Enemies of the heart have the longest memories of all. Danielle Morgan's life has just been thrown to the wolves. After her less than legal company comes after her for unknown reasons, she flees into the city, calling upon the only place she knows of for help: Her company's most hated rival. Curvy and strong willed, the last thing she is ready to do is surrender.
Betrayed and left for dead by his former employer, athletic, gorgeous and wildly successful Dylan Reins has risen from the ashes to create an extremely successful security firm. He left everything in the past, including, he thought, the ability to love. In his business, those he gets close to often end up injured, or worse. It has always been better for him to simply never open that part of his heart.
When Dylan receives a frantic phone call begging for help, he can't help but answer. As their paths intertwine, Danielle finds that even in the direst of situations, her heart still flutters when she meets the gorgeous man who may be the only person in the world able to help her. For Dylan, this new woman in his life is opening up doors he thought long closed within him.
Can the budding love between the two of them withstand a visit from Dylan's past? Or will their bond betray them, providing the opening their enemies seek?
This is a 15,000+ word STANDALONE novella, with NO CLIFFHANGER. This was first published as 'Bear Trap', the book has not changed.
**ARC for honest review*** This was a very short read maybe a hour or two. This was a rushed novel, the plot was good but I wish it had more detail to it and I think it would have been a better novel.
