too silent.
I really like this series but this book was very different. I think she was trying something novel. The question of “what would happen if a girl was moved through time as a child before meeting her love?” I appreciate the novelty but the story lacked dimension. I could create an outline for the book and it would be lots of time before they met. They meet. 7 days later. The end. There was no slow burn explaining why it took until the last 2 chapters to express any desire. The ending was really abrupt because the story felt like it was only 1/3 through. Conversations they never had. Unresolved connections to the other books. I was sadly disappointed after really loving her other books. The series had taken a slow slide downhill.

Exceptional
It’s a slow build that does an amazing job of capturing solitude. Beautifully written and detailed without bogging it down. It’s not a traditional romance story, but somehow better for that. It’s not a HEA wrapped up in a pretty bow, but it’s a story of love and perseverance and what it means to continue when life is hard and the author still delivers a beautiful love story with a happy ending.

Different but Great!
Just when I think Rebecca can’t come up with a different way to tell a time-travel story, she does it again. This was an unexpected journey and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. As usual the way Rebecca writes, always puts me right in the story as a witness to what I’m reading. Looking forward to the next one and have already pre-ordered it :D

My Favorite of the Series so far
I really enjoyed this story! I loved the relationship Avery had with the man that found her and the way the mmc was observant enough to understand the actions of the fmc. The fmc is smart and self sufficient which meant there were not any “damsel in distress” moments.

Buried in the woods, so to speak
I really enjoyed reading about Avery's life in the woods and how she came to be there with 'the man'. Great description of surviving in alien territory and her coping mechanisms. Thank goodness she finally receives love.

Loved the book, the story of Morggán and Avery. A great storyline and characters. Think I cried three quarters of the book, felt so sorry for the life Avery had lead in the past. Have enjoyed this series and look forward to the next book.

I have read every book & liked all the previous ones. Imo this one was slow & not very interesting. How would you live with someone for 5 years & never ask their name! It was just unrealistic. They finally said Cora wanted to meet her but the story ended before it happened.

I started this book at 7pm and couldn't put down. A moving story. I cried and laughed. truly one of the best books I've read in a long time. I highly recommend it.

One of my faves from the series
First off, I love this series. The premises have been so interesting and I get absorbed every time. Second, this one has to be one of my favorites from the series because of how young FMC was transported in time and surviving in the wilderness with little communication or human contact for so long. I absolutely loved the story and could not put it down. Overall, engaging and entertaining love story that was touching and had depth of character coping with loneliness and isolation. Enjoyable read that kept me up reading and could not put down!
