The novel is from a debut author and it's a solid 4 stars for me!!!! I enjoyed reading it and fell in love with the assortment of characters, except for one....you'll know which one when you come across him! That one I'll describe as a sniveling weasel...lol. This is the first in a Fantasy series and spice level was I'd say a 3 out of 5! Even though this is first in a series....there was no cliffhanger and can be read as a standalone. Oskia has a vision that shows a catastrophe will happen that will destroy kingdoms. So she brings her vision to the attention of the Bureau, an order that controls magic performed by powerful mages! And only they can stop this catastrophe. But the journey to preventing this catastrophe is not an easy road. Because some in the Bureau are too ambitious and have secrets and desires they wish to keep hidden!
