Rich and powerful vampires Oliver and Elijah have spent three centuries envying human families, resigned to the belief that they will never have a boy to love as their own. Their lives change during a severe storm when Luca, nervous and stranded after running out of gas, knocks on the door of their imposing Victorian home seeking help. Instead of just shelter, Luca finds two heartbreakingly gorgeous men who offer him warmth, safety, and the chance at a family none of them ever expected to find.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable short story. The development of their relationship and the Daddy/Little dynamic felt fairly instalove, with Oliver, Elijah, and Luca falling for each other very quickly, but it made for a wonderfully cosy read. I loved the sweet Halloween focus, from carving pumpkins together to handing out candy to the local children. While there were some good attempts at exploring the emotions and feelings of all three men, the short length meant those deeper feelings couldn't be unpacked entirely—they definitely could have been covered in far more detail had this been a full-length novel. Still, it was a lovely, heartwarming paranormal romance that was perfect for a quick seasonal read. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
