A BBW in search of adventure + a dragon shifter in search of a mate + a mishap on a mountainside = one sparkling and sexy story!
Curvy Cara Linley left her boring life in Iowa in search of adventure, but she only found loneliness in new and different places. She thinks there's no fairy tales left for a girl like her-- until she gets stranded on a mountainside, and a gorgeous hero comes to her rescue.
Billionaire dragon shifter Gus Gray has all the treasure a dragon could desire, but even his hoard of glittering gold has lost its shine, with no mate to share it with. Can an ordinary princess and a lonely dragon find their happily ever after?
The Billionaire Dragon Shifter's Mate is a standalone dragon shifter romance. No cliffhangers!
Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
It was nice, I guess (?). Considering what you can do with 10 pages.
The H was charming and considerate and wanted to give her time and space instead of just claiming her to hell with her feelings. She didn't take the time or space though. The heroine I wan't convinced about.
It's me, not you... For paranormal romances where there are mates I need them (at least the shifters) to be virgins. It's Alexa Riley's fault for the Fairytale shifter series where the wolves couldn't get it up until they found their mate. Now, I'm not saying the H was a manwhore or anything, actually there is no mention of any kind of past relationship but I would have liked at least half a line of clarification.
Love triangle? Cheating? HEA? Any Descriptive Sex w/OW/OM/Ex? Would I read more by this author/or in this series? YES. Rating: 4 stars
Review
This story is really short but perfect for a quick romantic read with almost no angst and drama. I loved both main characters and also the plot, great world building. I definitely recommend.
This is a quick read about a lonely human Cara and A Dragon Shifter Gus. After a large dog scares her Cara falls over a railing and slides down onto an embankment. Gus saves her. They fall fast and hard. Just wished there was an Epilogue.
I was hopeful when I bought this book on a whim, and I wasn't disappointed. Short, sweet and no unexplained bad guy's. Gus is HOT AND CARING. The story is fun from beginning to the end. Now I hope Zoe Chant will write about the brothers. Anyone who loves a good paranormal love story definitely needs to read it.
For such a short book I didn't feel like I was missing anything. Didn't feel rushed either. I am hoping there will be more in this series. Plenty of brothers to write about!

Heather's Notes I liked this story, but it felt a lot longer than it was. That may have been because I didn't have a lot of time to read so it took me longer to read than normal. I will probably read more of this in the future, but not right away.
Gus & Cara: He was alone now with all his brothers moved away, so there wasn't nothing really for him to except talk to his little brother who stay there in his other form. She was bored with her life so she went on and wanted to go on an adventure to see if she could find a place that felt like home. The characters will have you going in twists and turns through out their journey to find their mate.
A lovely short and cute little dragon story which I enjoyed. Liked Cara and Gus and will probably read about the other brothers. Hope Ille gets a book too. Loved mouse, what a great name. I just have one query that is not explained very well when they are talking by the statue of Gus's parents. Does Cara still only live a humans life span? Will make a difference to make.
I love Zoe Chant books but this one did feel a bit more rushed than necessary. The plot was good and I loved Ilie and Mouse. Gus is confident and insecure at the same time, which makes for a couple chuckles. Can't wait for the next one though, which I believe is Ilie's story.
This is the first book of Ms. Chant's that I've read. I was a bit disappointed. The storyline and plot were good, but the follow through not what I hoped for. But, I won't give up, I will try some of her other titles. Her story ideas intrigue me.
Classy, funny in parts, interesting and just a slap dab enjoyable read. Never been disappointed by anything I have read by her. Characters are enjoyable but ready to protect.
Awesome! This was a fast sweet read. Easy to follow, well written and the characters are just as sweet. There is more to the plot then just meeting his mate...Ilie! Can't wait to read the next book. Just beautiful and sweet.
The Billionaire Dragon Shifters Mate (Grays Hollow Dragon Shifters Book 1) by Zoe Chant. Cara, fed up with her dull life, gives up everything and goes in search of adventure. She meets Gus, billionaire and dragon shifter and they are fated mates.
It was ok for what it was! I was actually surprised at how well written it was and can’t help but think it more of this writers talent which she has for this genre went into the book it could have more story to it and be a little longer. So much potential!
This is a quick read with a full story. It’s feels alittle fast, especially the love part. Kinda wanted another 40 pages at least. I will read the next one
I could only give this novella three stars one because it was a novella into it had no real conflict but still it was good it’s just not a four-star read
At first to read this book. The beginning was slow and felt unfocused. It warmed up quickly. Loved the gifting of the chain and the heart of the horde parts the most.
Cara seems to have a pretty lonely life and even given the chance to never be alone again she isn’t willing to just jump right into anything with someone she has just met. And the only heart pounding events happened at the beginning and when she learned that dragons really existed. The sex scenes more like a little pet and tickle like someone was impatient to get to the main event. I always tell my husband that it’s all about the foreplay because if the foreplay is good the sex will be steaming of the page in a great book. The really sad thing is The Billionaire Dragon Shifter's Mate could have gone in any direction and added some interesting dimensions to the story and characters but it went nowhere really and then it just ended.
The Billionaire Dragon Shifter's Mate is not a bad book but it is not a great one either, but at least editing won’t be factored into my rating of this story.

This is a very sweet love story between two shy and lonesome people. Cara was looking at the beautiful scenery when a big dog named Mouse jumped at her so she would play with him. Unfortunately, she slipped part way off the mountain. Gus' brother let him know she needed help. Gus managed to get her back to the safety at the top, and noticed her arm was bleeding. Gus took her to his house the clean her arm and put a bandage on it. They were enjoying each other's company and he offered at our of his house. One thing led to another and they had dinner together. They were drawn to each other and ended up making love. Of course, she stayed the night in his arms. Aww, it gets better and, of course, you'll need to read this wonderful story to find out what happens next. Enjoy!
Cara left her boring life on the search of adventure, when a dog named Mouse spooks her, she gets more than she bargained for! After her fall she is rescued by Gus, the oldest of the Gray brothers, and attraction between the two is instant. Unknown to her shifters exist and he is one. When she finds out he is not only just a shifter, but a dragon shifter will she flee or will she be willing to stick it out and become his mate?
Just like all other Zoe Chant books, I loved this one! It was everything I look for in most shifter romances: love, loyalty, and protection. I can't wait for the rest of this series and more from Zoe Chant!
