Was glad the third book wrapped things up for this story. As in the previous books, I do like the author's writing style in general. I definitely became invested in the H/h - good character development. Luckily this book was not long-winded nor unnecessarily over-descriptive and moved along at a good pace (unlike book 2, which felt like a long road to nowhere). There are some twists and turns which were intriguing but the ending is a little lack luster and abrupt. Wish she would have replaced some of the robust 'sexy time' at the end and given effort to an epilogue with more substance and greater detail of what became of their lives.

Full of the most horrid filth and pornography I have ever read

Once you are able to flip through the filth and foul language and the use of the f--- word, there is a decent love story. I don't know that there was anything historical about it; it was just pure horrible torture and filthy sex and literally pornography. It took much flipping and keeping my eyes averted to keep from seeing words and phrases that would make me have night mares. Read at your own risk!!!

The wonderful USA Today bestselling Scottish historical author Eliza Knight has done it again with another well written new series called Highland Wars. This is the third book in this series and it is absolutely riveting! So hold onto your seat for the ride of your life and what a great ride it is! Game on…..the epic battle continues.

Synopsis:

After battling for their lives in the Highland War Games, Ceana MacRae and Macrath Mor were married and named Prince and Princess of Sìtheil. But even after accepting their crowns, they are not out of the woods. Danger lurks at every turn. They’ve vowed to take down the mighty and treacherous council only to unearth an even deadlier secret: The Corridor of the Ancients, where their enemy Lady Beatrice has kept a mysterious prisoner and tortured countless victims.

Four armies have converged upon their castle and it would seem that they not only have to fight the royal council but hordes more. They must prove their worth to their king, thwart the many plots set up against them and see their enemies destroyed.

With their past demons still chasing them and their adversaries stopping at nothing to see them crushed, the final battle for Sìtheil will prove to be a challenge not only for their reign, but also for their love.

Will Ceana and Macrath win the war?
Can their love survive what destiny has in store for them?

My Thoughts:

Another well written and well thought out Eliza Knight book that you won’t be able to put down. Although this is not my favorite series it is well written and the characters are well thought out. Highland Victory is the final installment in this series.

I recommend that you read the entire series starting with Book 1, Highland Hunger. I would give this book and the series 4.5 stars. Make sure you check out Ms. Knight’s other books: The Stolen Brides series, Tales from the Tudor Court series (my personal favorite), Highland Bound series and others as all her books are spectacular fun reads which I highly recommend.
Thank you to Eliza knight for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Medievial Scotland, Western Isles

This story surrounds Ceana MacRae and Macrath Mor who both fought hard and won at the Bloody War Games and now have the current title as Prince and Princess of Sitheil which they are only allowed to keep for five years Now the story continues, as Ceana and Macrath are just married and given only five years to hold on to their tiles which seems unfair for all the sweat blood and tears they had to suffer just to get the title yet it not permanent . Now they want to go after those in charge of the Games, the corrupt council but seems like they seem to have enemies at every corner whether present, past or future!

Seems hopeless yet the future of Scotland, their love as well as well as their very lives are at stake! Can Ceanna and Macrath's love survive this? Can they survive this? You will just have to read this fabulous and captivating book and find out!

Another wonderful Eliza Knight book that you won't be able to put down as I know I couldn't. I highly recommend you read this book it totally dazzled me. Also make sure you check out Ms. Knight's wonderful Stolen Brides series , Tales from the Tudor Court series, Highland Bound series and others as all her books are spectaular fun reads which I highly recommend.

Victors or Death at the Councils Hand?

I have been completely surprised at this story of good and evil at a time in history when men believed in multiple God's for their lives. Such evil that controlled their minds and bodies until a couple that had been wounded and hurt by life and enemies found each other and a love was born that triumphed over all the pain of a lifetime.

Love happily ever after endings!

Of all the stories I have read, none have been so deserving of a happily ever after as Ceana and McGrath! I enjoyed the surprising twists and turns of survival, betrayal and loyalty.
