Wildflowers & Whiskey is book one of the Wildbrook Hollow Series. It is a cowboy romance that is set on a ranch full of secrets, with two cowboys who want the same girl… and they just happen to be father and son. There’s spice, good vibes, and just enough drama to keep you turning the pages.

This book also includes mental‑health representation, and it doesn’t just focus on intimate love. Family bonds, healing, and learning to love yourself are woven through the journeys of all three main characters.

Blurb: Maeve Callaghan has spent years searching for a place to belong. So when she stumbles across an ad for a ranch immersion scheme during a late-night doomscroll, she takes it as a sign.

At Meadow Bell Ranch, everything feels right. The quiet mornings spent with a book. The satisfaction of a hard day's work. The endless stretch of open country. Unfortunately, so does the brooding cowboy who happens to be her boss.

The more time Maeve spends with Wade, the more convinced she becomes that there's more to him than he lets anyone see. It's none of her business. Unfortunately, that has never stopped her before.

Then there's his son—Colt. He is everything his father isn't: open-hearted and sensitive. As he battles struggles of his own, he and Maeve form an unexpected bond built on trust and understanding.

As the bonds between them deepen, Maeve finds herself caring for both men in ways she never anticipated, so when secrets are revealed, Maeve finds herself tangled in a situation far more complicated than she ever imagined. And when the truth finally comes to light, she may have to choose between the people she's come to care about and the only place that has ever truly felt like she belonged.

what a debut.
my girl wrote a book!! not only did she write one, she wrote a bloody good one too.
Wildflowers & Whiskey is a love story to personal growth, it’s deeply emotional, sexy and heart achingly beautiful.

Our FMC Maeve is forever seeking the place that feels like ‘home’ so on a whim she signs up to a ranch experience programme in Texas, so flies from London on her next adventure. What she wasn’t anticipating was finding her home within the ranch.

She finds friendship, comfort and happiness in Colt, the golden boy cowboy who has demons he’s working through.
She then finds Wade, the broody, grumpy ranch owner who is now her boss… and Colts father. Their chemistry is palpable, is undeniable even though they try to deny it. She gets under his skin, tests him and gives him a reason to smile again after so long, and having so much on his shoulders.
A moment for Wade pls … the gc is non stop screaming for Daddy Wade, the mouth on this man. He’s caring, reads her books ;)) and so very thoughtful.

The found family, and our 3 POVs have my whole heart, they’re flawed, complex and human. This was such a joy to read i could not put this down.

~

“Stop calling me Mr. Carter.” His voice is laced with a gruffness that does absolutely nothing good for my composure. “We both know that wasn't the name you were using for me last night.”
~

“So, you think I am dangerous?” I shift my expression into what I hope reads as pure innocence. “Little old me?” “More than you realise, angel.”
~

It’s killing me knowing you’re here on my ranch, in my house, drinking my coffee, and yet you’re not mine.”
~

“Open your eyes and look at me while I take you, angel.”
“You belong to me now, angel.”
“And I'm gonna make sure you never forget it.”
~

There’s soooo many more highlights i will never stop yapping and recommending this book <3

Tink, my love. I’m so so proud of you

This was a be true to yourself, make mistakes and LIVE book. Be kind to yourself, communicate and fuck around with single dads who truly are the kindest souls at heart,

Maeve is so relatable through her emotions, her out bursts, her light up the room personality and you can’t help but love her. Damn I think if I was on the ranch I’d want to jump her bones too.

Colt is the golden retriever with issues that he struggles with every day but it doesn’t make him any less of a loveable rogue. I loved how T.Nolan included BPD into his character and in my opinion wrote it so well and conscientiously to people with BPD.

Wade maybe a grump cowboy but honestly it just takes the right person for your spark to come back and I mean he can devour me any time he wants.

The side characters of Mrs. Mae, Iris and the ranch hands honestly only add to this story with their little quirks and banter and really pull the whole book together.

The relationships through this book go through some serious tests and challenges and the plot was not lost through the spice at all, it was beautifully balanced and written. The way that truths were revealed and the fall out hand me close to tears but the bit that finally broke me? ‘Go get her dad’

I just want to be a woman living among the wildflowers and whiskey.

Favourite quotes:
- “Reckon' you oughta be the one bucklin' up, angel,” he murmurs, low and unhurried, laced with a Texan drawl.
- “It’s human. No matter how much someone hurt us, we still miss the pieces of them that made us feel loved. We miss the memories.”
- I should’ve been more careful, but no. Clearly, my vagina decided to hypnotise me into being a stupid, reckless eejit.
- “Stop calling me Mr. Carter.” His voice is laced with a gruffness that does absolutely nothing good for my composure. “We both know that wasn't the name you were using for me last night.”
- But apparently, I am a masochist. One who can't help but dream of a strong, rough cowboy doing things that would have Satan himself reaching for a fan.
- Wade bends lower, his mouth close to my ear. I can feel the warmth of his breath against it. “How good it will feel when I make you cum.”
- I grab her wrist, twisting her back toward me. “What are you doing, Maeve?” “Um, putting my clothes back on. Because we’re done…” A laugh rumbles from my chest. “Done?” “Yes, you’ve finished…” she throws back, presenting it as more of a question. “Oh, angel.” I grip her hips, holding her in place. “You don’t really think I’m letting you leave this cabin without fucking you senseless, do you?”
- “And then, I'm gonna bury my cock in that tight little cunt and make you cum all over again.” I drive two fingers deep inside her without warning. She's soaked, her wetness coating them instantly. “Oh my god,” she breathes, head falling back against the cushions. I curl my fingers, finding that spot that makes her hips buckle. “Not God, angel. Just me.”
- “You belong to me now, angel.” The words come out in a commanding voice that makes my toes curl. Like it’s a promise and a warning all at once. “And I'm gonna make sure you never forget it.”
- I’m going back to Wildbrook Hollow—where wildflowers grow, whiskey is shared, and cowboys love with all their hearts. Back where I belong.

Omg I could not put this book down. I loved everything from start to finish, the characters, the plot and the authors writing style. I’ve never a 3 person POV and I really enjoyed getting to see the story from the multiple view points and to be able to develop a connection to each character individually as well as the entire story. I cannot wait to see what is next for the amazing T Nolan 💙💚💙💚💙

What an incredible debut 👏🏼.

I was lucky enough to receive an EARC of Wildflowers and Whiskey, as part of the Wild Angels Street Team ✨.

Maeve is everything you want in an FMC. She’s kind and caring, sweet and funny. But she’s also fierce and knows what she wants. (Also to add, how hot has T. Nolan made Maeve?!).

Colt, our loveable, golden retriever Cowboy. Seeing how the Author has carefully and thoroughly handled how his BPD is depicted, makes this book one that I personally can relate to. Not many authors get Mental Health Awareness right, but T. Nolan did so with such care and compassion.

Wade. GOD DAMN. That man. Cowboy gods be blessed. He tried so hard to keep anyone from getting close. Gave himself a routine, shut the door to stop anyone getting a peak beneath that grumpy exterior. And when our sunshine girl Maeve came along, we saw the real Wade.

The characters in Wildflowers and Whiskey have imprinted themselves into my heart and soul.

I cant wait to see what else T. Nolan has hidden up her sleeve 👏🏼✨.

Thank you T Nolan and Whimsy Words PR for the opportunity to read an ARC of this gorgeous debut novel!

I absolutely loved this. There comes a point where it feels like when you’ve read one cowboy romance, you’ve read them all, but this genuinely had aspects I’ve not had before so was really lovely to feel in a familiar space but still feel surprised. The 3 character POV was genius and added such depth to the story, and gave a real insight into the struggles of each character. The writing made me feel seen and validated in a way that was just beautiful and heart wrenching all at once.

“I built the wall around me so high that, at some point, I forgot there are people on the other side of it.”

100% recommend if you love cowboys and want a super easy read which has a real sense of having a message behind it.

Wildflowers and Whiskey ★★★¾☆

After finishing a few thrillers, I needed something lighter to read and this was exactly the kind of read I needed.

As a love story this book explored themes of mental health, trauma and betrayal.

Every character carries some trauma and the way they explored finding love was relatable and added warmth to the story.

Watching the main character find her herself became the catalyst for change in the lives of those around her. She helped a father and son begin to heal, allowed the MMC to finally feel seen and open himself up to love, and encouraged herself to embrace who she truly was while spreading joy to everyone she met.

If you’re looking for a wholesome romance with themes of healing, family, and second chances, this is worth picking up.
