Oh Dear: not only is the writing difficult to read but the story was weird. Going along quite nicely for first third then sudden swing and it was really a different book. And I didn’t really get it.

Thought provoking
I'm not sure what to say about this book, it's very different in the way it's written, initially it's about a tragic circumstance of a mother's accident and an ex wife being named as a child's guardian, one that she has never met and is being looked after by her nanny. A 30 day deal is agreed to by a work driven woman as she explores her options and thoughts, growing to bond with both the child and Tess her nanny, we read their inner thoughts and decisions, as they bond as a family, it's beautifully written and emotional as they explore things with a beautiful baby, sad and funny a sweet read.

I have concerns
I really like this storyline, and got sucked into enough to read about 85% of the book. But I really struggled with the writing style and could not finish the book. I felt like I wasn’t really getting to know the characters or how they truly felt about anything. It seemingly went from zero attraction to sex. Additionally, there were no meaningful side characters or family members to give the MCs more depth. Lastly, the writing style used very repetitive phrasing that very much reminds me of Aurora North… If that doesn’t bother you, then you might enjoy it because, as I said, the storyline itself is pulls you in.

when the unexpected happens..
Wow! Not sure I can find the words for this book. It’s heartbreaking, full of drama not the kind you’re probably thinking.
Meredith and Astrid have a child Olive and Astrid decides she can’t do the parent thing. They divorce then unfortunately less than thirteen months later Meredith is killed in an accident. She names her ex as guardian. Yep, same woman who decided she couldn’t be a parent. The nanny Tess isn’t giving Astrid a pass and the story is wonderful.

Good book
The Tess the nanny has been taking care of Olive the baby for nine months but when her mama passes she takes care of Olive tell the will is read. Astrid the ex wife just wants to give Tess money to raise the baby and be done with all of it because she's never seen or been around the baby but Tess fights for Astrid to stay and help raise Olive for 30 days. This story take you through how things works in a household but them falling in love was not in the plan

What an unusual and wonderful book!
I read Lesbian novels like they are M&Ms, by the handfuls. This one was different from any i had ever read. And that's a wonderful surprise. The why is an unusual writing style, great character development, (often in a Lesbian novel I forget which name goes with which character but not with Olive, Tess and Astrid), and a worthy plot. Let the record read, this is a stellar book. Now, I think I'll re-read it.

Very lovely the drama the way u showed how not communicating and assuming doesn’t do any good. This was heartwarming it had me hook barely wanted to put it down. The way they fell in love was sweet and predictable but the assumptions on both ends was unexpected. The sex was basic but intimate in all the right ways. I hope they remain together and what happened if the kid goes to college or something I would want to know more about all of them.

Different
I enjoy a book with a good storyline. This one had it. I also prefer a book to entertain me WITHOUT total in depth concentration. This one didn't have that. I struggled to complete this book, often just skimming over it to actually get to completion. I've read books by this author before & enjoyed them. Not a fan of the way this was written.

another one I couldn’t put down
I enjoyed this one very much. Two strong women who come together and get their HEA. On a personal note I once lived on Perry St in NYC so it was special for me there too. If you haven’t read Morgan Chase do so. You won’t be disappointed

3.5 ⭐️ for me. The book itself is written metaphorically and is literary in nature. Its very different and unique. Im all for a slow burn and some angst, but this missed the mark for me. Something was missing. I really enjoyed the Chef though!

Unusually Delightful
What a great read. Took me awhile to understand the verbiage but really liked how it was composed. Great characters.

Very emotional book, this could happen to anyone in everyday life. Beautifully handled with the right amount of emotion and self doubt. Thank God for the right outcome. Lovely read
