I was absolutely glued to this book as soon as I started reading it. It chronicles the experience and struggles of a woman who was dedicated to her faith and to God as she lived with her husband who was an unbeliever. Specifically, Mindy was a Seventh-day Adventist; as you read, you see how her faith grows and what she sacrifices and how committed she was about staying true to her religion. This book follows her throughout her entire life and we see her offspring and the different paths they chose. This is not necessarily a feel good book. But its simplicity is comforting and I wanted to know more and hoped along with Mindy that her family would come to have a personal relationship with God.

June strong has become my favourite writer, the illustrations of life through the book was something I marvelled at. The pain and agony that Mindy faced through her life in this book physically and spiritually rlly touches someone deep. Perfectly depicting the heartache that brings in a marriage when two ppl aren't equally yoked, loneliness and longing on both sides.

Beautifully written book. Made me cry a few times. Spare but full of so much real life and made me think. I wanted so badly to reach into the story and change how things were between Mindy and her husband, but so true to real life relationships. This is the kind of old fashioned book that I love.

I loved this book. The struggles of a child of God, unequally yoked with a non-believer. The struggles she endured are very real, very realistic. Yet another excellent story from June Strong.
