Lucia Lewis has a tormented past. Scarred by her foster father when she was younger, she always felt unwanted and undesired. She never felt beautiful and now, all she wants is to escape her dark past. She’s in Las Vegas for two days and she plans to find someone who will give her what she craves the most – some attention and a night of scorching hot sex. Even if she lost some weight she still feels insecure, so she decides to attend a masquerade ball, thinking that she will be more comfortable behind a mask.

Navy Seal Cade Daniel heads to Vegas on a mission - to keep his best friend's little sister out of trouble. His best friend, Natalie wants to protect her little sister, Lucia, so she asked her friend to find her and stop her plans. She thinks Lucia is not ready for what she has in mind thinking she eventually will end hurt and alone.

Cade is fascinated by Lucia even before to find out she’s his best friend’s sister. Lucia is gorgeous, she seems shy, vulnerable and in need of someone to protect her. He knows he’s not that man for that, but he’s ready to do anything to have this beautiful woman in his bed for one night. Even if he promised Natalie he will not touch Lucia, he can;t stay away. When Natalie finds out what her best friend did, Cade knows he will not be able to keep his true identity from Lucia for too long.

“I want to take you any and every way you can imagine. In public or hidden away, if it turns you on, I want to try it. And one way or the other, we'll end with you screaming my name.”

This was my first time reading a book by this author, so I didn’t know what to expect. “To Tempt a Seal” was a very steamy read with an interesting storyline and likeable characters.

Lucia was a heroine very easy to like. She’s a little bit shy and vulnerable at least at first, but she also is strong, determined and confident. Cade was likeable as well. He’s sweet and thoughtful and made Lucia more than once feels like she truly is, a beautiful woman. Their chemistry was off the charts, but what I didn’t like was how fast they fell for each other. I don’t need the ‘I love youS’ to enjoy a romance, so this aspect of the story didn’t work for me. Also the ending was very rushed. The connection between them was nicely done, but it was more physically. I would have preferred to feel an emotional connection.

Overall, a good, steamy read with two likeable main characters and great writing.

Cade," she moaned.
"Hold on tight, gorgeous. We're just getting started."

Sara Jane Stone is a new to me author and one I didn't know what to expect from when I started reading this book. All I knew is the title had "SEAL" in it so I was sold. What? I never said I wasn't easy. After finishing it I can definitely tell that this author is definitely one I would read in the future and this series has fully sucked me in and I can't wait for more.

I love a romance that is a bit outside of the norm with it's story line. Although the set up is not unlike ones I've read in the past, I loved that the heroine wasn't your typical beauty. Scarred by her foster father as a young girl, Lucia has never seen herself as beautiful. She's never been the one to get any attention besides the uncomfortable stares that her facial scars induced. After losing weight and donning a masquerade mask, Lucia hopes that this bit of anonymity while at a party in Vegas will give her exactly what she needs; a night of scorching hot sex with a man that will cross off all 3 points on her sexual to-do list. And the best part about it is she wouldn't have to lose her mask throughout the entire process.
In his world, relationships were like quicksand. Even if they could keep their heads above the surface, what would happen when she found out he'd been sent here to find her?

Navy SEAL Cade Daniels notices the striking beauty in the gorgeous dress right away. He's drawn to her in a way he's never been before. But as much as he wants to give into the obviously crackling chemistry that sizzles between them, he's also on a mission. His best friend and Lucia's older sister, Natalie, sent him there specifically to ensure that Lucia doesn't accomplish hers. A little distraction goes a long way, but before Cade knows what hit him, the attraction between them proves too much and when he gives into the inevitable and falls into bed with the woman, he knows that only one time won't do.
He'd been on covert missions that dialed the adrenaline up to one hundred, but this feel like the biggest thrill of his life.

Cade has seen first hand through his parents and fellow SEALs what a relationship with a military can do and he wants to part of it. But even knowing that all he can offer Lucia is temporary, he can still give her the best few nights of her life. Things don't always go according to plan though and it's not long before Natalie finds out what happens and keeping his true identity from Lucia becomes harder and harder.

This was a super steamy read and while I found the characters had quite a bit of depth for the type of story it was, I also craved something a little deeper. (No pun intended) While their chemistry was off the charts, I found their primary connection to be more on the physical then emotional sense. I suppose that I just needed something a little bit more on that end. Also I found the way it resolved to be just a little too easy and perfect. Considering how everything took place and Cade's lies by omission, I wanted him to work a little harder for his forgiveness. Lucia forgave him way too easily in my opinion. Overall, this was a sweet and sexy romance and one I'd definitely recommend to readers that enjoy a story about a sexy SEAL and the woman that brings him to his knees.
I want to take you any and every way you can imagine. In public or hidden away, if it turns you on, I want to try it. And one way or the other, we'll end with you screaming my name.

4.5 - "You like things that explode in your mouth?" Stars!

Sara Jane Stone’s writing epitomizes everything that I want to read in a book of this genre. Well developed and engaging story-lines, likeable characters, and plenty of sexy, sexy sex! This isn’t the first book I have read by this author, and it definitely won’t be the last.

”We’ve moved a helluva long way past hello.”

Lucia and Cade, accidentally (on purpose) bump into each other in Las Vegas. Lucia is there for one thing, sex, no-strings, and commitment free sex. Cade is there unbeknownst to her, at her sister’s request to ensure she doesn’t make a mistake of epic proportions or end up out of her depth.

”I’m going to hell for this.”

What Natalie didn’t figure on is the chemistry that sizzles from Lucia’s first meeting with Cade, and the fact that her best friend has his sights firmly on being the guy that Lucia end up having her weekend of sexy fun with while in Las Vegas.

This is one of those books that you pick up, get lost in and don’t really return to reality until you finish the epilogue. I loved Lucia, strong and vulnerable, confident but shy and although she had issues, they felt genuine and not overplayed.

”I’ve been good for a long time… I think I’m ready to be bad.”

Cade was the perfect yin to her yang, he talked the talk, but backed it up with the walk as well, also in that he had his own set of issues but they complemented each other in their weaknesses and strengths to give a whole enjoyable and really sexy and emotive read.

”I thought going down under water was a SEAL specialty?”

I had high expectations of this book, that’s because I have high expectations of the author and once again, she delivered 100%. I hope we do not have to wait too long for the next Sin City SEALs book, because if To Tempt a SEAL is anything to go by this series is just getting started!

”You can paint my dick magenta if it turns you on.”

First time reading this author, I went on a Brazen binge last month, needing light and sexy reads. Hit or miss it appears. While I liked the premise, the cheesy ending failed to satisfy my picky self...

Navy Seal Cade Daniels is sent to Vegas on a mission… Protect his best friend Nathalie’s little sister, Lucia and keep her out of trouble during her week end in Las Vegas…

I liked the premise of this story, Lucia, a beautiful young woman, scarred by her her foster father when she was younger, decided to offer herself a weekend of fun and reckless in the city of Sin…
Unaware of her beauty, she’s convinced no man will ever look past her disfigurement.
Dressed only in a sinful red dress and with the excuse of a masked ball to hide her marred features, she seizes the opportunity to find a handsome man for a night of sinfulness.

Yeah I can say, I was more than okay with her choices to let it go. And knowing she’ll get caught by sexy Seal Cade Daniels? I was already jumping from excitement!

Cade Daniels is in for a surprise, he keeps looking for Lucia’s description but is drawn to a gorgeous woman dressed in red…
Their meeting although expected was sweet and promised a sexy follow up. And Sara Jane Stone most certainly delivered on that part. "To Tempt a Seal" definitely fell into the heated read category with a bit of a kink thrown in for good measure. Cade revealed to be quite the dirty talker, the man knew how to take things to another level!
Lucia came with a list of fantasies to fulfill, and Cade will more than gladly play his part… They’re soon checking all what was on her note and more…

Too much, in my opinion, I enjoyed the story until it became clear the author was giving us an all to nicely wrapped case of insta-lust/love/hea.
I like some light reads eventually, yes, but I can’t just accept from 2 characters to fall in love over a night or two of sex in Las Vegas, of all places.
Overall I liked "To Tempt a Seal", it was an okay read but I would have preferred it to end on some kind of ‘happy for now’ ending rather than this too sweet happy ending.

I was pleased with the overall narrative of this story. The character struggles seemed genuine and not overplayed. The chemistry between the characters was also well done - probably the highlight of the book.

“So Cade, did you come for the art or the chocolate?”
“Gorgeous, I came to find you.”

As cheesy as his pick up line may sound, Cade’s statement is actually true. Sent by Lucia’s big sister (and his best friend), Natalie, Cade is only meant to protect Lucia from her desired one night of debauchery with a stranger. Instead, Cade finds himself falling helplessly for the curvaceous and tempting woman who is nothing like the insecure ugly duckling her sister described. Attending a Vegas party, wearing a mask to cover her scarred face, Lucia is ready to meet a man and enjoy a night of anonymous sex. When Navy SEAL Cade finds her post-it-note list of sexual fantasies, they both learn Lucia has what it takes to tempt the SEAL.
.
The post-it-note lists and Cade's stick figure fantasies was a cute addition to the storyline. I loved when the characters were discussing what they wanted to do to each other and referenced the post-it’s as #1, 2, 3, etc. So much fun!
What I found a little difficult to digest was the idea of 2 people who are struggling with their own issues of commitment, finding each other and falling completely in love in the span of 2 days. Finding a connection or a bond quickly is fine ... but the head over heels, “I know you're the one” type of epic love that was built (in Vegas of all places) seems really unrealistic. It would have been much better if the timeline had been stretched out and the characters had more than a quick fling to get to know each other.

Overall, a sweet romance with great steamy parts and really nice HEA.

One weekend in Vegas to let loose and let your sexual fantasies comes true...no harm in that. Right? Well, the saying couldn't be more true.."What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." For Lucia Lewis, a trip to Vegas was meant to let go of her inhibitions and have a wild one-night with a stranger while crossing off her Post It fantasy list. Unbeknownst to her, she happens to meet one hot sexy Navy SEAL who was willing to help her cross off her list.

#ToTemptASeal

Cade Daniels was sent to Vegas by his best friend, Natalie Lewis to watch out her baby sister. His job was to watch over her but he soon found himself fulfilling Lucia's sexual fantasies. He knew if Lucia found out that he was sent by her older sister, Lucia's insecurities might resurface. So throughout his weekend affair with Lucia, he didn't expect their sexual chemistry to be explosive. So what happens when Lucia learns of the truth of the real reason why she met Cade?

To Tempt a SEAL by Sara Jane Stone was one hot sexy read. From the opening pages to the last page, this story was wickedly and sinfully addicting. There is nothing like reading a romance book of a hot Navy SEAL who can sweep you off your feet. I loved how the author kept the heat level of this book extremely HOT and there was no denying the sparks between Lucia and Cade. I really enjoyed this quick steamy read but I wished the unraveling scene of the truth was a bit longer since I wanted more of an emotional connection with Cade and Lucia. But overall, I can't complain much since this book satisfied my Brazen book junkie addiction. So if you are looking for a sinfully, sexy steamy book then I recommend you to read To Tempt a SEAL by Sara Jane Stone since I know for sure this won't be the last time I read from this author.

4 Gorgeous, I’m your man stars

Lucia Lewis is running from the person she has become. She is in Vegas and she has a list damnit. Having led a sheltered life, following a harrowing experience at the hands of her foster father, Lucia decides now is the time to open up, jump on, hold tight and see what is in store for her, especially at a masked ball. Who knows who she might find.

Cade Daniels is a Navy Seal, just like his Dad, and he knows his profession of choice leaves very little time or energy for relationships. However, his best friend has a sister that may need a little looking after, and she’s heading to Vegas. Get the picture?

Now this is not a new storyline, by any means, but Sara Jane Stone is a new author to me, so I was keen to see how her voice would call to me.

I had an immediate attachment to Lucia, given her backstory and her resultant fears she was still trying to come to terms with. Sara characterised her beautifully, with care and compassion, as well as giving her a backbone.

Cade wasn’t just a beefed up bodyguard.

”Those muscles were like catnip."

He recognised Lucia’s underlying fears, and sought to help the brave woman struggling to get out. The fact that he was willing to do anything to help her, including injecting his own agenda, was a joy to watch.

They both had issues to work around if they thought their weekend fling would go any further, but it was a pleasure to hitch on this story and see it unfold in Sara Jane’s unique way.

I will definitely be seeking out more from this author.

I was drawn to To Tempt a Seal because of the synopsis. How often do you get a good romance book featuring a character who isn't physically perfect? While To Tempt a Seal was a hot and sexy read, I sadly, didn't think it was an emotional book that made me want to believe that the relationship between the couple went beyond sex.

Lucia flies to Vegas in the hopes of finding a man who would be willing to fulfill all her fantasies in a night. She finds that man in Cade. She doesn't know that he was sent by her elder sister, Natalie, to look after her. Lucia was a very insecure woman. An incident with a foster parent had left her face scarred and she also struggled with her weight. She was easy to sympathize with and I wanted to give the girl a hug. I was proud of her for going after what she wanted with Cade. With the help of Cade, she realizes that her scarred face does not define her and that she can feel beautiful. Cade was pretty much the typical romantic military man. Good hearted, sexy and possessive. I didn't like that he kept his friendship with Lucia's sister a secret from Lucia after becoming involved with her, but in an odd way I understood where he was coming from. The sexual chemistry between Lucia and Cade was off the charts. These two were hot together and there were lots of scenes that attested to that. I think one of my issues with To Tempt a Seal was that there was a bit too much sex. I know Brazen books are supposed to be all about the sexy times but I like how the emotional relationship balances out all the sex. In To Tempt a Seal, I didn't think there was much of a balance. I never got the feeling that Cade and Lucia got to know each other besides the surface. So when the "I love yous" came after like 2 days dominated by sex, I was taken aback. That being said, To Tempt a Seal was certainly entertaining and I liked the author's writing a lot. I hope Jack, Cade's friend, and Natalie get a book of their own. Speaking of Natalie, I wish her relationship with Lucia was explored further in this book. The two seemed to share an emotional closeness despite being far apart, so I was a little let down that their relationship wasn't portrayed more.

In the end, To Tempt a Seal was an entertaining read, but I wanted a bit more to feel emotionally connected with the characters and their romance. I would still recommend this book if you're looking for a quick, sexy read.

A new-to-me author and a new series and, as firsts go, if To Tempt a SEAL is any indication of Sara Jane Stone's writing, then she has a new follower. Her addition to the Brazen line is one of the best I have read in some time and she has created a likeable couple with depth and a superb chemistry, who are passionate with realistic strengths, weaknesses, hopes and fears. It was enjoyable from the first page and maintained this momentum throughout.

“Ready for your dreams to come true?”

description

The best friend's little sister trope is a firm favourite but in this instance the little sister has no clue who Cade Daniels is. To Lucia Lewis he's a stranger she meets at a masquerade ball; a handsome Navy SEAL willing to help her achieve her to-do-list of fantasies. I very much liked Lucia; determined and sassy she brings out the best in Cade and this attentive, thoughtful and very sexy man unleashes a confident lady who quickly works her way into his affections.

description

Together they burn the pages, bring fun and emotion. This ticked pretty much all the boxes of what I want to find in a sexy read, is a great opener to the Sin City SEAL's series and with strong secondary characters I'm excited to see where Sara Jane Stone takes the series. 4.5 stars.

A nice and easy read about a woman who lets loose when she goes to Las Vegas for a vacation. Unbeknown to her, her sister sends her best friend to go check up on her and he just so happens to be a sexy, hot SEAL. Sexy times, lots of dirty talk and a number of fantasies make for a memorable time in Vegas. It was nice to read a book where the heroine wasn't this perfect sized specimen.

Very few books have the ability to have me liking the characters and enjoying the story from the very beginning. I was surprised that Sara Jane Stone did just that even though she is a new author to me.

To Tempt a SEAL takes the best friend/sibling troupe and gives it a little twist. In this case, Cade Daniels and Natalie Lewis are best friends and Cade ultimately falls for Natalie’s younger sister, Lucia.

After the death of their parents, the Lewis sisters went from foster home to foster home. When the girls were seventeen and sixteen, their lives again changed in an unimaginable way. As a result, the two grew apart but still maintained a relationship. The two don’t really see each other since Lucia lives in Tennessee and Natalie lives in California. They call, text, and email but they don’t really have a grasp of who the other is on a daily basis.

When Lucia tells Natalie she plans to go to Vegas and live out some of her fantasies with a complete stranger, Natalie freaks out. She convinces Cade to look out for Lucia since he’s going to be in town visiting his father.

“So Cade, did you come for the art or the chocolate?”
“Gorgeous, I came to find you.”

Oh, Lord, and so it begins.....

Lucia has no idea Cade is actually there to find and look out for her. Cade has no idea Lucia is a beautiful tempting vixen who’s a little bit insecure. Lucia isn’t looking for anything past her weekend in Vegas. Cade doesn’t do relationships since the SEALs are his life. He has first hand experience that his job isn’t conducive to having a true relationship. These two are so great together with their playful back and forth and their sizzling chemistry.

Sara Jane has given me everything I love in a Brazen romance, from the hot, to die for hero, to the likeable, insecure heroine, to the steamy bedroom (or lounge chair or shower) action, to wonderful secondary characters I can’t wait to read more about. Sara Jane definitely has a new fan in me.

Lucia goes to Las Vegas to have a wild weekend. Cade is sent to keep an eye on her by Lucia’s sister who is Cade’s best friend. Cade can’t keep his hands off of her and that’s all it takes to start their relationship. He fulfills all of her fantasies and throws in a couple of his own.

I was expecting this to be one of those books that was a good read but I was WRONG!! I fell in love with these two characters and wanted everything to work out for them throughout the whole book. All the feels, y’all! I can’t pinpoint why this story just hit all the right spots for me but it totally did. I love the sexy time because Daaaaaayum, Cade is hot but it’s the emotional upkeep that got me. It was so easy and flowed so well between Cade and Lucia that I didn’t want the book to end. That’s one of the biggest compliments that I can give a book.

This sexy contemporary romance is the story of Lucia and Cade. A facial disfigurement at the hands of her foster father left Lucia with not only physical but emotional scars as well. Determined to move forward with her life, she's made a list of things she wants to accomplish, a sexual list, and a masquerade party in Vegas is the perfect place for her to hide her scars and hook up with a guy who'll see everything but them. When she meets handsome SEAL Cade, he's the dream man she's been looking for, and even when the mask comes off he sees her beauty inside and out. But when she finds out that he was sent by her sister (whom she had confided in about her wish list) to foil her plans, can she trust what they've built between them?

I'm partial to stories where one (or both) of the main characters are trying to overcome some adversity to move forward in their lives so I had high hopes for this and I was delighted with the results. Lucia is a friendly, quiet woman, her scars on the outside having scarred her inside too. Hiding behind a mask gives her the confidence to go after what she wants. She's used to the looks, the stares, the questions, and ignoring them, but just this once she wants to be able to forget them and have a sexy night with a stranger. She works as an art therapist, painting these beautiful canvasses to show her inner emotions. This enables her to teach others to do the same, and I thought it was a very inventive outlet and career choice for her character. Cade is a strong, handsome, sexy guy and he is instantly attracted to Lucia, physically obviously since she's dressed to kill, but emotionally as well. He likes her, and thinking the mask is part of a game, it's a game he wants to play - even at the risk of angering his best friend , Lucia's sister, who sent him to stop the whole charade.

"He was on a mission to keep her from finding someone to fulfill her fantasies. Making her naughty dreams come true? Not part of the job. But he couldn't let her walk away. The thought of her searching the masked crowd for another man - hell, no. That wasn't happening, not tonight."

The sex is definitely what drives this story, and once the attraction between them has been established, their conversation ratchets up the heat and leads to several steamy scenes. Lucia has a list of things she wants to do with the man who'll be willing to go there with her, and Cade is all in once he finds out what's involved. I particularly liked the inventiveness of using post-it notes to detail ones fantasies, and the combination of humour and sex, to make their scenes lighthearted sometimes and deeper the next.

"She leaned back against the propped up chair, wrapped her lips around the straw, and sucked. Her mouth is a work of art. Before he gave into temptation, he pulled out the pad of Post-its he'd stuck in his pocket.
"Post-its?" She held the straw close to her lips.
"I'm writing my list." He set the paper on his thigh and got to work illustrating his hopes and dreams for today, tonight and every hour until she headed for the airport. "You told me your fantasies last night," she said, eyes widening. He tore off the top Post-it and placed it on the towel-lined chair. "Gorgeous, I have a lot more than four."

As they knock items off her list, and then his, the emotional component of their relationship can't be ignored and they discover how much they enjoy just spending time together. Cade sees the real woman inside, scars and all and wants to protect her, wishing he could take away her insecurities and show her how beautiful she is. I loved how he treated her, how he made her feel wanted and loved. But Cade also has his own problems. He witnessed his parents marriage falling apart, and he's still an active military member, one who goes on missions and doesn't feel capable of being in a long term relationship. Only the more time he spends with Lucia, the more he wonders whether he wants to follow completely in his father's footsteps and lose out on having a real relationship. Both characters have their work cut out for them to learn to trust their hearts. This is definitely an insta-love type of story, but given where they meet (it's Vegas after all), I wasn't surprised by it and I thought it worked well in this case.

Of course there is the inevitable conflict that must be overcome in order to have the proverbial happy ending. But it was done well and the overall story is minimal in angst and more a tale of two people with sexual chemistry who are good for each other. There are lots of lighthearted and humorous moments throughout. It was a very enjoyable and sexy read, and I'm hoping there will be more books to come soon in this series! 4 stars.

I received an ARC copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Such emotional story, one that rips at your heart and makes you grab a box of Kleenex while cheering at the same time. Social worker Lucia Lewis has scars given to her by a foster father. She feels that she is hideous so she never has never been one to get attention of the male persuasion ; She lost weight, psyched herself up to do something very daring and went to Las Vegas where everyone knows what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. She gets herself this lovely mask – the mask the type Marti Gras style- will cover the scars so that when she picks up this sexy, handsome, anonymous man, she will be able to have a wonderful night of sexual fantasies that will knock off her bucket list of sexual needs and wants. While in Vegas attending this wedding party she knows she will meet the guy who can help her with what she needs and then she runs in to Cade. He meets all her requirements.
Lucia and Cade, accidentally bump into each out and the chemistry/heat between them is so off the chain that is almost melts my kindle. She finds out he is a SEAL and he definitely rescues her and they were able to do some great things between the sheets. He walked the walked and talked the talked; no matter what she wanted, he did. YUMM…. But then, see, this wasn’t an accidental meeting- this was a deliberate meeting set up by Lucia sister Natalie. She is Cade’s friend and she was worried for her younger sister and wanted her to be safe so she sent her friend to watch after her. She didn’t realize what was going to happen. Here come the twists and turns in their relationship- what happens between them and what ends up happening between Lucia and Natalie?
This story really comes across as such an emotional rollercoaster. You can feel how the heroine feels and get where she is coming from- her pain and insecurity. When she finally decides to take a chance in life and decide to feel something. Then she meets someone who makes her feel more than physical, it is so wonderful and then when she realizes it was just set up, it all comes crashing down. WOW, I love how the author writes the feelings for everyone. I love how ALPHA Cade is and how he really fell in love with Lucia. How strong he is and how he agonized on not wanting to tell this woman he fell in love with the truth. On Lucia, how fragile she starts out but by the end of the book, how independent she has come and how strong and confident she has become. They still both have their weaknesses but they both became each other’s strength . I loved that and how I loved Cade and Lucia. I can’t wait to read another story in this series. I hope the author writes Natalie’s story next, for I feel her story is one to read. The ending ended on a great note and the HEA was fantastic.

These two characters have a similar job they help people but one lie can tear them apart.

This is my first read by Ms. Stone and I have to say that I love her writing style. It is intriguing, creative and beautiful. I love reading stories about military men and this one has one sexy SEAL that ends up doing a favor for his best friend only that his best friend didn’t tell him everything about her sister. From the moment that he saw this woman he wanted her he didn’t know that it was his best friend’s sister until she said her name.

Lucia Lewis is a painter and works with children in a hospital. Something horrific happened to her when she was in foster care and painting was something that helped her and now she is trying to help children overcome some of their pain. She was left with scars on her face that will never go away and when people see her they gasp, they stare and that makes her feel unpretty. She is ready to go to the city of Sin and look for a man that will rock her world but in order to do that she believes she needs to wear a mask to cover her scars.

Navy SEAL Cade Daniels is on his way to see his father but also to do a favor for his best friend. When he first sees her he wants her but then he realizes that this is the person he is supposed to look after. Only he wants her too much she is so gorgeous and he ends up doing something he is not supposed to. But then something happens and her mask comes off and the first thing he sees is her red scars and he can’t believe that Natalie, Lucia’s sister, didn’t tell him anything. Cade wants for Lucia to tell him what happened and when she tells him her story he can’t believe it. But what I loved about Cade was that he liked the person who was Lucia not what she looked like and he spent their rest of the time worshipping her like no one ever has.

Things are great between them she has the time of her life and she knows that she will be leaving back home but she is starting to think about the future. She really likes him and she believes that maybe she can have a relationship with him and she can wait for him while he is out on tour. He knows that he is lying to her but there is no way for her to find out that he knows her sister and he is never going to see her again but his feelings are getting stronger for her and he needs to do something about it.

To Temp a SEAL was a great read and I enjoyed reading it. I love that it was short and sweet. These two characters were amazing and they truly deserved each other. The chemistry is instant and it is scorching HOT they can’t get enough of each other. Now I wonder if there will be a story for her sister Natalie.

I totally recommend this read!!!

I am always game for a Brazen and I have to say, this one was a fun and extremely sexy read! Sara Jane Stone does not hold back on the sexy times and I have to say I loved how she jumped right into them!

I felt for Lucia. She has decided to take a trip to Las Vegas for an exhilarating weekend in Sin City and all that entails. She attends a masquerade ball and plans to find a sexy man to fulfill her list of fantasies. She is approached by Cade Daniels, a sexier than sin Navy SEAL in a tuxedo who is all too willing to participate in her fantasies. However, Cade is there under false pretenses. He has been sent by his best friend, Natalie, who also happens to be Lucia's older sister. Natalie knows of Lucia's weekend plans and wants to make sure she stays out of trouble.

However, one look at the beautiful woman who tempts him like no other, and Cade knows he can't let her find some other man to do the things on her list with. He knows it's a betrayal to his best friend, but the more time he spends with Lucia, the more he wants to be the one to show her how beautiful and sexy she is, scars and all.

Neither Lucia nor Cade is looking for anything long-term. Cade doesn't believe he is capable of it, being a SEAL and seeing what that did to his family when his father served. Their deployments are long and most marriages and relationships cannot withstand the time and distance. Lucia just wants a weekend of fun and sexy times with a stranger before she returns to her life in Tennessee. She never expected to fall for Cade, but she can't help but relish in the way he makes her feel. He sees past her imperfections and empowers her and I really loved that about him.

My one issue with this one was that the relationship felt too rushed. The entire book takes place over the span of a weekend and Cade and Lucia are making declarations of love to one another. I would have preferred to see the more serious aspect of their relationship drawn out a bit more.

This is definitely a feel good story, especially considering Lucia's confidence issues. She's real and I'm sure a lot of women can identify with her. Cade is one of those guys that every woman dreams of having- a man who isn't afraid to use his actions and words to show her just how wonderful she is and what she deserves in her life.

Overall, while I felt some of it felt rushed, I did find this to be a sexy and fun read!

Lucia Lewis is finally going to just let go and live. She heads to Las Vegas to attend a masquerade ball and find a man that will fulfill her bucket list of fantasies. She just wants a weekend of unbridled lust and leave with no attachments. Her only rule? Her mask stays on at all times. It hides her face of scars which she feels has made people judge her by what they see rather than who she is.

Cade Daniels, Navy SEAL and best friend of Lucia's sister, Natalie, is sent to watch over her. Knowing Lucia's plan, she didn't want her to get in over her head so Cade agreed to go. Once at the ball, Cade notices this beauty looking at some art. After striking up conversation, he's totally taken with her. Their banter is witty and their attraction is mounting. When Lucia drops a post it note of her fantasies, he's determined to help her cross them off her list! Later he finds out she's Natalie's sister. How can he possibly follow through with his promise to Natalie to keep her safe and keep his hands off Lucia. She's nothing like what Natalie told him.

Cade and Lucia start to tackle the list of fantasies, he knows he's now in an impossible situation. He's too taken with her. But when her mask slips and he sees her face, he knows she will never believe that what he has said is the truth. She will think he was forced to say those things because of her sister Natalie. And then he will lose his best friend. All he knows is he can't say no to Lucia and he'll deal with the consequences later.

I loved this story. You can see where it is going, but it was such an enticing read. It was quick and fast paced. I loved the Cade and Lucia together and felt everything Cade said to Lucia was true. Never once did I think he was just saying those things because he had to. The backstories that we learn of both are believable and we understand the insecurities that both have. Their chemistry was sizzling and the scenes were smoking hot! All in all this book had everything I look for in a romance. I think you may too!

Sara Jane Stone is a new author for me and I was extremely happy to read this book by her. Since this is book one in the Sin City SEALS series, I am looking forward to getting my hands on the next one!

Posted on What I'm Reading

Okay, time to form my thoughts on To Tempt a Seal by Sara Jane Stone. First off, like other Brazen books it does have a lot of hot scenes. So, if you are not a big fan of a lot of sex then you might move along. If that's not your issue, here are the things I like about the story.

First off, it's a Vegas story. We know I'm a fan of Vegas stories, because everything and anything can happen. Anyway, we have Lucia Lewis who has decided to abandon her reserve life for a weekend of sinful fun in Vegas. Now this might sound like something like anyone can do, but she has scars on her face that tend to scare away others. However, she came with a plan. She has a posted list of four things she wants to accomplish in Vegas:
1. An irresistible man tied to my bed.
2. A man willing to go down on me until I come so hard I forget my own name
3. An orgasm. In public.
4. Give a man a blowjob that will leave him begging for another.
Sounds like a wild weekend waiting to happen. Plus, she feels safe, because she can hide her face behind a mask.

We get to meet Cade Daniels. He has been sent on a mission to keep an eye on his best friend's little sister. When he meets Lucia he's struck by her beauty, confidence, and the desire to be the man to keep sinfully entertained. Poor Cade, he has the hots for his best friend's sister and caught between be honor bound on keeping Lucia safe. So many tricky lines that need to be cross.

This hot steamy read was pretty good. I liked the story, and it brought up a couple of issues. For instances, Lucia scars and how they came about and changed her. Going into foster care, Lucia always wanted fit in, but it's not all easy. Once she got the scars, she closed herself off from others. After Cade saw the scars, he made an effort to make her feel special, and the scars started to fad in his eyes. Some of the romantic gestures were so sweet. Towards the end I was melting into a pile of goo. Also, Cade having to decide what is more important, duty or finding love. So, if you are looking for a fairly quick read that's hot and steamy that can turn you into a pile of goo by the end.

Favorite Lines:
“You’re a SEAL,” she said. “The best of the best—“
“I think there are some marines and maybe a handful of Army Rangers that would disagree with you.”

This was a really sweet, enjoyable romance between a hot, sexy SEAL and a woman looking to fulfill her fantasies.

Lucia Lewis has scars on her face that have kept her from living life to its fullest – so when she’s in Vegas for a weekend, she decides to take charge of her life and find a man who will fulfill her ultimate sexual fantasies. And who better to fulfill those fantasies than one sexy, willing SEAL?

“From the moment I first saw you staring at the painting, I wanted you. Come to bed, gorgeous, and claim your fantasy.”

Cade Daniels finds himself tasked with secretly keeping an eye on his best friend’s sister, but he never expects the sister to be a gorgeous beauty. The chemistry between them is hot and he’s instantly attracted to her, so when he hears about her wanting to find a man to fulfill her fantasies, he’s game. It gets incredibly hot and steamy between them once they begin a no-strings sexual relationship, but both of them soon realize that once won’t be enough for them.

“You want to be the girl in my fantasies?” He took her face in his hands. “You are my fantasy.”

I really liked To Tempt a SEAL – the writing is on point, and the characters were likable and relatable. It might not be the most creative or unique book ever, but I still enjoyed what I read. I liked how well-developed the characters were and I definitely enjoyed the steamy parts of the book. Cade and Lucia only spend a few days together before they start falling for each other, which felt a bit unrealistic, but other than that, I have no complaints. This was an easy, sexy read and I’m looking forward to the other books in the series.

A new series, characters to get to know with the same AMAZING writing I have come to expect from Sara. This is the story of a woman that feels as though she is worth nothing, and for just one weekend wants to be someone else. We all feel like this at some point in our lives, or at least I have. Lucia wants to be bold, sexy, to feel wanted and desired by a man. She comes up with a plan, makes a list of what she wants, but is nowhere near ready for what she gets. Navy Seal Cade Daniels was sent to protect Lucia from herself and the crazy plan she has come up with. Home on leave he doesn’t mind taking a little time out to help his best friend when asked, he minds even less after he sees who he needs to protect! Cade tries his hardest to keep the “keep your hands off” promise he made to his best friend but soon finds it is an impossibility with Lucia. She is the first women to ever make him want more than being a SEAL, more than his life as a confirmed bachelor. Lucia makes it clear from the start they only have one weekend together, after one night she starts to wonder if her plan was as thought out as she thought… How can these two keep their promises to themselves and each other when the heart get involved?
Sara Jane Stone wrote a fun, sexy book with many heart felt situations. I like that even with the lack of confidence in herself (for reasons you will learn) she still pushes herself out of her comfort zone. Making sure, she does what she wants not what people expect from her. This is a story with layers that you look forward to uncovering. Why does Lucia want to be someone else? Why is Cade so against being in a relationship? What molded them into the people they are? One of my favorites though, can they find a way to stop being stubborn and fighting the truth to be together? All are revealed and more, this book was given to me as an ARC copy from the Author. I will always give HONEST reviews and I know you will love this book. It is available for pre-order now and goes on sale 6/30/15!

The risk is worth it. Maybe that's the underlying theme for all romances. In real life, we each risk a lot by putting ourselves out there for that one person in hopes they reciprocate our feelings, in hopes there is more than just great sex and good times. Regardless of how we meet The One, the chance we take is worth what we gain.

I can't say the way Lucia and Cade met is unusual. Masquerades are one of my favorite settings. It's the chance to let loose without anyone knowing who you really are. But it's what the masks hide that make the characters and the story different from others.

Lucia's scars have kept her from so much because that's all people saw. Visiting Vegas was a break from her normal life, a chance to don a stunning gown and wear a concealing mask and be a braver version of herself. She hadn't counted on meeting Cade, on him seeing the beauty behind the scars, on him helping her see what he saw. She hadn't counted on losing her heart to man she just met who made her, for the first time in a long time, feel alive.

But Cade hadn't counted on those things either. Watching over Lucia was supposed to be a favor for a friend, and the woman he was supposed to watch over was supposed to be quiet and shy. The woman he met wasn't either of those things. Lucia was gorgeous, her beauty shining from the inside and obliterating the ugliness of the past she wore so plainly on her face. She didn't just steal his heart; she became his every fantasy brought to life.

Their relationship wasn't built on complete truths, and it took some working on to make the shaky foundation of their relationship solid. But the risks they took--Lucia in revealing herself to Cade, Cade coming clean about why he was in Vegas to begin with, both of them realizing what they shared was worth keeping--were worth it. They lost their hearts to each other and gained a love that was unconditional and all-consuming.

Worth it? *smiles* Definitely.

Lucia decides she is going to have it all just once. She is going to the masquerade ball in Vegas and she is going to find a man that will fulfill her list of fantasies. She is going to get everything she wants with no attachments. And it will all take place during her time limit. The only requirement he must fill, besides her fantasies, is to leave her mask on the whole time. She is hiding scars on her face that seem to make it impossible for her to have a normal life. This is her chance to have that.

Little does she know that her sister has sent her best friend and navy seal Cade Daniels to intercept her and keep her from picking up some stranger.

When Cade finds Lucia there is just one problem, he is so attracted to her that he knows he is not going to be able to keep his hands off her. This is not what his best friend had in mind.

As Cade and Lucia begin to fulfill her fantasy list he realizes he has placed himself in an impossible situation. And when he sees her without her mask and manages to make her realize it doesn't matter to him he knows he is in trouble. She will never believe the things he has said are true. She will think it was all due to his promise to her sister. And not only will he loose Lucia but he will loose his best friend too.

When Lucia's sister calls Cade after Lucia has sent her a text about her sexy seal and what they have done, well lets just say she isn't happy at all. But despite it all Cade knows he can not say no to Lucia.

This story is very fast paced and has plenty of steamy sex. The back stories of the two main characters explains the insecurities of both and was very well done by the author.

I really enjoy a romance especially when it involves a Navy Seal. In this one the author gives has a mission of a different kind that will be required. Cade has said to his best friend that he would keep her sister out of trouble while in Vegas. Oh what a mission especially in a city where trouble is around every corner. Lucia has decided to be daring and attend a masquerade ball, find a hot guy and do a special to do list. She has her reasons for daring to do this now with the mask being the perfect touch in order to be brave enough to do this. When he does meet up with her he does not have a clue on exactly how special she is with mask and all. He finds her equally hot and really knows what she wants. Once their dance begins as you are reading you will not be able to step away until you find out how their time together turns out. It will explode into something much bigger than her list and things will build into more than fantasies. He will want to accomplish everything on her list with some of his own she will do. Her sister though will find out more than protection happens and Lucia will find out who sent him. Derived great pleasure in how she put this one altogether with this different kind of mission with the greatest danger being them losing their hearts. Received a copy for a honest review.

To Tempt a SEAL is a love story that has been told many times! But in true Sara Jane Stone style, she has retold this story with such flair and feeling, you feel like it’s a story you have never heard before.
Lucia is in Las Vegas for two reasons; first for an art show and secondly, for a no holds bar fling. So when a man with a smooth as chocolate voice insists that he helps her with her list of passion, she is eager to accept.
Cade is in Vegas on a mission! Not a normal mission he is on when he is serving his country as a SEAL. This time he is on a mission for his best friend Natalie; to keep an eye on her estranged sister Lucia and make sure she doesn’t end up in a dangerous situation. But when Cade meets Lucia, he doesn’t expect to have this instant attraction to her, he also doesn’t expect to insist that he be the man to fulfill her post-it of passion.
But when things are omitted, will it destroy their time together and possibility other relationships.
This book was amazing! It not only kept me on the edge of my seat, but I also had to turn down the air conditioning, as it got a little steamy here. I loved every word in this book, even when I was crying (yep, I was totally mushy). I found the writing smooth, the plot without holes and it left me wanting to read Natalie’s story immediately!
I give To Tempt a SEAL 9 out of 10
