The Halls of Magic: Volume 5: A Fantasy Adventure for Men

Rate this book
The end is here.

After freeing all five aspects of magic, it finally feels like I have the family I longed for. Sure, most of us are banned from local restaurants and retail establishments, but the real point is that I am truly happy for the first time in my life.

However, we are still being hunted by the world's most powerful people. It's only a matter of time before they find us. We have to figure out how to steal the source of magic itself from right under their leader's nose. With an entire army of mages standing between us and our goals, it surely can't get any worse, right? Right?

It's going to take unlikely allies, impossible bravery, and a truly reckless amount of smashing spells together to make it happen.

It's time for my final lesson. I just wish I wasn't self-taught.

Perfect for fans of LitRPG harem fantasy, found-family magic with real stakes, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers dynamics, and dungeon-crawl adventures that keep adding on the danger.

I enjoyed this five-book series. The ending didn't disappoint. Since there is a bit of time between books it was nice that there was an option to have a review of everything that happened before in the previous books. It felt like I hit the ground running when I started reading.
The ultimate goal is to free magic. I still remember when they finally found the remains of Jake's mother and were able to talk to the source of magic. It had become self-aware as it had talked with Jake's mother who was trapped and slowly starved to death. All of Jake's mothers' thoughts were of her son, as such the source of magic had done something special to Jake making him different from all other mages. It was this that allowed Jake to free the aspects of magic. There were some touching parts to the story. Quite a few battles as things got desperate as the keeper of records pushes the other houses to find Jake and stop him.

Five Stars! Great ending for a great series.

I love the adventures of Jake and the five aspects of magic in the Halls of magic. I really enjoy the imaginative setting of the Halls of Magic and the story book monsters that Jake encounters as he builds the magic and strength needed to rescue the magic. I love the relationships he develops with the aspects and magicians in his journey. I love the action scenes. I love the steamy open door scenes. Highly recommend the book, the series and the authors!

This book was a strong conclusion to a really excellent series. Both authors should be very proud of what they produced.

The 5 aspects/LIs were fun. The plot really moved along in each of the books. The last book was 621 pages long, and yet felt like it went by in a blur that held my attention away from most distractions.

There were only a handful of errors in the book, mostly just weird typos, and one really whacky copy/paste error that made zero sense.

The authors mention they will do another collaboration. If they do, I'll be eager to read it.

At great deal happens

Alternate universe, save magic, leveling, harem adult situations

I know the authors were both hoping the series would be popular enough that they could explore more about this strange world they'd made. Nonetheless, they have presented a satisfactory ending to the story. Saying much of anything might result in spoilers. Excellent editing, and nearly seven hundred pages of story for your entertainment. Enjoyed.
