This was a really cute boss employee romance. It was a short, well written story that just grabbed my attention right from the beginning. Chelsea was just a fantastic heroine and I loved her. She had great chemistry with JD, and their journey towards a happy ending was fantastic.
Mr. McHunky: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was such a great forced proximity romance. It was a short, steamy story with lots of humor and warmth. It was well written and just what I needed. Jude and Emory had an instant connection and though she tried to guard her heart, their chemistry overcame her resistance and I loved it.

This was such a fantastic forced proximity romance. It was exactly my type of story, it had humor, steam and wonderful characters. I absolutely loved both Kathryn and Donovan and they just had such a strong connection. I just loved it.

I enjoyed the stories; they were fun with high energy and emotional moments, too, except for some minor tweaks related to some excess saliva and other reactions. I like in these stories the different timelines until the protagonists get together, and they have something in common. In one story, the protagonists find each other in their early years, crushing and falling in love, but couldn't be each other's only one. What a shame for a lost cause that it didn't happen, which is rare when two people are the one and only for one another, happily experiencing everything together forever and ever.
Great epilogues and bonus epilogues. I like the sweet, adorable side of the MC that might look weird to some.

The Hotties of Saddle Creek Collection contains the 3 novellas plus bonus epilogues for each. This is a wonderful box set of fun, entertaining, and smexy hot stories.
1. Mr. McStudmuffin - No Fate
Mr. McStudmuffin is the first book in The Hotties of Saddle Creek series. I loved this book...it is funny, sweet, captivating, exciting and very smexy hot. The story of Chelsea Ward and JD Granger takes place over three years in this simmering passion romance. She has been hired as an new analyst with H & J Funds, an Austin, Texas based investment company. They are the best employer in the area and for Chelsea she is able to get her MBA school fees paid for after she works there for six months. When JD sees Chelsea from across the room on her first day of work all he knows is that she is meant to be his. But Chelsea is warned off both JD and his partner Hayes Crawford by the head of HR, as they are players with reputations. So even though Chelsea's panties literally melt off she knows he is forbidden. When they meet she blurts out she has a boyfriend to ensure she is not available. This may be a lie but it does work even as JD moves her into his office and make her his assistant, just to mentor her that is. Three years later and Chelsea is still with "Mark", her boyfriend, and JD is about to make a drastic decision to help him move on, even as Chelsea is about to tell the truth. One meddling sister later and things take an interesting turn for these two.
I loved this book and can't wait to read the rest of the Hotties stories.
2. Mr. McHunky - Lola
Mr. McHunky is the second book in The Hotties of Saddle Creek series. I totally fell in love with this story about two people who find "themselves" and their place in Saddle Creek when they come together. Emory Travis grew up in the foster care system. But when she was young she found a man who became sort of a grandfather figure to here. He taught her all about cars, engines and how to fix things. He also left her a van that she fixed up and now she is driving around the US shooting videos for her social media channel, that she makes her money from. When her tires blows as she is outside Saddle Creek she calls for a tow truck. Who shows up is Jude Winslow. He is big, burly, grumpy, and very sexy. He is also a man who raised his three younger sisters when their parents were killed in an accident and he was twenty years old. Since then he has dedicated his energy and time to getting the girls through school and to the age of eighteen, when he is no longer legally responsible for them, even though he will always be responsible. One look between Jude and Emory and the sparks are flying...both sexy and spicy banter.
3. Mr. McBeefcake - The one that got away
Mr. McBeefcake is the third book in The Hotties of Saddle Creek series by Kat Baxter. This is a wonderful catching the one that got away romance between Kathryn Foster and Donovan Jewel. They had grown up next door to each other and were best friends, even though they were complete opposites. She was a nerdy and curvy girl and he was the star football player. When they got to their senior year of high school things changed between them. As it turns out there was someone else that decided to come between them and it worked. Now they have both come back to Saddle Creek because her mother and his father found love....with each other. Things are going to get very interesting indeed!

Mr. McStudmuffin is an instant classic! This oh so delightful novella is sexy, witty, angsty, and so much more. Chelsea is a brainy and beautiful woman who clearly friend-zones her boss from the get-go and harbors a secret crush. JD is her yummy, funny, brilliant boss who lusts after his PA but refuses to act on it. It is so much fun watching these two flirt and dance around each other. I love how the author brings their situation to a head, and the way JD rolls with it is simply stunning. I loved this story from start to finish; I could not put it down!
Mr. McHunky is swoony fabulousness from start to finish! I absolutely love Emory—she is spunky, bold, brave, and strong. Her sass is dynamic, and her spirit and soul shine bright. Jude is definitely hunk material—sexy AF with a heart of gold and a protective fire that sears and smolders. His three sisters are so much fun and bring great laughs to some serious moments. The sweet and heartfelt connection between Jude and Emory is instant and leaps off the pages, growing stronger with each turn. I loved the reference to the book Marcus (also a great Kat Baxter read!) and the circumstances in which it appeared in this story. I fell in love with Jude and Emory, and you will too! So, so delicious.

Loved getting to reread these three books and their updated epilogue. Below are my original reviews for each book.
Mr. McStudMuffin - The steam that's coming off the pages of this story nearly threatened to overheat my computer. Talk about sexual tension building up. When it's finally time to get down and dirty, things could have gone seriously south. But JD took the news like a champ and made the best of the situation, and it just caused my heart to swoon.
Mr. McHunky - An adorably and quirky romance story of a traveling influencer and the man who helps her out when she breaks down in his town. Sparks fly immediately and after a near brush with death they decide to act on their feelings. I loved the sisters in this story. They are a hoot, and I'd love to see each of them get their own book.
When Emory is caught reading the book club selection aloud by her van, I was thinking to myself that man this book sounds familiar and I think it was a story I enjoyed. That's because I had read it and it was Marcus from Kat Baxter. So duh, of course I loved it. Funny that I could remember the story from just that little excerpt.
Also, there was a quote towards the end of the book, that I just thought was absolutely beautiful. "Once I love someone, it’s a love that doesn’t go away. Besides, love isn’t an emotion, Peaches. It’s a decision. It’s a daily commitment to be there for the people who are your family. Whether they be family by blood, by marriage or any other choice.".
Mr. McBeefcake - I loved the opposite attract, friends to enemies to lovers trope, with a bit of forced proximity and one bed. Thankfully these two have history and with that history there was already love so it wasn't really an instalove story but rather a reacquainting with one another. A bit taboo thinking about the step sibling part but not really. I loved that he wanted her no matter how lowly she thought of herself and was proud of her accomplishments. And how sweet that she did everything to make his job safer even when they weren't friends any longer. Such a sweet, romantic and steamy story.

Mr McStudmffin
Great start to a new series. I remember JD from another Saddle Creek series and was hoping he would get his own story. This one was fast paced and enjoyable to read. I love the banter and instant attraction between JD and Chelsea. They obviously had feelings for one another from the start but because of something Chelsea heard she claimed she had a boyfriend when she first went to work for JD. Turns out what she heard was incorrect and what she told JD about a boyfriend was also wrong. Once that was cleared up the sparks really started to sizzle. I loved the HEA. Can't wait to read the rest of the book in the series.

Mr McBeefcake
Very enjoyable addition to the series. Kathryn and Donavan grew up next door to one another and have been best friends since age 11. Now their parents are getting married and Kathryn has returned for the wedding. She left shortly after high school and hasn't been back too much and when she is she makes sure to avoid Donavan. Donavan has no idea that Kathryn was treated badly by someone he dated in high school. They both are unaware that the other has loved them all this time. They are forced to spend time together and that allows them to find out what happened all those years ago. The chemistry is still there even stronger now. I love the appearances of characters from previous books involving the men of Saddle Creek and the women they love. Wonderful read with a great HEA.

A short and sexy read. Emory and Jude seem as if they were meant to meet and fall for one another from the beginning. She is all alone except for her dog and traveling the US. Great start to a new series. I remember JD from another Saddle Creek series and was hoping he would get his own story. This one was fast paced and enjoyable to read. I love the banter and instant attraction between JD and Chelsea. They obviously had feelings for one another from the start but because of something Chelsea heard she claimed she had a boyfriend when she first went to work for JD. Turns out what she heard was incorrect and what she told JD about a boyfriend was also wrong. Once that was cleared up the sparks really started to sizzle. I loved the HEA. Can't wait to read the rest of the book in the series.

Very enjoyable addition to the series. Kathryn and Donavan grew up next door to one another and have been best friends since age 11. Now their parents are getting married and Kathryn has returned for the wedding. She left shortly after high school and hasn't been back too much and when she is she makes sure to avoid Donavan. Donavan has no idea that Kathryn was treated badly by someone he dated in high school. They both are unaware that the other has loved them all this time. They are forced to spend time together and that allows them to find out what happened all those years ago. The chemistry is still there even stronger now. I love the appearances of characters from previous books involving the men of Saddle Creek and the women they love. Wonderful read with a great HEA.

So when he introduced himself she blurted out that she had a boyfriend. 3 years later.......3 YEARS later Chelsea is still holding onto that white lie and they both are making themselves miserable.
Their banter was perfect and I loved how JD showed her he cared in little ways like always knowing what coffee drink she needed that day. She may have been oblivious but it was still super sweet.

While on the outside he is pierced, tatted and full of muscle. On the inside he is a golden retriever who has been taking care of his 3 sisters since his parents passed away. Emory has never had family to rely on so it takes her a minute to warm up to the kindness of Jude & his sisters. I loved the spicy side of Emory and how Jude rescued her again when a freak snow storm hits Texas.

Kat knows how to write a great instaromance, with the perfect blend of spice and angst.
If you enjoy steamy scenes, instalove, instaromance, dual pov writing, no cheating, slow burn (it takes the main characters a while to get together), short read, series starter, standalone within a series, interlinking characters, HEAs.
Mr McHunky - I love that Emory is such a strong FMC, she is written amazingly showing that you don't need to be a Damsel in Distress for the hunky man to be attracted to you. Jude is no stranger to being surrounded by women who don't want to be controlled, rasing his three younger sisters he's instilled a sense of self in them by showing them they don't need a man to be happy. So when he helps Emory out of a jam, he's not only instantly attracted to her beauty, but the way she wants to and is able to look after herself.

I absolutely loved The Hotties of Saddle Creek! This complete series was the perfect mix of humor, heat, heart, and small-town romance. Each story brought something different, but they all had the same thing I love most—heroes who fall hard and are completely devoted to their women.
The three heroines were fantastic. They were strong, independent, and definitely kept their men on their toes. I loved seeing their friendships and how the women supported each other while finding their own happily ever afters.
The heroes were swoony in completely different ways. The grumpy CEO secretly falling for his assistant, the tattooed mechanic with a huge heart, and the football star getting a second chance at love each brought their own charm. Whether it was grumpy-sunshine, forced proximity, fake dating, or second chances, every romance had great chemistry and plenty of emotional moments.
What really made this collection shine was the found family feel. Saddle Creek is the kind of small town where you want to spend time, surrounded by loyal friends, hilarious moments, and couples who truly belong together.

I liked the fact they became such good friends while working together.

Mr McStudmuffin - I wanted to shake these two at times, they were perfect for each other, if only they were honest about their feelings. JD surprised me with how he handled things, thank goodness for their family and friends, they needed all the support they could get. I loved all the Terminator references and how much Chelsea and JD connected and understood each other. It was nice to catch up past characters too. 3.75 - 4 stars.
Mr. McHunky - I believed in the connection and chemistry between Emory and Jude and I liked that they shared interested and that Jude was respectful of who Emory was and what she did with her life. I thought his sisters were fab, from fangirling over Emory, bickering with each other and the relationship they had with Jude made me smile. - 3.5 stars.
Mr. McBeefcake - I wish that someone had made these two face their pasts sooner, I could see things from both sides but it still made feel sad for the ways things had gone between them. You have to hand it to Donovan though, he ran with it, he embraced it, and nothing was going to stand in the way of him finally getting his HEA with his KitKat. - 3.75 - 4 stars.

Mr. McBeefcake - I wish that someone had made these two face their pasts sooner, I could see things from both sides but it still made feel sad for the ways things had gone between them. You have to hand it to Donovan though, he ran with it, he embraced it, and nothing was going to stand in the way of him finally getting his HEA with his KitKat. - 3.75 - 4 stars.

This is a fun, fake boyfriend, office romance with believable characters that had me cheering them on to finally get their happily ever after. Great writing and a great start to The Hotties of Saddle Creek series.

Emory grew up in foster care and is now a social media travel influencer. Jude has always put his grandmother and sisters first so when he meets Emory he realizes he's found his one. Now, he has to convince Emory to give him a chance. I loved these two for each other, and their sweet and steamy romance had me cheering them on to get their happily ever after.

Kathryn and Donovan have been crushing on each other since they were kids, and now that they are adults they are finally given a chance to turn their friendship into love. This is a quick read, but it isn't missing a thing from the fun and steamy storyline to the likable characters that had me cheering them on to get their happily ever after. Great collection of cute, short romances about the Hotties of Saddle Creek
This is a great collection filled with three easy to read, short stories with a little spice told in dual POV about three hotties from Saddle Creek. Each story has additional bonus content that extends the stories that you can’t get enough of. While each story is pretty good, I think my favorite has to be book 2 about Mr McHunky, AKA Jude, and Emory. There is something about a cinnamon roll hero that looks alpha that just hooks me in every time. Throw in a meddling family, his three younger sisters that he has taken care of for the past ten years, and I just can’t get enough.
Overall, a great collection of Kat Baxter insta-love, short, seamy stories. I enjoy her writing and this series showcases her talent for writing easy to read, fast paced, spicy romance that can be read in one sitting. I would have given this 3 stars, but the new additional content actually made each installment of the series a bit better so I rounded this up to a 4 star collection.

Mr. McHunky: Lola and Jude. Emory was raised in foster care and now owns a van she calls Lola, a dog named Rosie and is an influencer that travels wherever the road takes her. When she has a blowout in Saddle Creek Jude is the tow truck driver to rescue her. One look at Emory and he knows she's his. But can he get this independent woman to let him in.
Mr. McBeefcake: Kathryn and Donavon: This is a second chance and once their friends drop them off at a cabin and they realize they have to stay they finally communicate and get out the past hurts.
These are all fun reads. There is lots of steam, well written, great characters and great happy endings. Some wonderful bonus epilogues added too. Great collection loved it.

This contains the complete three book collection of the Hotties of Saddle Creek, a part of the entire Saddle Creek collection. Included are: Mr. McStudmuffin, Mr. McHunky, and Mr. McBeefcake—I love those titles—and boy were they accurately named!
Although they were all super short, the one thing they WEREN’T lacking was heat! Sweetness either, for that matter, but the heat was H-O-T and the dirty mouths on the MMCs…oh yeah, they’re sure to have you fanning yourself!
The entire collection is just a little over 200 pages so you know they won’t take long to read but even with them being that short, you won’t feel like you’ve missed anything… unless like me you weren’t ready to let ‘em go… but that’s another thing entirely😄. Check ‘em out, spend a little time under the AC ‘cause you know, like with all of the author’s books, July ain’t the only thing hot going on around here! 5 stars.

As always love these family text chainsm which are hilarious and so closely related to real siblings. So happy to find more McHotties coming our way.

If you have not previously had the pleasure of visiting Saddle Creek then you are in for a treat! Welcome to the place where Fate manages to bring together big, gorgeous alpha men with hearts of gold and the women they KNOW are the ones they are supposed to be with. The path to the women’s hearts doesn’t tend to be straight forward but the journey is so worth the prize at the end.
The three stories are full of banter and lots of swoon worthy moments with just the right amount of spice to keep any reader engaged. So get comfy in your favourite reading chair and get ready to be charmed by these Saddle Creek men and the women they love.
