The book was EXTREMELY repetitive to the point where I was literally reading the same paragraph every couple pages throughout the entire book. I truly think this book could’ve been a couple chapters (novella) and gotten the same character development, plot, and results. I truly had to force myself to finish this book. I really don’t know how it has so many five star reviews to be honest. 🤷🏼♀️😭

Just painfully slow and drawn out for no reason. All 4 of them had potential but I couldn’t get past all of their whiny “nobody loves me” attitudes. Had to DNF at 72% because I just couldn’t do it anymore.

All she wanted was to bake. And her lemon tarts were her best thing! Well atleast that’s what her aunt said in the book she left behind. A book with instructions on how to run the town festival and survive it. What she didn’t have a manual for was the three hunky firemen across the street who put out literal fires for a living, but kept leaving her blazing hot after every interaction.
Once she understand the full “aspects” of her Omega status she learns that it’s not actually uncommon at all in Ember Hollow for packs to have multiple men, to one little woman!
The personalities of each Alpha makes the pack even more unique.
Rhett comes with his quickness and his love to make other laugh,
Cal with his over protective vibes and then sweet Eli who is like the golden retriever if you will (every pack needs one hush) they all three bring a balance to the chaos that is Wrens new life.
Question is, will Wren accept it or will she continue to fight the undeniable pull she has for each of her Alphas!

What happens when your aunt leaves you a bakery across the road from the fire station? The last thing you’d expect to happen would be to present as an omega. At 28! And you have no idea what happens in a heat. Or why those firemen smell so good …
All Wren wanted to do was have a quiet life, just baking away and no one to owe anything to. She didn’t account for the alphas who smell like hers. She wasn’t prepared for the town to keep being there, getting her involved with things, helping her without expecting anything in return, and generally just getting in her way! Why can’t everyone just leave her alone?!?!

A sweet heartwarming read. Baker - Wren takes over the bakery that she's been left just looking for a quiet life. Only things don't go according to plan with the addition of 3 hot firefighters - Cal, Rhett & Eli. All of which carried their own backstories that have shaped who they are. For me it was how they opened up to this relationship together with all of their anxieties that I found endearing. I loved this book. It was a great read and im looking forward to getting my hands on more books in this series in the future.

A baker and her patient firemen next door.
This book was super cute! I loved learning about each of the characters and their backstory. The guys were super patient with Wren the Omega. I liked how, yes they were a scent match, they felt that she was the missing scent that felt complete. I don’t know if I’m explaining this right. I feel like sometimes for a pack the Omega is a smell they didn’t see coming. This book the pack knew what smell they were looking for. It hit different and felt more to me.

Knot on Fire by Eve Newton immediately pulled me in. I’m a sucker for romance, especially omegaverse, but add in a small-town romance with hot firefighters and I was hooked. I was all over this book like a cat with catnip. 😂
I really enjoyed how we were introduced to the characters. Wren is the new woman in town, taking over her aunt’s bakery that just happens to be right next to the fire station. Then we meet Cal, one of the firefighters, followed by Rhett and Eli. Eli is the prime alpha of their little pack, but Rhett was definitely my favorite.
Rhett’s personality completely stole the show for me. His sense of humor was one of the highlights of the book. When someone worried he’d fall while rescuing a cat from a tree, he confidently replied that he’d simply “descend dramatically.” It was such a Rhett thing to say, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
I also really liked Wren as a character. I enjoyed that she wasn’t completely oblivious to the fact that she wanted all three alphas. She’s always been the sensible one, so it was fun watching her navigate feelings that didn’t exactly fit the life she thought she was supposed to have.
One thing that really stood out to me was the world-building. In Ember Hollow, it’s normal for omegas to have a pack of alphas because the entire town is built around packs. I thought that was such a cool and unique addition to the omegaverse genre. I’ve read quite a few omegaverse romances, but I haven’t come across many where pack dynamics are such an important part of the town itself.
Overall, I really enjoyed this cozy small-town omegaverse romance and I’m definitely interested in spending more time in Ember Hollow.

dnf at 64% (should have done it way waay sooner)
I will preface this with I hate being a hater, and very rarely dnf (I will usually suffer through books, even if they are bad). I would never go out of my way to write a negative review on somebody's work, but I couldn't not say anything about this book. Let me begin by saying that I love a good omegaverse book, and the premise of this book seemed very cute and right up my alley. However, that's not what this book was, at all.
The issues started from the first chapter. The writing was choppy, and incredibly repetitive, certain paragraphs felt like they were re-written but said exactly the same thing as a few before that. I had to double check if they were actually different from what I have already written before. Comparisons made throughout the book made no sense with the overall context. Sentence structure was poor, to the point where I had to reread some a few times, and was still confused by the wording. The four POVs were incredibly lacking. When the chapter from a character's POV would roll around (especially the MMCs), a good chunk of the chapter just kept repeating the same stuff the character said or thought in their previous chapter.
To be honest, I am not even sure what would save this book. To say it's just down to some much needed editing would be cutting it a lot of slack.

Wren for all her life has built walls so that she could walk away leaving nothing behind because she was afraid to want or ask for anything. When Aunt Marigold dies and leaves her the bakery in a small town, Wren goes because she thinks she wants a quiet life. She has her Aunt's recipes, a sourdough starter, the shop, and the apartment. She has a safe and quiet life as a beta, until she finds out she is a late blooming Omega! What do you think is going to happen when the three alpha firemen right across from her shop, Cal, Rhett and the Eli the prime of the pack and they all have their walls and fears. The story was so cute as they help her through her first heat and then how they finally had to let the walls down and accept their fears and for the first time life reach for the brass ring!

This book was a revolving door of existential dread and refusal to be happy caused by trauma and the “I’ll leave before they leave me” argument over and over again while they learn to break down their walls and be themselves. They had to learn that who they are is enough and that they don’t need to pretend or hide behind masks or walls to be safe. Add in your traditional omegaverse spice and heat to break up the EXCESSIVE internal monologue. The ending was sweet but I didn’t really enjoy it until the 80% mark, and it felt really long. Not my cup of tea but it showed real character development and learning how to accept love, so great lessons but I just disliked the super jaded FMC so it kinda ruined it for me.

This book really embodies what small town living is really like. Everyone knows your business, and there's always that one person who has no problem inserting themselves into your business.
This book was slow moving, and I felt like Wren really clung to her self conceived notions alot longer than she should've.
Cal, Eli and Rhett all have their own hurts and broken pieces and it makes them very relatable.
It is spicy when the action happens and I'm here for it. Once Wren got out of her own way, the rest of the book moved quickly. I really can't wait to read the next book in the series!

This story started out with so much promise but unfortunately fell quite short. There was alot of repetition to the point that 50% of the words could be cut from this book and you wouldn't loose any detail. There were multiple inconsistencies mixed throughout that took me out of the story. An example is when one MMC called the fmc a nickname that only one other mmcs called her. There were alot plot holes that never seemed to be addressed. Two of the MMCs became almost the same character by the end of the book. I think this book has a ton of potential but could use with a heavy edit. I will say that the ending was very sweet.

This could easily have been half as long. There's a good idea here, it's just that the execution is so belaboured, it's worn down until it starts to fray. I read this one because I wanted to read book 2 and thought I should start at the beginning, but I don't know if I'll bother now.

If you love a small town cozy read then you will enjoy this. Wren just wants a quiet life and bake. But when she presents as an omega do things turn fun for us and her. With hot fireman across the street and a heat that takes her breath away. This book willnhave you laugh. I enjoyed getting to know Wren and her three alphas. And a town that just is different. What a great read to start the day. Eve gives us so many great worlds to get sucked into that I just couldn't put it down. One of my favorites.

Cozy love story
If you love a cozy OV love story, then this is book for you. Ember Hollow is a small town that almost minds its own business, but not quite. They let you be, but cheer you on.
Now, for the couple...they are all perfectly broken in their own way, and if they can just get out of their own head they can all see just how perfectly imperfect they are for each other. The guys figured it out, kinda of....now for the missing piece.
It does have a HEA....and heat

Eve is my favorite Mafia why choose and I was excited to jump into this book. And it did not disappoint.
If you ever felt like you didn’t belong, and afraid to say the hard things. This book will be for you. The slow burn, but always peeking through romance. The small town, the swoony MMCs. The inevitable small town romance and everyone is involved. Everyone.

DNF at 85% and probably skipped over a good portion of the last 30% of that. So many inconveniences, where are the fire house and bakery located? Across the street from each other? Across an alley? Sharing a wall? Never the same. Also the inner monologue was so repetitive and long like just get to some of the point! Also all of them have the exact same fears holing them back come on let’s get some variety.

Yeah that is right I am on fire after reading this book! The hotness of Cal, Eli, and Rhett..phew I need a fan! Then you add Wren and then I needed a fire extinguisher...you will love this book, so go read it...why are you still reading go read it now before it catches fire!

I adore cozy sweet Omegaverse books. Loved reading about Wren. She happens to be a baker. Then add in some hot firefighters and this made my day. Loved the storyline. Couple parts made me giggle. Loved the settings for this book. Over all I just really enjoyed this book. The characters, this whole book I just simply loved. Definitely recommend reading.

Wow what a read!!!
This was the best comfort read this year!!!! I am so glad Eve is doing omegaverse again! This has everything that I needed to mentally and physically melt. I was in all the feels while reading this!! The MMCs were pure perfection with a dash of more. The FMC was lovable, which is hard to find sometimes. Really loved this book!!

repetitive
It’s a sweet cozy book, I think I’ve read the same twenty lines at least fifty times though. A lot of repeating in this one, which just feels like filler to meet a word count. After you’ve heard the same line more then ten times, it starts to lose its flourish and comes off not as sincere or meaningful.

5 ⭐ for the 1st half, 3 ⭐ for the second.
Beautifully written. I felt like I deeply knew 4 characters and their angst and longing gave me that actual feeling in the chest. Along the way it got repetitive and felt like it was being padded.
BUT, it's rare to find a reverse harem where at least 2 of them aren't just window dressing. She done good.

Oh this story was amazing
Wren is smart independent and a dang good baker. Eli, Cal and Rhett are my new favorite men.
I love how they needed her total consent. A lot of omegaverse books glass over that, but these men needed her full yes.
It was a nice fluffy read, kept me up all night while i was waiting to see what happened!

Oh my lanta, I really needed something sweet after a rough couple of busy and hectic weeks, and this gave me such a cozy vibe I didn’t want to leave. I loved the characters, and the pacing of their story was just chef’s kiss perfect—exactly what I needed!

Ondanks de idioot slechte vertaling (tenenkrommend op sommige momenten, haar volgende boeken lees ik mooi in het Engels) geef ik het toch vijf sterren. Ik ben meermaals mijn omgeving vergeten tijdens het lezen. Wees wel gewaarschuwd, de smut is ontzettend aan het smutten
