Mafia 🤝 Cowboy - it's the cross over we never knew we needed. But Miss Luna Mason fucked around and found out that that's what we liked. And honestly, this combination just works and for that I am forever grateful for Luna for delivering because this series has me in a chokehold. I'm full sat. And dare I say this is my new favorite Luna Mason book.

Y'all the way that I love Gianna. I wanna be her when I grow up. And I stand ten toes down on my comment that she IS my favorite Luna FMC and she will be hard to be topped for me. There was just something about her feisty, strong, independent, I take no shit from no man nature that I vibed with. But Gianna is such a multi faceted character. On the outside you see this woman who is trying to take over head of her family but she's also someone who is flawed and has been beaten down. And naturally it takes her cowboy that she forced to marry her to break down her walls. UGH I just loved them so freaking much.

Colt and Gianna were everything. I loved their banter so much. They made me laugh throughout this whole book. Not to mention the little pranks that Gianna played on Colt, specifically the prank with Viagra, IYKYK 👀 It was fictional gold! The plot was superb. I was sucked in from the moment I picked up the book til the bitter end. The added elements of suspense and when the plot twist was going to come had me fully invested.

Now the spice? Have you read Luna before? Then you know what to suspect. It was delicious as always. So many scenes will live rent fuckcing free. Not to mention, the fantasies that Giana has... let's put it this way, Colt allows her to live out every fantasy she has, including one that is a MMF scene. Holy moly cannoli was that hot!

If you couldn't tell. I straight up DEVOURED this book! Didn't leave a single freaking crumb! I can't wait for the next book, which I know will eat!

Good GOD. These two were toxic AF in the best possible way. Gianna is an absolute menace, and I am IN LOVE.

Obviously, we knew a happily ever after was coming, but I had zero preconceived notions about how the hell we were going to get there. And this story delivered on every level. Action, danger, will-they-won’t-they tension, blood, violence, and spice, spice, MORE SPICE. These two brought the chaos, and I was absolutely here for it.

I loved their story, and with each new couple, I’m falling harder for this series. Bring on the next one!

Unchained by Luna Mason

This book had me feeling EVERYTHING. The angst, the heartbreak, the healing, the chemistry, and the kind of love that makes two people question everything they thought they knew about themselves.

Gianna Milano is a woman who was raised to be powerful, ruthless, and untouchable. She was taught that love is a weakness, that loyalty comes with a price, and that survival means keeping your heart locked away. Beneath that fierce exterior is a woman who has been hurt in ways she should never have had to endure. Watching her navigate the life she was raised for while slowly discovering the woman she actually wants to be was one of my favorite parts of this story.

And then there’s Colten Sterling. The grumpy cowboy who never planned on falling for the mafia princess he was forced to marry. He’s protective, stubborn, and absolutely determined to see the woman behind the reputation. What I loved most about him was that he didn’t expect Gianna to become someone else to deserve his love. He challenged her, stood beside her, and gave her room to discover that she could be strong without having to be heartless. Their relationship was such a delicious combination of tension, banter, possessiveness, and genuine emotional connection.

The arranged marriage and forced proximity were EVERYTHING. Two people entering a marriage with their own agendas, both convinced they know exactly what the other person represents, only to find themselves falling for the one person they probably shouldn’t trust. The push and pull between them kept me invested, but it was the quieter moments that really got me. The moments when the walls came down, when the pain underneath the anger surfaced, and when love became something more than desire or obligation.

What really got me emotionally was Gianna’s grief over Max. Her pain felt raw, especially when she had to confront the reality that revenge couldn’t bring him back. That realization that getting justice doesn’t automatically heal you, and that sometimes the person you lost leaves a space in your heart that you don’t know how to live with, hit hard. Colten’s response to her pain was one of those moments that showed me just how much their relationship had grown. He didn’t pretend he could fix her grief. He reminded her that she was allowed to feel it. For a woman who had been taught to bury every vulnerable part of herself, that kind of love meant something.

And let’s talk about the chemistry because Luna Mason did not come to play. The tension, the filthy banter, the possessiveness, and the spice were on another level. Gianna and Colten have that kind of dynamic where they can challenge each other one second and have you kicking your feet the next. Their relationship never felt like it was only about physical attraction; there was an emotional intensity underneath it that made their intimate moments even more satisfying.

I also loved the contrast between the brutal world Gianna came from and the life she begins building with Colten. She’s a woman who has spent so much of her life fighting for power, believing that becoming untouchable is the only way to survive. But through him, she starts to realize that choosing happiness doesn’t make her weak, and allowing someone to love her doesn’t mean surrendering who she is. She can be ruthless and vulnerable. She can be a queen and still want to be cared for. She can hold on to her strength without letting her past dictate the rest of her life.

That is what made their romance so satisfying for me. Colten doesn’t erase Gianna’s darkness, and Gianna doesn’t have to give up her ambition to love him. They become partners, choosing each other while facing the chaos surrounding them. Their love feels like a place where both of them can finally breathe.

Unchained is more than a mafia romance mixed with a grumpy cowboy and an arranged marriage. It’s a story about grief, survival, family, betrayal, and learning that your past doesn’t have to determine your future. It’s about finding someone who sees the scars you hide and doesn’t ask you to pretend they aren’t there.

I went into this expecting a possessive cowboy, a dangerous mafia princess, and plenty of spice. I got all of that, but I also got a love story about letting yourself feel again after spending your entire life being taught that feelings make you vulnerable.

Gianna and Colten reminded me that sometimes the strongest thing you can do is let someone see the parts of you that you’ve spent years trying to protect.

A dangerous mafia princess. A grumpy cowboy. A marriage neither of them expected to become something real. And a love that proves being vulnerable doesn’t mean being weak.

I loved the fire between these two, but I loved watching them find something worth fighting for even more.

Well, this was disappointing.

Colten Sterling is great. All of the Sterling brothers and their male cousins are. He's a cowboy who is part of the mafia ... he's playful and funny. I have no problem with his character. It's Gianna who made me want to rip my own hair out.

She's meant to be a powerful mafia princess, but honestly, her character is so annoying. In this book, she's always saying how dangerous she is ... she's good with knives and guns. Great.

This book had so much potential, but the story is thrown at you instead of letting the reader be a part of it. The author is good at what she does, so it makes me puzzled as to why this series is falling so damn flat. The first book was good, but these last two, not so much.

(⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5) GIANNA! I want to be her, be with her, be her best friend. I don’t care as long as we’re in proximity. I’m obsessed. She’s a badass fmc. Colton & Gianna’s chemistry was top tier and I loved seeing her emotionally open up as the story went on knowing that Colt was her safe place.

I did enjoy the first two books in this series much better though. This one dragged somewhat in plot and I didn’t feel as engaged. Like the others, there was so much happening for it to be a few weeks. It would’ve made perfect sense that it dragged out through a longer timeline. I like both Gianna & Colt but it was definitely missing things that ultimately made it fall flat for me in execution. I still enjoyed the characters & the sneak peeks into Violet & Jett…& Tate!?

Story 2 ⭐ | Spice 3 🌶️

This series had so much potential to be an explosive, tension-filled romance.

I've read Luna Mason at her best. I know what she's capable of. She knows how to drag a reader through half a book of growing tension and agony for a meaningful payoff. That's not this series. That Luna Mason magic is gone. Her ideas are great but the execution flopped massively.

This series is clearly not written in the same prose and narrative style as the first 3 Beneath series.

The prose reads like an AI-generated expansion of character profiles and plot outlines, with very little human refinement afterward.

Compare this to Inferno, where Charlotte and Declan's personalities, histories, and motivations were gradually revealed through their encounters, betrayals, and decisions. The reader discovered who these people were as the story unfolded.

Ignite also demonstrated Mason's ability to create compelling characters and sustain anticipation and dread, even if the eventual resolution was disappointing.

In her recent work (2026), the basic ingredients of a compelling novel are still there, but the scenes seem assembled from instructions rather than developed through storytelling. There are some improvements over the previous books in this series, such as reduced repetition, which makes me wonder whether more time was spent editing this one. Unfortunately, the underlying problems like repetition and over explanation remain.

The most frustrating part is that I'm genuinely interested in this story. I want to know what happens to these characters. But the writing makes getting there a miserable chore and I'm struggling finding motivation to finish the book. The story pulls me in, while the execution pushes me away. Reading a Luna Mason novel used to be something I couldn't put down.

In Unchained, the author rushes through the marriage and sex scenes before developing the relationship. That choice squandered all the anticipation built in the previous book and early chapters of this book.

There's no finesse or subtlety to the story exposition. The characters' thoughts, dialogue, and actions contradict each other constantly. Their motivations change whenever the plot needs them to, and nothing feels earned. Example: Colton's reaction after their first time having sex makes zero sense and fights against the situation.

Gianna is supposed to be a ruthless mafia woman plotting to destroy the Sterling family, but all she does is tell us how dangerous she is. Why is this supposedly formidable woman a virgin while Colten has slept his way through half the population and talked about sleeping with other women on his wedding night? This was the most confusing and destabilizing wedding scene I've ever read. Nothing made sense. The virginity reveal and his ridiculous reaction to it were especially disappointing. Why the hell is she a virgin anyway? Her character absolutely would have had sex in high school and been on birth control and stashed a box of toys.

The first sex scene has no emotional payoff (not to mention the poor writing execution). The author didn't build chemistry. These two could have spent dozens of chapters fighting their attraction, fighting each other, navigating family betrayals, and being forced into increasingly intimate situations. Instead, everything happens immediately, and the tension evaporates.

The book keeps telling the reader what to think and feel instead of letting the reader feel anything through the characters. The end result is narrative whiplash.

I knew within the first 20% that this was going to be my favorite book in the series so far, and the rest of the book only solidified that feeling. Gianna and Coleton completely stole my heart, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect pairing.

Gianna was such an exceptional character. There were so many layers to her, and I loved getting those glimpses into her insecurities through her inner monologue. On the outside, she was strong, fierce, and more than capable of holding her own, but underneath all that was a woman who had been broken down by years of her father's emotional, psychological, and physical abuse. What he put her through was absolutely vile, and seeing her cower in front of him was genuinely heartbreaking. I wanted to wrap her up in a hug and remind her that she deserved so much better. What made her even more incredible was that, despite everything, she knew almost immediately that she had no intention of destroying the Sterlings. There was so much more to Gianna than the woman everyone thought they knew, and I loved every bit of getting to see it.

And then there was Coleton, who was exactly what she needed. He knew how to handle his spicy Italian queen, but what I loved most was that he never expected her to be strong every second of every day. He gave her someone to lean on, someone who could bring out her softer side without making her feel weak for having one. I loved watching Gianna embrace that side of herself, especially after spending so many years being made to feel small. She could be fierce and formidable one minute and let herself fall apart the next, and Coleton made room for both. These two really were the perfect team, and I loved seeing them find that balance together.

Of course, the two of them together were absolute 🔥. The tension, the spice, the way they fit together so perfectly... I was ALL IN. But it wasn't just the heat that made them work for me. It was the way Coleton saw Gianna beneath all her defenses and gave her the kind of love that allowed her to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. They couldn't have been more perfect for each other if they tried.

And the romance wasn't the only thing keeping me hooked. The plot had me invested with all the action and suspense, giving the story plenty of intensity beyond the relationship. There was so much happening, but Gianna and Coleton remained the heart of it all for me.

Unchained has officially taken the top spot in the series for me, and I have absolutely no complaints about that. Gianna deserved someone like Coleton, Coleton found his perfect match in Gianna, and I loved every second of watching these two find their way to each other. If the rest of the series has been building to this, consider me completely sold. These two have my whole heart. ❤️

Gia and Colton were fire. Two complete opposites, but both fierce for what they stood for. I was obsessed with this mafia/cowboy story. This brought the heat, intensity, some serious push and pull between these two. This was a devour worthy story. I loved the way she found love. She found something in life that wasn’t a part of her being raised. These two connected in such an awesome way. Seriously sweet and steamy.

Another Luna book that I absolutely devoured. I threw all adult responsibilities out the window and finished this is one day.

I loved Colt so much. He really just wanted to give Gianna everything possible. It took some time but I loved watching how persistent he was with showing up how she needed.

Their banter had me cracking up and their little prank wars had me in tears. But really what was amazing was their connection. They were both extremely guarded, so to watch them both open up, be vulnerable and fall head over heels in love was truly an incredible thing.

For me the one who stole the show the entire book was Gianna. She really grew so much as a character. It was honestly really beautiful to see her grow as much as she did from beginning to end.

After seeing how Gianna reacted the everything that went down in the last book with Harper, I just knew there was so much more under her tough, cold hearted exterior.

Gianna has so many layers to her. While she is tough she is also so much more. She had to be tough to survive, not only was she was forced to be by her father, which deserved to suffer more in my opinion, but also by her upbringing in the mafia.

I loved to see so many characters from other books/series. Luna just knows how to intertwine all of her series together where we never have to truly say goodbye to the characters we love.

I would LOOOOOVE to get more on Tate and I would love a book on Dom and Romeo, please please pleaaaaaaaase, I am not above begging!!

Ahhh I love Jett so much. He is hilarious and such a fun character and to know we are getting a book on him, makes me so damn happy. And with that ending! OMG, I need it now!!!!!!!

The way I devoured this book might be considered a red flag, but I don’t care! Gianna is literally the definition of boss babe and I love books with a strong FMC. And Colten isn’t afraid to rile her up, only adding flames to the fire. These two are so perfect for each other and I loved the tension between them! And the spicy scenes….holy smokes grab a fan because they will have you sweating! This was everything that I love in a Luna Mason book and it’s always fun seeing some other characters pop up!

Colten and Gianna just took me on a ride that I never wanted to get off of! Heck their banter alone was enough to have me completely hooked, but then you throw in the pranks, the spice, the spice.....yes, I know I said that twice and it was definitely on purpose, and the emotional upheaval that I wasn't expecting to feel, and I seriously had trouble putting this story down. The way these two truly came together and built a connection they way they did was utterly perfect and I couldn't get enough!

My girl Luna Mason HAS DONE IT YET AGAIN!!!! Unchained…….I fell so hard in love with Gianna and Colten. My heart melted, I mean melted for these two. I was so obsessed with everything Gianna and Colten that I did not want to put this book down. I really could not wait for Colten’s story, from book one and I was NOT disappointed in any way. First things first Gianna freaking Milano, I don’t think I have ever been so turned on by a FMC! She is a badass mafia princess who is ready to take over her father’s empire. She is fierce, she is sassy, confident, she is stronger than any and all the mafia guys put together, she is and I will say it again BADASS, she walks into the room, any room with her head held high like she owns it and she does! Beneath that hilarious, sassy mouth mafia princess she has such a painful past and that is why she keeps her walls up so high. The things she had to endure would make grown men cry and she prevailed through all of it and still kept her chin held high. She loves fiercely and is so incredibly loyal to the ones she loves. I want to be Gianna Milano when I grow up!

Colten Sterling, my heart! I knew I was going to fall so hard for this man when we were introduced to him in book one Untamed. Hunter Sterling (book 1 Untamed) is all serious and brooding, Ace Sterling (book 2 Unleashed) is the hopeless romantic who believes in rainbows and butterflies and than we have COLTEN STERLING who is just pure raw cowboy, he is romantic with a darker side, loyal, loves just as fiercely as Gianna and for being morally grey he has a heart of gold. The way this man melts for Gianna, melted my heart. Colten would do anything to make sure his family was safe and away from harm. Once Colten learns just how bad Gianna’s past was growing up he is determined to be her safe place, this man stands beside her and helps her claim her throne. He he would burn the world down for her with everyone who hurt her but he knows that is something that she needs to do so what is the next best thing he can do…..stand beside her and help her light that match.

The chemistry and spice between these two…..O.M.G hot does not even begin to describe it.I love their dynamic, they are fun and playful and sexy as hell. The banter between these two is EVERYTHING, there were parts of this book I was dying because of their witty exchanges to one another. The prank Gianna played on Colt in Greece was everything and all he could do was laugh and realize that this arranged marriage is more than that, that he actually loves his wife and has fallen so hard for her. For the both of them being morally grey mafia power couple, they had such tender moments and the way Gianna let her walls come down for Colt made me love her even more. The way she cried and she let him see her cry, she let him see this vulnerable side to her that no one has ever seen not even her brother Dom who she loves more than life. Those little moments that both her and Colt had where it was just the two of them and their emotions were raw and real is what I LOVED the most.

And of course some of our favorite characters were all back and our favorite goat Gary even made a few appearances and we also added a lovable sheep Sally who Gianna bonded with, who is broken and is trying to heal just like her. The way that Colten’s family took Gianna in as one of their own, her friendship with Harper and the way Gianna would do anything to protect her new found family…there was just so much love in this book. ANDDDD that epilogue…..I CANNOT wait for Jett and Violet’s book. This series just continues to get better and better, Luna Mason truly knows how to write pure gold. HOT DAMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN SON! Unchained was HOT! 🔥🔥

And I thought the other two were, but Unchained and all the deliciousness that came from this book, I didn’t think it could get any better. But of course, Luna was like, ‘here, hold my beer, and my lipstick, and this glock. I got you, and I’ll raise you, one MF Unchained story.” MICDROP. Because, that is indeed what Luna did with this story.

GIANNA AND COLTEN! LUNA FREAKIN MASON! You have no right delivering us with this masterpiece that you did. 🙌🏻👏🏻

Best part is, they are so freakin perfect! Individually, together. Their banter…CHEF freakin KSS! MUAH! 🤌🏻😘 They were so unhinged, but in the best possible way. I ate it all the way up! Yeah I did. The sass coming from Gianna, I was here for it. But more than her sass, her sassy attitude and how she gave it to Colten and didn’t care less about the consequences. How the both of them gave it right back to each other, ten fold, had me absolutely in a chokehold. My gawd! Have I mentioned these two?! I was here for it all and beyond loving every. single. second. of. it. 👏🏻👏🏻

Gianna is that BADASS BOSS BITCH you want, but don’t want to mess with. She is the MF QUEEN, the mafia queen. Your Honor, I love her! New FMC crush unlocked! HELLO! She is a spitfire, who doesn’t hold back, and I’m just over here wondering how I can be even a tenth like her.

Now Colten, mmmm a tatted up, bedazzled, hot AF cowboy by day, who seconds in the mafia world at night and lives to push every one of Gianna buttons. What I loved was, while we did get Colten in books 1&2, we didn’t get enough to gauge who he really was, so I was excited to finally meet this mystery man, and man did I meet. Oof! 🫠😮‍💨

These two together were fire, hot AF and absolutely hilarious. The fact that I could be laughing and then sweating in the same moment is beyond me. They were utter chaos and I was here for it. But not only that, they were a power duo, a powerhouse couple you didn’t want to mess with. Colten knew that Gianna didn't need to be coddled, or hide her away. He let her thrive and do what she did best, fight back and run a mafia business. Because she absolutely could do anything she set her mind to. But also watching him be possessive and protective of her, had me swooning so hard.

They way Luna wasn’t messing around with their story, she absolutely dominated between the pages.

I’m still absolutely beside myself all this time later. Can’t freakin wait for the audio to relive all of their story over again and again.

I absolutely loved Gianna And Colten. Both perfect for each other. Like a perfect puzzle piece. They just understood each other. I couldn't get enough of them. And now I'm sad it's over.

Gianna! Girl is a baddie and a new favorite FMC of mine. And now I officially can say I have a new FMC crush and it's Gianna.

Colten and his mouth 🥵😮‍💨 man is hot as sin. And so down bad for his wife.

So many scenes that will live rent free.

I don't know what else to say other than just read it.

This book was just what I needed. Luna Mason’s books will put a smile on my face and just make me genuinely happy. Colten and Gianna were utter perfection with their banter and getting under each other’s skin. This forced marriage might have started forced but in the end these two needed each other more than anything.

Gianna is trying to show she can take over LA for her mafia family and creating an alliance with the Sterling’s of Arizona, is her way in. Colten does not want to get married but he definitely wants to sleep with Gianna, as we learned in Unleashed. These two were like forces of nature coming together and building something so powerful, no one was going to be able to stop them.

I wholeheartedly loved this book. From start to finish, I had a smile on my face, laugh a couple of times and swooned at how truly cute (😏) Gianna and Colten were when they finally saw eye to eye. Colten was utter perfection in his help of healing Gianna’s past wounds. This man even gave her props for giving him viagra as a prank because he knew he deserved it. And we love all the, “My Wife”, parts. Chefs kiss to a man who is possessive over his woman having his last name. And Luna truly outdid herself to me by saying that Colt’s favorite place to grab Gianna was her throat and so that honor was only his to do. Gianna was power house in this one and no one was going to hurt Colt or his family in any way, shape or form. We love a powerful woman who only submits to her man. And we love a man who loves a powerful woman. I also enjoyed how much of her softer side we got of Gianna in this book and how much she just got to be herself. These two were HAWT and I expect nothing less from Luna Mason. That first scene of them together, hot damn. And it just gets better and better throughout this book. The club, I was melting.

Luna always writes these books that are just easy reads. I wanna know all the things and I love how we get glimpses of past characters. The found family and even the family itself is always so special in her books. Gianna and Harper’s friendship was especially so beautiful because Gianna was never able to have girlfriends and show her vulnerability with them. With Harper she was able to and Colt too.

This entire series has me in an utter chokehold & this one is my fav so far! Colt & Gianna were the true definition of opposites attract & they found out quickly to not underestimate each other.

Continuing where Unleashed left off, the arranged/agreed-upon marriage between Colt Sterling (cowboy mafia) & Gianna Milano (Italian mafia princess/next in line) takes place. The push and pull, angst, banter, stubbornness between these two was off the charts. Colt, third brother in the Sterling family helps run the ranch & mafia business. He has never really had a relationship outside of “physical intimacy” & he’s not particular about gender…to him it’s just sëx. Until he sits across a table from HER. He is so turned on by her fierceness, her independence, her sassy mouth & the fact she is covered in tattoos, that he agrees quickly to the arrangement. Gianna is next in line to gain control of her families Italian mafia organization & run LA. There are stipulations to this of course..alliances must be made…takeovers must happen…& certain families need to be taken out of the equation. How far will Gianna go to gain her father’s approval or is she just another pawn in his game? And on top of all of this, she is mourning the loss of her brother & is ready for revenge.

You know I’m all about balance with plot, romance, spice, etc. And Luna just continues to give me everything I need with this series. Colt has the best filthy mouth, I was never annoyed with him & his nickname for Gianna was perfection! Gianna was so complex, & even though I loved who she already was, seeing her really figure out who SHE wanted to be instead of what she was trained to be was so rewarding! These two had next level chemistry and they are my fav couple of the series. It did have the trope that I truly don’t like BUT it was during the epilogue. Other than that, zero complaints!

I don’t know how I’m supposed to function after reading Unchained. I am losing my mind over these two and haven’t been able to move on at all. Ever since Gianna cornered Colt into a marriage to save his family, I knew their story would be an explosive battle of wills. But just you wait, Luna absolutely put me through an emotional rollercoaster.

Gianna is that girl. Period. She’s an untouchable mafia princess set on taking over her father’s empire, but beneath her ruthless exterior is a survivor who endured brutal abuse just to earn her throne. Colt is the grumpy, sexy, animal-loving cowboy chained to her from day one. He tried keeping his distance, fearing he’d be the next body in her path, but he was down bad from the start. Gianna had him wrapped around her little finger before he even realised it.

Their dynamic is an intoxicating mix of banter and chemistry. They are just so hot together I can’t get enough of them! Gianna’s prank had me laughing out loud, and when things heat up? Colt is the master of worshipping, giving her spicy lessons and fulfilling her wildest fantasies. That scene (iykyk) is permanently burned into my brain. What wrecked me though was the journey they had to go through to get to their HEA. Watching their love transform and unfold was beautiful.

Colt never tries to tone down her darkness or diminish her ambition to rule LA. Instead, he creates space for her to shine and grieve over Max, proving she can be a mafia queen while still being human. In turn, Gianna learns that letting her walls down and leaning on her soulmate isn’t a weakness but a strength.

The crossover with Enzo, Mikhail and Alexei made the Beneath universe dangerously addictive. The plot is thickening with each book and I can’t wait for the final showdown. I’ll never get tired of seeing the Sterling brothers and their women unite. That ending with Jett and Violet?! I’m on my knees for Unlocked.

Colten and Gia are explosive together! The chemistry, the banter, the push & pull between them had me eating this up. These pages were practically on fire! Colten is definitely a sucker for the pain Gia dishes out, and I was loving that.
Gia Milano is one hell of a woman. A badass ruling among men, and she was written so freaking well! I cannot rave about this woman enough. She's ruthless, fearless, clever, and doesn't back down. And Colten? Yeah, he's not too shabby either. I mean, he's a Sterling brother, so you already know family is everything to him. He loves his family and his ranch and would do whatever it takes to protect both. Add tattoos, a love for control, and a man who enjoys a good fight, and well I am hooked for Team Colten. But the craziness doesn't stop with these two! There is so much going on in this story. I have a feeling certain things are going to come back around, and I cannot wait to see what Luna has up her sleeve!
Hunter and Acey, don't worry. I still love you both! But scootch over a little because your girl has a new man, and his name is COLTEN. Luna has done it again with this book.

This book was sooo good!! I feel as though I say this every time I read a Luna book, but it couldn’t be more true!! She just puts something in them that draws you in from the start every time!! Her cowboy series has been so good, and I swear I get a new favorite with each one that comes out!😜🤣

That being said let me tell you a little bit about Unchained! This is book 3 in Beneath the Reign series, it follows the story of Gianna & Colten! (My new fav couple) Gianna is a mafia heir who makes an alliance of marriage to Colten to try and get an in with Enzo (the big big boss). Along the way she begins to fall in love with life in New Falls on Sterling Ranch (also falling for Colten).
Colten is one of the Sterling brothers, who helps run their empire. From the first time he met G he was obsessed. While they may have been rivals, once he married her that obsession grew and he eventually learned to trust her. And fell for her too!! One thing I love about him is the way he showed up for G no matter what! (even when he said he hated her) He showed her unconditional love and gave her a family that was full of love, which she never had! They are the ultimate power couple!🥰

Sterling Ranch is a place I wish I could visit in real life. Their found family is one of my favorite things!I’ve loved this series so much and I can’t wait for what Luna has in store for us next!🥹🖤🤞🏻

I’m not quite sure why, but book 2 in this series didn’t quite hit the same as book one. As some points it seemed to lull along. It just felt longer than necessary. I think it could have been edited down. That’s my opinion.

The things I did like about the book

Gianna is introduced as heartless and tough in book one. I like the sneak peek we get into her POV. It shows how she’s vulnerable. Some of the pranks were funny. These two had great back and forth. They felt like Bonnie and Clyde running mafia missions together.

Things I wasn’t much a fan of. Colten trying to make her jealous by inviting the strippers from his bachelor party to his wedding reception. He was letting them hang on him in front of her. Arranged or not I didn’t like it. I did like that he cut off his hookup status with Romeo once he was engaged.

Depending on your preferences there is a mmf scene in here. Gianna wants to watch Colten with another man. It’s at a sex club. This was ok. It just felt like it was there to give the book a jaw drop moment. They state it’s a one time thing because Gianna went into the marriage a virgin at 30. She had a fantasy about it.

Overall the book dragged out. Felt a little long. For how callous Gianna was in the last book she cried all the time in this book. I think the author was trying to show that with the right man, even a hardened woman can soften when she feels safe.

I was gobbling it up and giggling like a little kid it was seriously SO GOOD.

The enemies to lovers, forced marriage of it all, really did something for me.

Colten Sterling the man that you are.
SO DOWN BAD FOR HIS WIFE
He literally had me on my knees for him because of how in love with Gianna he was.

Gianna freaking Milano (Sterling)
IF I was into women, it would be her 👀👀
She would have me on my knees begging in seconds
She is a freaking BAD ASS at heart
I loved her from the very beginning and am so glad she has someone like Colt by her side to get her through her past and into her future

This book had me feeling all the feels
One minute I was laughing
Then I was crying
Then I was feeling a type of way (iykyk) 🔥🥵

The dynamic of them was absolutely incredible and delicious you could taste and feel the tension and all the love coming off the pages.

And don’t even get me started on the mmf scene 🔥🔥🥵

Overall, I’m completely obsessed with this series and fear it’s only getting better every time

I knew these two were going to be good but that is not a justified description. They are superb and exceeded all expectations. The thing about Luna Mason is she will give snippets of her books for months leading up to release and once the full context is there with those snippets you see the true gold she never fails to write.

One look at Gianna and Colt was a goner even though he didn't want to be. These two are the epitome of enemies-to-lovers. Both will do whatever they need to for their families even if it means entering into a marriage of convenience. Oh yeah, we all know how those go.

G is a mafia princess, she shows no mercy so why would her treatment of Colt be any different. She is there to accomplish her goals and he was her way in. She cannot fight her attraction to him though and try as she might, she finds herself getting attached to the ranch and all those who are there. It isn't long and her priorities shift and she starts to see things in a new light. Colten brings out the softer side of her she refused to believe was there.

Colten, this man that has been the quiet one up until now sure did surprise me. He is a good mixture of Hunter and Ace but also his own person at the same time. He is willing to let G take the lead in almost every aspect of their life except one. He has no problem standing beside her, he proudly does it. He knows her worth even when she doesn't. Even when she infuriates him he still can find humor in it and loves her with all he has. Just because she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself doesn't mean he will not be there to tear the world apart piece by piece to protect her. They balance each other out well.

It was fun seeing these two fall in love. There is a playful side to both of them that made them stand out more because they have only ever shown their serious sides in previous books. Colt takes G's pranks in stride, for the most part, and isn't afraid to have some fun of his own. Both prove time and again that there are no limits to what they will do for the other!

This was AMAZING, 10/10, no notes.

Gianna is a baddie (probably one of my favorite FMCs ever) & Colten is her perfect match. While they are both so hardheaded and tough, they each bring out such a gentle side of each other that allows them to be open and have a safe place to land. It was heartwarming to see how they learned to take care of each other. Especially with Gianna’s backstory, this book hit deeper emotionally than I ever could have imagined.

Their relationship dynamic was everything I hoped for plus some. The tension and the angst as they were forced to get to know each other, the uncovering of vulnerabilities as their story progressed, the prank wars - I loved it all. In fact, I couldn’t stop laughing because the banter between these two was FIRE.

As always in Luna books, the spice was STEAMY. And oh so good.

This is in my top 5 books of Luna’s now.

I’m OBSESSED!!! With this series, with Luna Mason, with the Sterling Brother’s, and now with Gianna!!

Colt has been a mystery since Untamed and I’m honored to have been able to read his story early!! Gianna is the mafia princess that we met in Acey Baby’s book Unleashed.. the badass who learned she might actually have a heart when she befriends Harper

I loved seeing the two have instant attraction, yet try their best to get under each other’s skin.. a TRUE enemies to lovers!! She literally drugged Colt with Viagra 😂😂😂 I was cracking up at some of their antics

There was so much banter between the two.. he calls her mean and she says ‘use a stronger fucking word, a QUEEN!!!

He calls her his viper and she calls him her little meatball!! 😂

I absolutely loved seeing Gianna’s growth in this! To allow herself to love and to be loved, and to let herself be emotional.. she went through so much with her family! 🥺 and Colt showing her that she can be vulnerable with him! He was so patient with her I was tearing up in some parts.

The cutest part was the way she took to the sheep and adopted her, Preziosa!!

Obviously the smut was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, top tier!!

Gianna and Colten are absolutely everything!! I loved them from the very beginning this was a wild ride but I loved every part of it!! The banter between them amazing and everything you could want between the fmc and the Mmc! I loved getting to watch Gianna’s walls come down and her eyes opening to what she could really have outside of what she was raised to want and need! Like she said her and Colten needed each other and they both ended up letting each other in and turning an arrangement in something beautiful with true feelings! They seen each other in ways no one else could see their story was beautiful and like Luna in true fashion the spice was absolutely TOP TIER!!! The chemistry in and out of the bedroom was all things amazing and epic I have love this series with my whole heart just like the rest of her series and I cannot wait for Jett’s and violets story!!

Hot damn! Let me tell you, Gianna is an absolute queen! I’m kind of obsessed with her. Strong, intelligent, and just a complete bad*ss woman. Her fire mixed with Colten’s bravado made for the best inferno when they finally come together. Ugh!

I love how Gianna grows into the woman she is meant to be, not letting her past and trauma define who she becomes with Colten.

Watching this side of Colten was honestly so delicious. I live for a man who can stand by his woman’s side and rule along side her without hesitation.

So freaking good! But, when isn’t a @authorlunamason book good! I swear she only writes bangers! And for her first dabble into MMF, woof, she delivered! Incredible book and continuation into her #cowboymafia world!

Okay, Luna Mason seriously never disappoints me!! I was hooked on Colten and Gianna from the start! 😍

Gianna was everything I love in a FMC! Strong, stubborn, and not afraid to stand her ground. And Colten?! That grumpy, protective cowboy had me swooning! 😮‍💨🤠

I loved the push and pull between these two! Their chemistry was insane, but it was the moments when they finally started letting their walls down that really got me. I loved seeing their relationship turn into something so much deeper.

The tension, the spice, the drama, and all the emotions had me eating this story up! I honestly didn’t want it to end. Another Luna Mason book that has me wishing these characters were real! 🖤
