I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it that much either. Obviously, looking at other reviews, I’m in the minority here, but something about this just didn’t work for me. It really bothered me that we really don’t know that much about Ford - he has a baby (I don’t like babies, but that’s a me thing not a writing thing LOL), but we don’t find out definitively that it’s actually his niece until like 80%. It’s mentioned several times that he’s rich (and he has a Mercedes, two houses and three Nannies!!!) but…why is he rich? He’s a church choir director?! I also struggled with the random appearance of an abusive ex of a friend of Jude’s at the very very end, which somehow turns into a borderline threesome with our two MCs and said friend.
The spice for the most part was good though! Love a good age gap and daddy/boy dynamic. The side characters were fun, if a bit hard to keep up with.

Unlike the first book I read by this author (Knox's boy), this one wasn't repetitive with the scenes. It was so much better. But bringing a side character's abusive ex in for one chapter at 90% of the book felt unnecessary.
I'd also like to point out that it is not cumming or cum, it is coming or come! Cum is the fluid, come is the action.
Ford mentions that he's mostly retired (apart from choir directing) but he used to be into finance and investments. Explain to me how this man can afford 3 nannies, a penthouse, and a townhouse? Also how is he retired at 53?
I'll also admit that whenever the characters were texting, it was so difficult to differentiate between what's text messages and dialogue because they're formatted the same way. Made no sense to me and I did have to reread a few times.
Also for anyone wondering about the puppy play (it's not always for me) I'd say you barely see it. There's a flashback scene where Jude is in a cage and acting like a puppy in one chapter, and there's another scene about collars. But that's basically it.

Jude and Ford were meant for each other. Jude was the perfect bratty boy. And Ford made for a great reluctant daddy. And when these two met, it was so instant. I loved how Jude went from feeling down about not finding his person to seeing Ford and it was all he wrote. I fell in love with these two immediately. Yes Jude was overly bratty, but it was him and I loved it. And Ford, Omgosh, he was everything. I loved this story so much. These two stole my heart..

He has given up on everything when his life went down hill. He will never go there again so when they arrive into the club. They have so much on his plate and does not do chaos and he is chaos but somehow they are pulled together. See just where it will all go

His Holy Chaos follows Jude, a young man trying to rebuild his life after a painful past relationship left him emotionally broken and determined to stay away from both kink and anything resembling a serious connection. That plan falls apart when he meets Ford, a fifty-three-year-old man who seems to have his life completely under control.
Ford is disciplined, composed, and certain that a brat like Jude is the last thing he needs in his carefully structured life. But despite their differences, an unexpected connection develops between them. What begins with resistance and uncertainty slowly becomes a relationship built on trust, patience, devotion, and genuine care.
A major strength of the story is the way it explores a healthy D/s dynamic. Ford doesn't try to force Jude to heal or rush him into trusting again. Instead, their relationship gives Jude the safety and reassurance he needs to gradually work through his past, while Ford learns that allowing someone into his life doesn't mean giving up the structure and stability that define him.
The story also explores healing, emotional vulnerability, domestic discipline, family, and the idea that devotion can be a source of strength rather than weakness. Their journey includes plenty of banter, bratting, emotional angst, and romance, while watching both characters grow together makes their relationship particularly rewarding.
Jude seems so immature at times, it’s somewhat off-putting… Ford at times also seems like he doesn’t know what he wants, which is also annoying…

HIS HOLY CHAOS is the second book in the Daddy Knows Best series, but you can read it as a standalone, as the characters from book one don't appear here.
Jude is a brat recovering from a relationship breakup. It happened a year ago, but he is unable to move on. He is convinced by his friends to return to BratWorld for an evening. While there, he sees Ford and is intrigued. The feeling is mutual, but Ford doesn't do brats... does he?
The relationship between Ford and Jude is not a straight road, and it takes time. The buildup is slow, with both of them learning about the other. There is discipline, brattiness, healing, and devotion. They settle into their relationship without putting labels on it immediately, which I enjoyed.
While I enjoyed book one, this one didn't quite hit the mark for me. I had plenty of questions by the end that just weren't answered. It's a long book that could have been shortened. There are also a couple of scenes right at the end that didn't quite fit with the rest of the story. The final one, at BratWorld, I was expecting. Too much had been mentioned throughout the book for that not to happen. But the one with Alfie? That came out of nowhere, and I can't really say it did anything for me or added to the story.
This was a good read, but it just didn't tick many boxes for me. 3 out of 5 good stars.

I have to say after getting past the part in the beginning where it was back and forth with Ford saying there was no future for them, I really enjoyed this book. The pain that Jude goes through with his self-hate was so sad to read. I loved the first meeting of Jude and Ford at the club BratWorld. Sounds like a fun club to go to. I loved Ford's daughter Angel. She was a great part of the story. The bonding that Jude goes through with Angel was so beautifully written. Ford just figured his life would be as he planned, in order. He is a choir director. He doesn't do Brats. But oh, does that change after the back and forth and Ford realizes that Jude needs him? Jude is full of so much pain and hate, and Ford just wants to show him that he is a special man to him and his daughter. I do have to read the future books in this series for sure.

Jude's life seems to fall apart in the aftermath of his daddy/boy dynamic ending sourly and he swears off kink and daddies and is determined to put it behind him and look ahead. That is until he meets the must older, but very hard to not notice, Ford. Jude feels drawn to him despite being weary and maybe Ford feels the same but he's in charge of his choir, had a daughter to raise and definitely has no times for a brat. But it seems like that isn't enough to keep Jude at arm's length no matter how much they both try. But there's something there refusing to be ignored and slowly their walls come down as their dynamic blossoms into more than sex and discipline but intimacy and realizing that what they thought was right for them isn't totally right until they meet each other and stop denying how they feel about each other. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I love a kink relationship and the author depicted that beautifully here with Jude and Ford. They gained each other's trust and better yet earned it. Their reservations made them take things slow but it didn't stay that way. This was a great addition to the series and I'm excited for more from this series and this author.

I wouldn't necessarily call Jude a brat. He's a bit broken and resisting the entire kink scene after a relationship goes sour. A much older Daddy dom, Ford, sees a boy out of control. A boy that he wants but shouldn't. He can offer Jude a controlled, disciplined relationship. But will he take it?
Patience leads to trust. And then to caring. In really good BDSM books, the phrase "Safe, sane and consensual" is used. In "Chaos", it's demonstrated throughout. Both mains learn about themselves. Jude heals under Ford's care, Ford realizes that letting the other man in completes, rather than disrupts his life. I rather liked their service/domestic discipline lifestyle.
Kink lifestyles often move fast. But the romance and relationship here is slow burn. A thoughtfully sweet read.

I was introduced to Roan through the book *Knox's Boy*. That book was beautiful.
Because of that, my expectations for this book were very high.
Roan has surpassed them; OMG, what a fantastic book this is.
It is full of emotions, and as a reader, you will experience them too. The dynamic between the two main characters is described so beautifully. How open they are with each other and how they care for one another. How you can leave your past behind when you have someone by your side who supports and protects you.
The supporting characters are also part of the dynamic. I hope they will also get a book of their own; they deserve it.
After these two books, Roan Solano is definitely on my list of favorite authors.

This was another sweet, fun, entertaining read by Roan Solano. I wouldn't necessarily put this in the dark romance category, though there are some dark themes and topics I overall got a more hurt/comfort heartwarming feel with likable characters. I enjoyed the dynamic between Ford and Jude. They age gap worked as well as the Daddy/brat + grumpy/sunshine relationship. For as grumpy as Ford was at the beginning, he really turned out to be a real big softie cinnamon roll Daddy. And I really loved Jude's chaotic ball of sunshine total bratty gremlin persona. They were fun and sweet together.
Overall, it was a feel-good MM romance with some kinky D/s spice that wasn't too OTT and easy to read.

This is a sweet, angsty romance with so much hurt but just about enough comfort for the hurt (though I wouldn't have minded a bit more angst for Everett even if he was honest with Jude).
Jude has been heartbroken by a relationship he gave everything to, even though the man he was with admitted he wasn't in it as much. But feelings don't conveniently line up with that, so Jude is extremely sad over his ex. Then he meets Ford, a man who says Jude isn't his type. Being a little bit self destructive, Jude goes after Ford. Then he finds the man is very sweet and has a baby (his niece) that he is raising. Slowly, Ford puts Jude back together and they find each other is who they have been looking for. Lovely spice and intriguing ending.

I don’t even know why the kid was included because she doesn’t get mentioned at all for a good chunk of the book. He doesn’t do brats but genuinely seems to enjoy Jude’s chaos.
Jude - so devastated by a two year relationship that he swears off kink and just isolates himself and gets drunk a lot? I kind of liked his bratty character but the longer the book goes the less cute it all is. Book 1 had the same issue, they’re just too long imo.

His holy chaos is the story of Jude and Ford. Jude has a trying year; his last relationship ended badly and took him out of his element. He lost his community, his friends and his sense of self. On his first night back in his community, he meets Ford who is a balm to his chaos. Ford is wary of Jude. His life is orderly and Jude is out of control. But they can’t resist each other. Ford helps guide Jude in putting himself back together and in doing so it gives his life a wonder that he wasn’t prepared for. This was a really good book that I would definitely recommend. *I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily left my review.

I still loved this book, eventhough I thought the first book was better (or maybe not the first book, but I'm referring to Knox' boy). These to really are the weirdest combination at first glance

I picked this one up because in the blurb, it said Ford didn't do brats and I have to admit bratty characters can be a very hard sell for me and I wanted to see if this author could make me view them in a different way and begin to appreciate their appeal more. Jude definitely superficially fit the "brat" label, but was very much more than that. His life has not allowed him to build a strong sense of self-esteem and the author clearly shows the reason for his acting out. Turns out Ford is the perfect person to help him find the strength within himself that he needs to believe he deserves love and caring. I definitely enjoyed this one.

I typically do not go for daddy/boy stories but this one worked and it worked because it had depth and complexity to the story. Jude is truly a brat that has shut out the world but trying to get his life back on track. Ford is opposite-confident and has his life seemingly together. I love this book allowed both me to accept what they wanted and to do so at their own pace, I,e Dom and Sub. What really resonated was it is a story about overcoming pain, loving and accepting oneself, and defining family as you need. Reminds us to be true to ourselves and follow the path you need to get there.

I enjoyed it
I liked how grief was painted in so many hues. Ford is grieving his sister, and how that loss affects him and Angel. Jude grieves what he thought he had, what he gave, and what he never received, and it’s something that brings them together. They both deal with it very differently, but that commonplace I think is what allows Ford to look at Jude and not see just a brat, but someone deeply hurt, someone worth his time and love. And it was good to see them grow into the relationship, and growing into being better as individuals, and better together.

They both deal with it very differently, but that commonplace I think is what allows Ford to look at Jude and not see just a brat, but someone deeply hurt, someone worth his time and love. And it was good to see them grow into the relationship, and growing into being better as individuals, and better together.

His Holy Chaos by Roan Solano had things I liked and things I didn’t really care for. I loved book 1 so I was looking forward to reading this book. Jude and Ford seem like an odd pairing, but there are things that work well. I didn’t really care for the lack of details about Ford nor the scene near the end with Ford, Jude, and the friend. Not my cup of tea. I would still recommend for people who enjoy Daddy romances, but I did enjoy book 1 a lot more.

This author is new to me and this is the second book in the series. I have not read the first yet, and this was easily read as a standalone
I really enjoyed story
I loved Jude’s roommate Noa and the relationship that they had. I felt emotionally connected to Jude as well as Ford. But something about Jude pulled at my heartstrings, I cried for him while he lived through past hurts
The chemistry between the two MC’s was well built
This author is new to me and this is the second book in the series. I have not read the first yet, and this was easily read as a standalone

I wanted to really love this book but I wasn’t the biggest fan. I think I just wanted a bit more to the story. The spice is great but the spice can only take you so far sometimes. Somehow ford is like stupid Rich with Nannie’s and a Mercedes but he is a choir director….
It was a very spicy story though so if you don’t care for plot maybe it’s for you.

If anyone was going to be able to give Jude back his confidence in himself and his choices it was Ford. Although reluctantly at first Ford was sure he didn't want a brat. He has enough going on in his life. It's a well written story, with great characters and I enjoyed every page. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Loved this read. Great story of a reluctant Dom and a damaged, impetuous brat. So much tension and tenderness, discipline and devotion. An entertaining story with just enough spice . My first read from this author and looking forward to the next!

Wow what a fantastic story. Your going to fall in love with these characters. The author gave us such a beautiful story for these two. It's going melt your heart. This book was so we'll written. I really hope the author gives us more books just like this one..

I don't care what anybody says I absolutely love this book. Daddy knows best series by Roan Solano to me is one of the best series. I'm a huge mm romance with Daddies and this book hit the spot! I cannot wait to see what comes next because this was absolutely amazing.

I wasn’t so keen on Jude initially. Way too bratty for my liking. I did like Ford though right away. It was funny how Ford was brought sort of unwillingly to the club by Dave, not knowing that he was going to meet his special person. I loved the kink and I loved how Roan Solano brought them through the ups and downs until we see how the relationship will eventually bloom.
