Exactly the kind of quick, gripping, twisted read everyone needs. Pulled in right from the start, with a strong storyline and fantastic characters. The question is, who can you trust and who is telling the truth!?
I don't know how he does it. Packs all the mouth dropping moments in a few pages but he does it. My jaw hit the floor a few times and i gasped at the ending. If you haven't checked any of his books out definitely do.
This book is exactly the kind of quick, twisty family drama that pulls you in and makes you question everyone’s motives. It’s filled with secrets, betrayal, manipulation, and the kind of toxic family dynamics that keep the pages turning.
What I enjoyed most was the constant feeling that something wasn’t quite right. The characters are complicated, flawed, and not always easy to like, which made the story more intriguing because you’re constantly trying to figure out who is telling the truth. It’s not a lighthearted read, it’s messy, dark, and full of drama, however if you enjoy psychological thrillers with family secrets and shocking reveals, this one delivers.
A quick read that packs a lot of twists into a small package!
I love a thriller that immediately raises the stakes, and this one delivered exactly that. A private investigator forced to solve a case where someone close to him becomes the prime suspect is a premise that instantly grabbed my attention. The combination of a suspicious death, tangled lies, dangerous twists, and long-buried family secrets served plenty of suspense and emotional conflict. I really enjoyed this one.
3 for 3!! I've always loved Spencer as an author, so when I found out he was writing a few stories with his dad, I was instantly curious. And as suspected, they completely knocked ot out of the park. This story made me laugh, made me a little sad and made me scream sometimes. Definitely worth the read!
I couldn’t keep my head on straight while reading this Novella! My head was spinning, every which way up, down, and sideways. I almost needed to make a diagram just so I could keep track of who was who and what was going on. I’m glad in the end we finally had the story straight. And don’t even get me started about the epilogue it seemed on point to me.
