Wildflowers & Whiskey is book one of the Wildbrook Hollow Series. It is a cowboy romance that is set on a ranch full of secrets, with two cowboys who want the same girl… and they just happen to be father and son. There’s spice, good vibes, and just enough drama to keep you turning the pages.
This book also includes mental‑health representation, and it doesn’t just focus on intimate love. Family bonds, healing, and learning to love yourself are woven through the journeys of all three main characters.
Blurb: Maeve Callaghan has spent years searching for a place to belong. So when she stumbles across an ad for a ranch immersion scheme during a late-night doomscroll, she takes it as a sign.
At Meadow Bell Ranch, everything feels right. The quiet mornings spent with a book. The satisfaction of a hard day's work. The endless stretch of open country. Unfortunately, so does the brooding cowboy who happens to be her boss.
The more time Maeve spends with Wade, the more convinced she becomes that there's more to him than he lets anyone see. It's none of her business. Unfortunately, that has never stopped her before.
Then there's his son—Colt. He is everything his father isn't: open-hearted and sensitive. As he battles struggles of his own, he and Maeve form an unexpected bond built on trust and understanding.
As the bonds between them deepen, Maeve finds herself caring for both men in ways she never anticipated, so when secrets are revealed, Maeve finds herself tangled in a situation far more complicated than she ever imagined. And when the truth finally comes to light, she may have to choose between the people she's come to care about and the only place that has ever truly felt like she belonged.
what a debut. my girl wrote a book!! not only did she write one, she wrote a bloody good one too. Wildflowers & Whiskey is a love story to personal growth, it’s deeply emotional, sexy and heart achingly beautiful.
Our FMC Maeve is forever seeking the place that feels like ‘home’ so on a whim she signs up to a ranch experience programme in Texas, so flies from London on her next adventure. What she wasn’t anticipating was finding her home within the ranch.
She finds friendship, comfort and happiness in Colt, the golden boy cowboy who has demons he’s working through. She then finds Wade, the broody, grumpy ranch owner who is now her boss… and Colts father. Their chemistry is palpable, is undeniable even though they try to deny it. She gets under his skin, tests him and gives him a reason to smile again after so long, and having so much on his shoulders. A moment for Wade pls … the gc is non stop screaming for Daddy Wade, the mouth on this man. He’s caring, reads her books ;)) and so very thoughtful.
The found family, and our 3 POVs have my whole heart, they’re flawed, complex and human. This was such a joy to read i could not put this down.
~
“Stop calling me Mr. Carter.” His voice is laced with a gruffness that does absolutely nothing good for my composure. “We both know that wasn't the name you were using for me last night.” ~
“So, you think I am dangerous?” I shift my expression into what I hope reads as pure innocence. “Little old me?” “More than you realise, angel.” ~
It’s killing me knowing you’re here on my ranch, in my house, drinking my coffee, and yet you’re not mine.” ~
“Open your eyes and look at me while I take you, angel.” “You belong to me now, angel.” “And I'm gonna make sure you never forget it.” ~
There’s soooo many more highlights i will never stop yapping and recommending this book <3
This was a be true to yourself, make mistakes and LIVE book. Be kind to yourself, communicate and fuck around with single dads who truly are the kindest souls at heart,
Maeve is so relatable through her emotions, her out bursts, her light up the room personality and you can’t help but love her. Damn I think if I was on the ranch I’d want to jump her bones too.
Colt is the golden retriever with issues that he struggles with every day but it doesn’t make him any less of a loveable rogue. I loved how T.Nolan included BPD into his character and in my opinion wrote it so well and conscientiously to people with BPD.
Wade maybe a grump cowboy but honestly it just takes the right person for your spark to come back and I mean he can devour me any time he wants.
The side characters of Mrs. Mae, Iris and the ranch hands honestly only add to this story with their little quirks and banter and really pull the whole book together.
The relationships through this book go through some serious tests and challenges and the plot was not lost through the spice at all, it was beautifully balanced and written. The way that truths were revealed and the fall out hand me close to tears but the bit that finally broke me? ‘Go get her dad’
I just want to be a woman living among the wildflowers and whiskey.
Favourite quotes: - “Reckon' you oughta be the one bucklin' up, angel,” he murmurs, low and unhurried, laced with a Texan drawl. - “It’s human. No matter how much someone hurt us, we still miss the pieces of them that made us feel loved. We miss the memories.” - I should’ve been more careful, but no. Clearly, my vagina decided to hypnotise me into being a stupid, reckless eejit. - “Stop calling me Mr. Carter.” His voice is laced with a gruffness that does absolutely nothing good for my composure. “We both know that wasn't the name you were using for me last night.” - But apparently, I am a masochist. One who can't help but dream of a strong, rough cowboy doing things that would have Satan himself reaching for a fan. - Wade bends lower, his mouth close to my ear. I can feel the warmth of his breath against it. “How good it will feel when I make you cum.” - I grab her wrist, twisting her back toward me. “What are you doing, Maeve?” “Um, putting my clothes back on. Because we’re done…” A laugh rumbles from my chest. “Done?” “Yes, you’ve finished…” she throws back, presenting it as more of a question. “Oh, angel.” I grip her hips, holding her in place. “You don’t really think I’m letting you leave this cabin without fucking you senseless, do you?” - “And then, I'm gonna bury my cock in that tight little cunt and make you cum all over again.” I drive two fingers deep inside her without warning. She's soaked, her wetness coating them instantly. “Oh my god,” she breathes, head falling back against the cushions. I curl my fingers, finding that spot that makes her hips buckle. “Not God, angel. Just me.” - “You belong to me now, angel.” The words come out in a commanding voice that makes my toes curl. Like it’s a promise and a warning all at once. “And I'm gonna make sure you never forget it.” - I’m going back to Wildbrook Hollow—where wildflowers grow, whiskey is shared, and cowboys love with all their hearts. Back where I belong.

i loved every second of this book. it was funny, it made me emotional, it was spicy - what more could you want? i really resonated with a lot of these characters on different levels, and i really think that's the sign of great characterisations - they felt really.
they had flaws and make mistake and stupid reckons just like any real life person would, and it makes them endearing and lovable and relatable in a way that feels authentic and not annoying, which can be hard to do!
i am so obsessed with maeve for starters like, she's so headstrong and fiery which I enjoy yet it didn't take away from her vulnerability. she's chaotic and messy and i love that for her
and don't even get me started on these carter men! daddy wade has a mouth on him, i'll tell you that 😮💨 the spice was spicing and i'm the heart of gold on this grump? i love him!
shoutout to my other faves - colt (the golden haired cutie), bryan (you're a disaster, i love you) and iris (i sense trouble)
even with all the fun and spicy cowboy magic this book brings, at its heart it really has a deeper message about learning to love and accept yourself for who you, and to be kinder to your owed when you make mistakes. it shows us the healing and love that can come from opening yourself up to help and kindness from others, both romantically and for friendships and companionships
you can really see the love and passion tink has for this story and these characters shine through her writing and i think this is such a strong debut!
Omg I could not put this book down. I loved everything from start to finish, the characters, the plot and the authors writing style. I’ve never a 3 person POV and I really enjoyed getting to see the story from the multiple view points and to be able to develop a connection to each character individually as well as the entire story. I cannot wait to see what is next for the amazing T Nolan 💙💚💙💚💙
When Maeve comes across an ad for a ranch immersion work scheme she jumps at the chance of a new experience, and maybe to find somewhere she finally feels she belongs. Before you know it, she’s landed in Texas and greeted by a surly, hot as sin cowboy who makes it clear he doesn’t think she’s got what it takes for ranch life.
Maeve is fierce and unfiltered and funny. The kind of ride or die friend that you want on your side. Her resilience and kindness leap off the pages and her search for a place to belong broke my heart. Colt is the kind and sweet golden boy, but he’s also a lonely soul, battling his demons one step at a time. I loved Colt’s growth and the way his mental health struggles were delicately handled. His and Maeve’s friendship was so sweet and supportive.
And then we have Wade. What. A. Man. When he deigns to actually speak, he has a completely filthy mouth and its sole focus is on Maeve. Underneath all the brooding though is a man who’s put everyone before himself and is just going through the motions of life. It’s been so long since he allowed himself anything that makes him happy, so he can’t stop himself from reaching for Maeve when she bulldozes through his walls.
Maeve and Wade’s chemistry was undeniable - these two were never going to be able to resist. The way the intimate moments between them built quietly was so sweet and then, holy blazing inferno, did it get hot! T Nolan did not deny us the spice and I’d be more than happy to meet Wade in a barn with some rope.
I’m so impressed that this is T Nolan’s debut! The mental health representation was done so well and clearly came from a place of love and understanding. Balancing three POVs isn’t easy but it was so necessary to understand the headspace and actions of each character. She honestly nailed the character development. The spice was hot as hell but didn’t overtake the plot or the impeccably paced and beautiful romance. She deftly infused so much emotion and soul into this story that I cried repeatedly.
If you need me, I’m off to a Texan ranch to find me a cowboy where the wildflowers and whiskey are.
*I received a review copy from the author - this is my honest opinion.
I was lucky enough to receive an EARC of Wildflowers and Whiskey, as part of the Wild Angels Street Team ✨.
Maeve is everything you want in an FMC. She’s kind and caring, sweet and funny. But she’s also fierce and knows what she wants. (Also to add, how hot has T. Nolan made Maeve?!).
Colt, our loveable, golden retriever Cowboy. Seeing how the Author has carefully and thoroughly handled how his BPD is depicted, makes this book one that I personally can relate to. Not many authors get Mental Health Awareness right, but T. Nolan did so with such care and compassion.
Wade. GOD DAMN. That man. Cowboy gods be blessed. He tried so hard to keep anyone from getting close. Gave himself a routine, shut the door to stop anyone getting a peak beneath that grumpy exterior. And when our sunshine girl Maeve came along, we saw the real Wade.
The characters in Wildflowers and Whiskey have imprinted themselves into my heart and soul.
I cant wait to see what else T. Nolan has hidden up her sleeve 👏🏼✨.

Thank you T Nolan and Whimsy Words PR for the opportunity to read an ARC of this gorgeous debut novel!
I absolutely loved this. There comes a point where it feels like when you’ve read one cowboy romance, you’ve read them all, but this genuinely had aspects I’ve not had before so was really lovely to feel in a familiar space but still feel surprised. The 3 character POV was genius and added such depth to the story, and gave a real insight into the struggles of each character. The writing made me feel seen and validated in a way that was just beautiful and heart wrenching all at once.
“I built the wall around me so high that, at some point, I forgot there are people on the other side of it.”
100% recommend if you love cowboys and want a super easy read which has a real sense of having a message behind it.
this was such a fun cowboy romance with heart behind it, an incredible debut from T. Nolan!
It’s so refreshing to read a 3 POV with such sensitivities focused on mental health. the characters are flawed and layered yet so REAL that you can’t help rooting for them and understanding their decisions.
The FMC Maeve is fierce, loyal, caring (and a lil chaotic but we love her for it). She’s forever searching for a place that feels like home, until she finds it in a ranch overlooking the wildbrook hollow mountains, with a grumpy cowboy who she shouldn’t want, but can’t help falling for
Whilst being a romance, underneath is a story of trust, healing and trying to do what’s right, as difficult as that may be
thank you so much t nolan and whimsy words pr for the chance to read early
I was provided an ARC by the author. All thoughts are my own.
It was a nice surprise to find the setting of the book in Texas as a Texas girly myself. I realized I didn’t know the official names for some of our wildflowers so that was a good little education opportunity. The tropes list is what really drew me to this book. I haven’t read a love triangle book before but I thought it was done really well. I enjoyed having the three character point of view. I also really enjoyed the mental health awareness aspect especially with the men’s health focus. You could tell the author tried really hard to make this book realistic with human flaws in the characters without being irritating because they make unnecessary stupid choices for the plot.
After finishing a few thrillers, I needed something lighter to read and this was exactly the kind of read I needed.
As a love story this book explored themes of mental health, trauma and betrayal.
Every character carries some trauma and the way they explored finding love was relatable and added warmth to the story.
Watching the main character find her herself became the catalyst for change in the lives of those around her. She helped a father and son begin to heal, allowed the MMC to finally feel seen and open himself up to love, and encouraged herself to embrace who she truly was while spreading joy to everyone she met.
If you’re looking for a wholesome romance with themes of healing, family, and second chances, this is worth picking up.
I was incredibly lucky to receive an ARC copy of this from the amazing Tink Nolan. This is not my usual choice of genre, however, it was such a gorgeous easy read. The mental health representation in this book was done beautifully and it made the characters so real and relatable like a story that actually happened. The spice in here was doing the work 👌 but not so heavy that it dominated the story. The world building and life on the ranch was stunning and had me debating running away to be a cowgirl 😂 if you love a cowboy romance I highly suggest picking this up, if you don't- surprise yourself and get it anyway! I look forward to reading more by the author.
I’m absolutely floored by this ARC read! A colossal shout out to T. Nolan for the ARC, it’s like I savoured every syllable! This book is sheer brilliance. I needed a break from the whirlwind of Dark and Fantasy Romance, hankering for a dash of spice without the baggage. Cowboys were never my jam, but this book lassoed me right in! The character development? Spot on and oh-so-relatable. I adored every moment with these characters. Wade stole my heart, but Colt isn’t far behind. I’m on pins and needles for more from Tink. If this sounds like your cup of cowboy brew, saddle it up on your TBR list—it’s galloping onto shelves on August 14, 2026. Yeehaw!
Wildflowers and Whiskey goes much deeper than some of the spicy romances I’ve read. This is an exploration of finding yourself, learning to love your quirks and accepting your flaws. It has been so written so beautifully I’m struggling for words.
I am a fantasy girl normally so I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did. The characters were complex but lovable. The storyline was simple yet spoke to me on a spiritual level. The mental health representation was approached so incredibly well.
Catch me moving to a ranch to live out this life - I cannot recommend this enough 💖
