I finished this a few days ago and already forget most of it, which isn't a good sign.
A teacher in his 30's separates from his wife because he is impotent and has never consummated the marriage. His member starts working again when he has an encounter with one of his students. This attraction haunts him for much of the rest of the book. He tries having a gay encounter with an adult he meets but that doesn't work either as apparently it doesn't have the "purity" of loving a hairless teenage boy. Eye roll.
The teenage boy has his own sexual secrets though, and that is another rather unrealistic plot development. The idea that a gay man in his 30's is just now waking up to his sexuality seemed unrealistic. Maybe he was just acknowledging it later in life but I can't believe he didn't have any ideas before hand.
The title refers to a Greek style of love that comes to fruition in the end. A quick, throwaway read.
