother to what appears to be a drug overdose. Heather thought he was off the drugs but she hadn't seen her brother in a while.

Tyler is the DEA her brother was working with when he overdosed. Heather finds her life turned upside down while she finds out that someone is possibly using her Christmas tree farm to transport drugs.

Loved the book and thank you Terri Reed for giving us another awesome read.

"It's okay to be mad, but your feelings shouldn't dictate your trust of God. " (148)

I really enjoyed Murder Under the Mistletoe by Terri Reed. Though it is the third book in the Northern Border Patrol series, it can definitely be read as a standalone, since I didn't read the others either. However, you do get glimpses of the main characters from the other books and boy, they are yummy in terms of character and plot lines. Back to Murder Under the Mistletoe. First, love the Christmas theme, having it be set in a Christmas tree farm, which is a new setting to me. I find it intriguing in knowing a little bit about the business side of it. The Christmas village and the shipment details are all fascinating. Then there are the characters. At times, I do find the constant denial of the chance of development between our main characters was somewhat aggravating, but I understand. Sometimes, trust and forgiveness are hard to come by, and then the fact that you've lived your life one way for so long. Can God really expect you to change? Then to top of is the simple message of trusting God. There are reminders, mainly verbal between our characters, but reminders nonetheless for readers too. The message is clear, wrapped in with a love story and a mystery that quite frankly wasn't too hard to guess. However, it did provide a little suspense to ramp things up a bit.

In all, a great story worth exploring, especially with the other books in the story too!

This is not the first Christian / Inspirational romance I’ve read, but it is absolutely the most religious. However, my rating is not reflective of that.

My rating is what it is because I unfortunately thought the writing of this was awful. The amount of mentions of God and singing happy birthday to Jesus and such didn’t help, but it was so incredibly cheesy (and not in a fun hallmark way, in an eye rolling way) and just did not work at all for me.

A couple of other things - the timeline in general makes this very insta-love, but then I didn’t care for how long the timeline became with the ‘complication’ near the end (aka the pacing just didn’t work for me), and while I did like Nathanial enough to be curious about his story, I simply don’t think Terri Reed’s writing is for me.

Heather and her small son has moved to their family tree farm after her brother who ran the farm was found dead from an overdose of cocaine. Her parents are dead so it is up to her to run the family business and she has no where else to go now. Then DEA agent Tyler Griffin shows up. She discovers that her brother was working with him to stop a drug cartel who is trying to use the farm to smuggle narcotics across the Canadian border. Will Tyler be able to keep Heather and her son safe and figure out who is threatening them? Will the danger be closer than they think? Several twists and turns.

Northern Border Patrol #2

After her husband had been killed in the service, both her parents died in a tragic car accident. No the after her brother Seth died of a drug over dose. Heather was sad, discouraged, but had to keep working the family Christmas Ranch Tree Farm. It had been in the family for generations, she could not give up now. A good suspense/romance novel in this series. Do enjoy!

I enjoyed this suspenseful story. Set on a Christmas tree farm, agents are trying to find out who is running a drug ring using some of the shipments of Pines. I was able to decide who it was before it was actually disclosed or I might have considered five stars.

Just what I needed - a quick easy read - mystery/romance between a single, widowed mom and a hunky DEA agent on a Christmas tree in Idaho. Perfect after my last long heavy read and before my next heavy read! Sometimes I just need a break from heavy, long, serious stories. This fit the bill!

I took off a star because of commercial Christmas! I hate when parents teach their children about Santa it ruins what Christmas is truly about.

This is the second book I've picked for my Christmas readathon and it was so worth it! so good! highly recommend

Cocaine, a Christmas tree farm and a drug cartel--all part of this Northern Border Patrol story. Tyler Griffin's in charge of taking down the drug cartel. Heather Larson-Randall owns the tree farm, and learns it's implicated as part of the drug running going on that is sending the drugs into Canada.

How to catch the bad guys? How to prevent harm to Heather and her son? It's Tyler's job to do both, but can he--especially when he's distracted by his attraction to Heather and her attraction to him?

4 STARS

Good clean suspense romance. Plenty of drama, good characters and some violence.
I would have loved to see the Christmas Tree farm and village. It sounds like a beautiful setting. In Idaho
Heather Larson-Randall is a widow and moved her son Colin back to the family tree farm after the death of her brotherSeth from a drug overdose. Heather gets a phone call telling her to take her son away her brother death was not what it looked like.

Tyler Griffin is a DEA Agent on a joint task force. After using a key to go into the house he thought was empty he was hit over the head with a heavy fry pan. His cover is now blown. He tells Heather that her brother was working with the DEA and had written down what he observed about drugs being used through the farm to Canada.

Heather decides to claim Tyler as a business partner to help her manage the farm. His two partners are hired on too. Tyler is now assigned to keep her and her son safe and find how the drugs are smuggled out.

I really liked watching the characters together. I did figure out early who the one bad guy was.
I liked the way Tyler and Heather worked at having faith in hard times. It was not easy though.

I enjoy reading books by Terri Reed and will continue looking forward to reading more books by her.

I was given this ebook to read by Net Galley and Harlequin and in return I agreed to give a honest review of Murder Under the Mistletoe.

Good book. Tyler is a DEA agent and is determined to figure out who is smuggling drugs using the tree farm as a cover and stop them. Problem is, Heather and her son have recently moved onto the farm after her brother died. Tyler has to tell Heather that her brother was helping him with the investigation and was murdered because of it. Now he has vowed to keep Heather and her son safe and it is a good thing since there seem to be a lot of 'accidents' happening.
I felt so sorry for Heather at the start of the book. She had lost her only brother to what she believed was suicide. Then found out it wasn't suicide but that he was murdered. It was just heartbreaking. I did like how she and Tyler met though. That made me laugh. Her little boy was adorable and I loved getting to know him. Tyler's friends/colleagues were interesting and I'm looking forward to learning more about them hopefully in future books. The story was good, the characters well developed and believable. Overall it was a good book.
This was a 4/5 for me. I really enjoyed the book and it is a good, quick read.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book (via netgalley). I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

Murder Under the Mistletoe by Terri Reed is another amazing clean romantic suspense from the author. In this one, we meet Heather Larson-Randall who manages a Christmas tree farm in Idaho and is a widow living with her son. Her brother is dead too. Tyler Griffin is a DEA agent working undercover to stop a drug cartel that uses a Christmas tree farm to smuggle narcotics across the Canadian border. Needing Heather's help in catching the criminals, he will first have to convince her to trust him when it was because of him that her brother died!

I enjoyed reading this book. There is plenty of mystery, suspense and a good clean romance. The story is fast paced and as usual, I loved Terri's writing style. She had me visualizing the Christmas tree farms in Idaho and had me wanting to visit them.

All in all, Murder Under the Mistletoe by Terri Reed is suspenseful story that kept me engaged throughout and had me enjoying the chemistry and the mystery. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all romantic suspense lovers.

I received the book from the publishers via Netgalley and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

Murder Under the Mistletoe is by Terri Reed.
Heather Larson-Randall has returned to her family’s Christmas tree farm in the wake of her brother’s death. She doesn’t understand why no one will believe her that he did not shoot himself up with cocaine. He had a fear of needles and would never use one. Since her parents had been killed in a car accident and her husband killed in Afghanistan, Heather had returned to the family farm with her son Colin. This is all they have left and she intends to make a go of the farm. However, someone is warning her to leave.
DEA Agent Tyler Griffin has come to the Christmas tree farm to try to stop a drug cartel that is using the trees to smuggle drugs over the Canadian Border. Did Heather know anything or was she completely in the dark as Seth insisted? He knows if he finds the notebook that Seth was keeping that he will be able to break the case. However, Heather has no idea where it is. As they look for the notebook, things begin to heat up. Can Tyler keep Heather and Colin safe while still solving his case and keeping their farm going?
It is a great book and has some twists you never see coming
