Okay let me just state that I had a feeling going in this this book was about to be one hot ass mess... and it was exactly that... now let me explain.
Codie... is about a dumb as a box of rocks literally. Now I have heard the whole "He is planning on leaving his wife" crap but everyone is the entire world knows that is a huge bunch of crap. BUT that isn't the part that annoyed the crap out of me. It's the fact that even after all the crap he put her through.. two years and no contact later.... he shows up out of the blue all "I love you blah blah" and she FALLS FOR IT! WHAT IN THE HIGH HELL.
I literally almost added this to my DNF list because I can't take the dumbness. and his reason for doing everything that he was going.. was completely dumb... You are a freaking billionaire even if the terms are alittle off.. your wife is a amazing per the book and yet you are out having affairs like a lame.
So this book pissed me off and annoyed the hell out of me.. the level of dumb made me even more frustrated, I am more pissed at myself for not stopping when I knew that I should have just added it to the DNF list.
The only saving grace was the fact that she started to gather brain cells around 87% but even by then I was over it.
Signing off.. I just can't do the whole "Ignorance is bliss" character.

It wasn't a bad read and it kept me interested. I loved that Hugo was a country boy but I felt he should of left the first time when Codie chose Scott. Was she worth so much drama AND he wasn't getting sex anyways!! She didn't even hear him out with his situation. Codie deserved everything bad she got with Scott. If Alba wasn't there I believed she would of stayed in that positon. Madeliene was a great character and I loved how she handled the situation of Scott's cheating instead of blaming the mistress. I wish in the end we could of saw how much Scott suffered and is it really that easy for Hugo and Codie in the end to have a happy ending or will Scott seek revenge? I dont think it will be because his character is persistant and he felt some kind of entitlement to Codie. There should be a part two.

Engaging
It's different from the usual billionaire meets poor black girl and makes all of her dreams come true with diamonds and pearls all wrapped in a pretty how and undeniable love everlasting. Not so with this ...turns this billionaire is a giant asshat with a sweet wife whose wealthy and oblivious...maybe,maybe not...the baby mama went in with eyes wide open and she knew she was being strung along..luckily there's a knight in shining armour who is not rich and is there to rescue the damsel in distress.

This book touch a nerve this billionaire was horrible it the the classic dog in a manger I don't really want you but no one else can. To try and control a person with the hope of a better life was terrible. I did enjoy the book I just wished Shanice was a little stronger

I really enjoyed reading this book. I just didn't like the ending, I wanted to see Scott suffer for being such an evil man. Great job!
