The sexiest, most mysterious Burke brother of all peels back his stage persona to reveal the real man—and the rock-hard body—behind the rockstar in the banging fourth book from New York Times bestselling author Emma Hart’s hot new adult series that began with Dirty Past, Dirty Secret, and Dirty Lies.

After witnessing an endless string of late nights, long tours, and eager groupies her world-famous father could never resist, Chelsey Young knows the dirty truth behind the glamorous façade of the rockstar life. Which is exactly why she takes hot as hell guitarist Kye Burke to bed when he decides he wants her.

One night. That’s how rockstars roll.

Unless your name is Kye Burke. The quietest of all his brothers, Kye’s style has never really been pumping and dumping, so pursuing Chelsey isn’t a hard choice for him. The hard part is keeping hold of the girl who’s hotter than the Sahara one minute then so cold even Antarctica wouldn’t touch her the next…despite the fact that they can’t stay away from each other.

The fact that he’s about to leave for L.A. to record the newest Dirty B. album doesn’t work in his favor, either. A long-distance relationship is the reason Chelsey’s parents divorced, and she’s sworn them off. Completely. Forever. No way.

Kye has two weeks to prove to Chelsey that he isn’t the kind of man her father is. She has two weeks to convince him that it’s never going to happen. But Kye didn’t get where he is by giving up…and even if it’s the fight of his life, there’s no way he’s giving Chelsey up.

So if you are fan of the The Burke Brothers Series like myself then you would have known the last remaining single Burke brother is none other than Kye, the quiet and sweet brother. And this time, Kye Burke will show us why sweet guys can definitely get the girl. Kye may be the quiet, sweet, and nice brother but he will show readers that he has some dirty tricks up his sleeve in order to get the girl he loves.

#DirtyTricks1

Kye Burke knows that he can get any girl he wants. You can ask the millions of fans that he has. As one of the sexiest guitarist of Dirty B, Kye has set his sights on Chelsey Young. After one drunken night of passion and hot sex, Kye wanted to know more of Chelsey. He was addicted to her. But the problem was that Chelsey didn't want a repeat. And so, Kye does what he does best, he charms his way into her life until she finally relents to go out on a date with him.

 photo 56b26a587c333a0b345f2cb844074b_zps5ioes2m5.gif “The only thing I have full recollection of is the fact that Kye Burke can lick pussy like a champ.”

That one night with Kye Burke will forever be ingrained in Chelsey's mind. She couldn't forget the way he tasted and made her feel so alive. As much as she wanted to forget what happened between her and Kye, Chelsey couldn't and Kye makes that very difficult as he pursues her nonstop. As much she tries to deny their sexual attraction for one another, Chelsey knew getting involved with a rockstar is TROUBLE because she knew first hand what it did to her family.

 photo ec5460e4d1b3145025adafface7b3e_zps3e0ywvja.gif “I want it all. I want all of her. I want it so fucking badly that I can feel the craving digging into me, planting its seeds and growing its roots. It lodges itself in something deeper than my heart. It buries itself into my goddamn fucking soul and begs for her.”

Chelsey's father was rockstar royalty in the 80s and 90s and she saw firsthand what the rockstar lifestyle entails. She saw her father destroy her mother when he cheated on her and Chelsey didn't want any part of that and so she tried to stay away from Kye. But Kye didn't give up till Chelsey could finally see that this thing between them is something that can't go away. So will Kye show Chelsey that not all rockstars are like her father?

 photo ec5460e4d1b3145025adafface7b3e_zps3e0ywvja.gif “I want to fucking own every part of her. She sure as shit owns every part of me. ”

 photo 56b26a587c333a0b345f2cb844074b_zps5ioes2m5.gif “Being with Kye Burke, loving him, would mean fighting for him every day. Fighting for the relationship we could have. The happiness and the laughter and the ease I feel whenever he walks into a room and smiles at me. Because that’s it, isn’t it? That’s all it took. Him to walk in this morning and smile at me. Is that fight worth it? Is he worth it? Without a doubt.”

The chemistry of Kye and Chelsey was tangible and palpable from the start. I absolutely loved Kye and his sweet personality. The man deserves a medal from all the whiplash that Chelsey had him endured with her on and off personality. I loved that Emma Hart showcase a major character growth in Chelsey as she discovers and learns that not every rocker is a cheater and most importantly to let love in. I love that Kye Burke showed Chelsey what it means to love and find a home in each other.

 photo 56b26a587c333a0b345f2cb844074b_zps5ioes2m5.gif “It’s because his kiss says a thousand things and promises each and every one of them with a ferocity words could only dream of. It’s because his kiss is so fucking consuming.”

Dirty Tricks was the perfect conclusion of this series. I am so happy that each of the Burke brothers finally found their special someone.Emma Hart worked her "dirty" magic as she spellbinds readers to fall in love with Conner, Tate, Aiden and Kye. The road to love may have began with a Dirty Past, Dirty Secret, Dirty Lies and Dirty Tricks but in the end there is nothing dirty about being loved by a Burke brother. So if you are looking for a book that perfectly weaves romance, heart, family, friendship, humor, banter, and love then I highly recommend you to read this series.

5 'Tricks' Stars!

description When the Burke boys love, they love with everything they have and are. When the Burke boys love, they love forever.”

I a HUGE FAN of the Burke Brother Series and if you like myself are one as well then you know that Dirty Tricks is about the last remaining brother Kye Burke, the sweetest, quietest and possibly the kindest of them all.

Okay. Scratch that last part. Kye may be sweet, quiet, kind and a gentleman but what goes behind those closed doors... He definitely had some really 'dirty tricks' up his sleeve. Uh-huh. Totally get your head in the gutter.

description The only thing I have full recollection of is the fact that Kye Burke can lick pussy like a champ.”

Pfft! Told you to get your head in the gutter, didn't I? The Burke Brothers could have any girl they want but when they set their sights on one girl, any other girl in the vicinity can forget that they will even glance at them, forget second glances. When Kye sets his eyes on Chelsey Young, there is no going back.

One-night stands. We all know how well they work for our heroes. After one night with Chelsea, Kye was hooked.
He wanted a repeat. She didn't.
He chased. She ran.
But, once a Burke decides he wants something he goes after it. Kye charms his way to into Chelsey's life and persuades her to go on a date with him.

Kye couldn't get Chelsey out of his mind. Chelsey would do anything to forget him.

Chelsey growing up with a rockstar father saw first hand what a rockstars life entailed. She saw him rip apart his family when he cheated on her mother and left her. From then on, she decided that whatever happens she will NEVER fall for a rockstar.

description Your hand is perfect because your fingers fit between mine just right…. Just like you fit me.”
“Perfection is overrated.”
“Maybe. But maybe so many people fail to find it that they never really appreciate perfection for what it is: imperfection perfectly appreciated.”

description Being with Kye Burke, loving him, would mean fighting for him every day.

Like any other couple, Kye and Chelsey had their ups and downs which were prompted by them rather than the outside world.

Emma started the book with a bang from the first page. When I say bang think firewroks, instant chemistry, sparks flying. They were HOT when apart but SIZZLED when together.

Kyle Burke was absolutely swoon worthy! He was literally PERFECT! He was so sweet and understanding with just the right amount of assertiveness where Chelsey was concerned. I just wanted to bring him out of the book and cuddle with him! 'Le Sigh!

After finishing the last page of the book it was a bittersweet feeling. I was so happy that all the four Burke Brothers found their cliche. You know the perfect happy-ever-after. But closing on that last chapter I was sad that the anticipation for the next book to come out wouldn't there anymore. These boys and their significant others were so easy to fall in love with and you just couldn't choose which one was the best of them all.

The journey of love started with the youngest and my favorite brother Conner in Dirty Secret and moved onto the manwhores Tate in Dirty Past and Aiden in Dirty Lies and finally to the sweetest of them all, Kye in Dirty Tricks but let me tell you, there was nothing DIRTY about the love they share with their ladies and the most adorable book baby ever, Mila. She is such a sweetheart!

I will definitely recommend this series to everyone!

description It doesn’t matter, babe. It doesn’t matter how many goddamn fuckin’ miles are between us,, because I’m gonna love you for every mile I travel away from you and toward you. I’m so in love with you right now that you could be hopping on a rocket to Mars One and I’d still love you for every second of my life that’s left.I love you. Doesn’t fuckin’ matter how far away from you I am. I’m gonna love the hell outta you anyway.”

Please note: We had two reviewers read and enjoy this book, and our star rating is an approximate average of the two. That's books, right?

We finally get the last Burke Brothers story --> Kye Burke… And boy, was he different from the rest of his brothers, but in a good way! Unlike his brothers, Kye has never been the kind to love and dump them. In reading his story, he's the one that has always thought about his actions first and what a breath of fresh air that was. I could tell he was the more emotional one and less "slutty" one.

The one night he shared with Chelsey has ruined other woman for him. Now all he has to do is make Chelsey see that if she would just give them a chance, they would be perfect for each other. I loved Kye's persistence and patience...now that is a man worth throwing out all your negative views out the window for!!!

Chelsey, on the other hand, thinks she knows Kye's type—different woman in every town, not the settling kind and so on—all because of her rock star father's actions. I so wanted to smack some common sense into Chelsey COUNTLESS.TIMES. Mainly because she was judging Kye on to his profession, and the way her father treated her and her mother.

Kye, the ever so patient Burke brother, made sure to show her how much she meant to him, how far he was willing go and what he was willing to do to show her he would never be like her father. It's true what they say…

"When the Burke boys love, they love with everything they have and are. When the Burke boys love, they love forever."

I’ve loved all the Burke Brothers but Kye has to be my Top Favorite One, hands down! I’m sad to see this series end but maybe, just maybe, Emma will surprise us with a novella on what the future has in store for these sexy rockers! ~ Kara, 5 Stars

~~~
Since Dirty Secret, I've been impatiently waiting for Kye’s book. There was just something about the quiet, sexy guitarist that spoke to me. And while Dirty Tricks may not have been perfect, I still greatly enjoyed it…and fell even more in love with shy Kye.
After struggling a little—okay, a lot—with Dirty Lies, I went into this book with a fair bit of apprehension. I had high expectations for Kye and all I wanted was to hold onto my affection for him. And I did, most definitely. Although I occasionally found him to be a touch contradictory (and had hoped for more on his friendship with Sofie), I really loved him. He was sweet, kind and had one hell of sexy mouth on him. Add to that the gentle but persistent way he pursued Chelsey—so sure and true—and you've got a rock star that can bring you to your knees. He was an alpha with a soft center, a healthy ego and, apparently, an incredible cock. What more does a girl need?
However, I struggled a little with Chelsey. It's not that I didn't like her, because more often than not, I did. She was supposedly a bitch, but I didn't necessarily feel that…most of the time. But when she was a bitch? She was TOO much of one for my tastes. She went too far beyond sassy and fiery, which was the same concern I had with Jessie in the previous book, and she bordered on unlikeable. There were mentions of prior actions—justifications for calling her a bitch—that went unfulfilled, which left me questioning why she would act that way, and why anyone would forgive her for it.
I would also have liked to see Ms. Hart move away from some plot choices that echoed the previous books too greatly, and to move her explanation for the boys departure to earlier in the book so I didn't get quite so annoyed with them for not just sacking up and using their status to get their way—it was just a little too late for me to buy it completely. Beyond that, though, I thought she did an excellent job of giving foundation to Chelsey’s hurt from her relationship with her father, and justifying her behavior towards Kye as a consequence.
There were some truly fun and funny, sweet and sexy moments in Dirty Tricks. Mila was, as always, a total sweetheart and great comic relief. The banter between Chelsey and Kye was excellent and helped keep the book moving. The sexy times were panty-melting good. And the brothers? Well, they were delicious and I love them. Kye most of all.
And that ending. Perfect. As the final book—I assume—in this series (although…Leila, come on!), Ms. Hart did a fantastic job of updating us on all the Burke Brothers and the women they love, and it left my heart happy and soaring high. I do love to know that old favorites are in a good place—and this place? Couldn't have been better or more appropriate. And, in the end, that made my impatient wait for MY Kye worth it. ~ Beth, 3.5 stars
~ 5 Betty Boop and Joey Stars ~
" They're relentless, sure, but they're respectful. They're forceful but sweet. And, by God, they can be the biggest pains in the a$$ I've ever met, but when they love….When the Burke boys love, they love with everything they have and are. When the Burke boys love, they love forever."….Sophie
I think Sophie summed up the Burke Brothers perfectly with that statement!!!
I have fallen in love with all the Burke boys since they were all introduced to me in Book 1…. Dirty Secret. Each of the brothers and stories have gotten better than the one before it. I honestly have to say that I think Kye is my favorite Burke of them all. (of course besides Mila)
This book was bittersweet for me, because I couldn't wait to read about Kye and Chelsey, but I am also really sad to see them go. This is the last book in the Burke Brother's series and I will miss each and every one of these characters. With each book, all these characters have gotten under my skin more and more and I know I will have to read these books again in the future to get my fill. Emma has created a cast of characters in this series that stick with you well after you have finished reading the book. I love that each of the characters are so relatable and you just can't help but fall in love with them and want to be in their circle of friends. As with the other books, I loved the storyline of this book. It had some funny times, happy times, times I wanted to throw my kindle and of course sexy times. It kept my attention all the way through. I really had a hard time putting this book down. I couldn't get enough of sweet Kye Burke and Sassy Chelsey.
As you can see, this book is about Kye and Chelsey. Kye is Aiden's twin brother and a guitarist in Dirty B. Chelsey is the best friend of Sophie, Ella, Jessie and Leila (Burke boys sister) She has known these boys for many years. She is physically attracted to Kye but is also determined to stay away from him. Well that doesn't work for Kye, since he is determined to make Chelsey his. Their story is a strong case of cat and mouse or push and pull, but it will completely suck you in. I couldn't help but root for them all through the book. Emma did warn me that Chelsey was a hard character to love, but I didn't find that at all. I really liked her character. She reminded me of me a little. She stood her ground and spoke her mind. The only thing I didn't like was her comparison between her father and Kye. Just because her dad was a jerk musician, doesn't make all musicians jerks. And Kye, I dare each and everyone of you out there not to fall in love with this man. He was so unbelievably sweet but still had his alpha side to melt your panties ;) He is truly one determined man when he wants something!!
I loved how much Emma put the other characters in this story. We got to see a lot of Tate, Ella, Connor, Sophie, Aidan, Jessie and Mila. Each of these characters play a huge part in this book. I still stand by that Mila is my favorite character in this series. That little girl totally melted my heart :)
Dirty Tricks, just like all the other books in this series, is technically a stand alone book, but I truly believe to get the most out of this series and the Burke Brothers, you should read these books in order. You will see that each of the characters are so intricately entwined in each others lives, that you'll want to start from the beginning to get to know all of them. This book is told in Dual POV, which is always great in my opinion, because then you get to read about both sides of the story and what everyone is feeling and thinking.
So if you are looking for that Rockstar romance, with fantastic characters and an entertaining storyline, than this is the book for you. If you are a fan of Emma's then you don't want to miss this book. I am truly sad to see this series come to an end :(
This was my first Emma Hart read though I doubt it'll be my last. While this is the fourth book in this series it can totally be read as a standalone and the author does a great job of backfilling essential bits of the previous stories. I'm intrigued enough by the other characters to want to check out the previous books.
I really warmed to Kye Burke from the outset. He was sexy, sweet, witty and so caring and protective of Chelsey despite the fact that she regularly blows hot and cold on him. I loved how he didn't give up on her even when she was downright nasty to him. That's not to say that he was a walkover - because he most definitely wasn't. He challenged her and ultimately made her face up to things. Kye is easily the best thing about this book.
Chelsey was such a refreshing female lead. She was an out and out bitch, and I don't just mean a snarky, sassy type. She was MEAN, but I actually loved it, and she gave me some great laugh-out-loud moments. And it's not all a facade to hide her true persona though that was partly the case, but she does have an inherent mean streak.
I really enjoyed Emma's writing style, and she writes superb, sharp, humorous dialogue. All characters were solidly developed, even the secondary characters, and the romance was steamy without being too hot. The book flowed at a nice pace and there weren't any slow, repetitive, or overly descriptive parts. A nice even read. The plot is very predictable though but it wasn't a major issue as I think that's pretty much par for the course with these types of books.
In summary, this was a fab read and I'd highly recommend it to fans of NA/Contemp women's fiction.
Dirty Tricks is the fourth book in the Burke Brothers series from Emma Hart. While each book centers around the Burke brothers and the band Dirty B, each book is a standalone story featuring a different brother. I was really excited to get to know Kye better after reading the previous books. With Kye being the quiet one, I felt like he was pretty much a mystery. I loved seeing more of him here though. He is defnitely one of my favorites of the Burkes, though it is impossible not to love all of them.
Having seen the rockstar life firsthand growing up with her dad, Chelsey Young knows exactly what it means to be with a rockstar. They party hard and with an endless supply of groupies they don't do more than one night. So when Kye Burke shows interest in her, Chelsey decides to be with him for one night. Except Kye wants more than just one night with her and has been biding his time before making a move. Kye does his best to show Chelsey what they could have, but she continues to turn him down despite the fact that they keep finding themselves thrown together. With Kye leaving soon for LA to record their new album, he knows that he has to figure something out with Chelsey quick. But can he convince her that everything she knows about rockstars is wrong when it comes to him?
I could not have loved Kye more! He was so sexy and sweet, and he had the patience of an absolute saint! He never gave up on Chelsey and never resorted to going after other women. He was exactly the kind of hero that is impossible not to fall for. I loved his sweet side and how protective and caring he was, but I also loved how he was still fun and could joke around as well. Chelsey was a different story for me though. I understood that her upbringing and all she had been through had left her with a ton of fears and insecurities, and I didn't blame her for being on the skeptical side. However that got old after awhile, and the fact that Kye continued to show her that he was nothing like her dad over and over really made it hard to accept as it continued throughout this entire book. Even seeing Kye's actions, she made assumptions and judgments about him and would push him away. The running got very old and I was just over it by the time that I got to the end and she was still doing it. These two had great chemistry and when they were together a great connection, but I was just so over her hot and cold routine.
While I absolutely adored Kye, I found Chelsey impossible to connect with. It wasn't that I disliked her, I just felt like she had too many issues and that she had a ton of attitude to the point that it was irritating. While I am all for girl power and not being easy, it just felt like Chelsey was so insecure and immature at times that she needed to really speak with someone about her issues besides just her friends. Kye was so loving and supportive and it was like nothing he did could get through to her. I didn't really find her sudden transformation at the very end to be believable when I hadn't seen her making any progress throughout the whole story. If I had seen her growing up and making changes over the course of the book that would have been a different story, but honestly if it wasn't for the fact that Kye never gave up and saw something in her, I wouldn't have cared at all. So while I absolutely loved Kye, this wasn't my favorite of the series. What I did love here (besides Kye) though was seeing all the Burke brothers and their girls. This family is so much fun and they are absolutely hilarious, and I adore the cute Mila and how she has the entire family wrapped around her tiny fingers. The camaraderie and love in this group is so strong, and I honestly just love reading about all of them. I would still recommend this book and the series to contemporary/new adult fans, especially if you like sexy rockers that have depth. I just wish that Chelsey had been a bit easier for me to like and relate to.
“I’ve been to heaven and hell with those guys–all of them. They’re relentless, sure, but they’re respectful. They’re forceful but sweet. And, by God, they can be the biggest pains in the ass I’ve ever met, but when they love…””When Burke boys love, they love with everything they have and are. When the Burke boys love, they love forever.”
“I didn’t ask her to fall in love with me. I didn’t ask to fall in love with her. It just happened–like a fucking shooting star, we fell in love. Brightly, hotly, and so damn quickly that you’d miss it if you blinked.”
“Maybe real love doesn’t come from your heart at all–maybe real love comes from your soul, an inexplicable and unprovable part of the human existence that goes beyond all reason. After all, doesn’t love go beyond all reason? Isn’t love the greatest insanity anyone can experience? I think so. If love is insanity, then heartbreak is reality, and I’m strung between the two in a no-man’s-land, like I’m hovering on the edge of the cosmos.”
What can I say about Dirty Tricks? This book has so much heart and is so real. Kye and Chelsey are both so real and complex. Some may even say that Chelsey is unlikable. But that is not the case for me. Chelsey is tough and stubborn and so complex. Some may see her as a total bitch and that she is not worth Kye’s time. But, once you get to know Chelsey and you see who she really is, you understand why she is the way that she is. You being to understand why she is so closed off and has such high and guarded wall. It takes a special soul, a special type of person to be able to penetrate those walls, and that person is Kye. Kye is special in his own way. He is so unlike the other Burke brothers. He is softer and more thoughtful, but that doesn’t make him any less of an alpha male. Kye knew exactly what Chelsea needed even when she had no clue herself.
Dirty Tricks is the final book in The Burke Brothers series and I have to tell you, I am so sad to see them go. I have been a fan of this series ever since I got my hands on the very first book. With each book, I have managed to fall deeper and deeper in love with the characters and their stories. I fell in love with Kye and Chelsey immediately. I could just tell that their story was going to be special and it definitely was. Dirty Tricks had everything that I could have wanted and more. It had complex and intriguing characters. The story line was refreshing and filled with lots of heart. Chelsey’s character was frustrating and complicated, but ended up being the perfect match for Kye. Their road to HEA was not an easy one; they definitely had a lot of bumps along the way. But, seeing the two of them together…..you just knew. You knew that these two were meant to be. They challenged each other and didn’t let each other get away with anything. In the end, they were just perfect.
Dirty Tricks is a fabulous addition to The Burke Brothers series. This story will pull you and keep you captivated the entire time. Emma Hart has once again delivered an amazing read filled with lots of love, romance, and sexy good times. This book will frustrate you, pull at your heart and make you swoon all at the same time. There is just so much to love about Kye and Chelsey’s story. And the epilogue….It was absolute perfection. It may have even brought a few tears to my eyes. Fans of Emma Hart, this is a definite must read. It does not disappoint!
What a bittersweet ending to this series. I will be honest. I am sad to see this series end. I loved each of the Burke brothers. And if I am being honest, I don't usually enjoy band books this much. Although there are NOT typical band books. Not even close.
Emma has a clever way of mixing snark, angst. love, hate and self assurance in such a way that I can't help to get lost in her books. Like the other books in this series, I was hooked from the beginning.
This one is so full of the above mentioned and so much more. This book is the perfect balance of angst and sweetness that I found myself devouring it in no time. I don't think I can say enough positive things about this story.
Please note that although this is a series, each book is a standalone. However, to get the full effect of the story, I would suggest reading each book in order. This way all of the backstories are there. There are pieces in each book that can help in understanding little things in each one.
This one was a little difficult for me to get through.....The heroine of the story had as much personality and warmth as the ice cubes currently in my fridge......It was a struggle to like her for Kye as he was so nice.....anyway still a enjoyable series and sad to see it end.....was hoping the sister would at least get a HEA....
4.5 Stars!!
I believe Emma Hart saved the best Burke brother for the last! Kye Burke is completely different from his brothers and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.
Kye is the more level headed, sweet, and thoughtful of the Burke brothers, he’s seen each and every one of his brothers fall hard for their girls and he never expected it to happen to him. When Chelsey and him hook up one night, he can’t get her out of his head, and pursues her relentlessly. Chelsey on the other hand, doesn’t want to be chased by a rock star, she wants to be left alone and not deal with the pain that is caused by having someone like Kye in her life. Kye realizes quickly that he needs to make Chelsey his, but it’s not an easy task. Chelsey has been hurt by her father (also a rock-star) and the wounds of what she’s gone through run deep. With Kye determined to break down those walls and get her to let him in things definitely get interesting.
I loved the bickering back and forth between Kye and Chelsey. Kye is cocky, hilarious, and a bit of an ass at times (but only with good intentions). Chelsey is guarded, scared, and sometimes a little bitchy. Together they are full of fire! Watching Chelsey continue to push Kye away got a bit annoying at times, but I don’t think things would have ended up the way they did for them if she would have let him in at first. Kye proved over and over again how much he cares for her and what he’s willing to do to keep her in his life, and yet at times it feels as if he will never get through to her.
The back and forth in this story is crazy, and full of angst. I couldn’t put this book down from the minute I picked it up till I reached “The End”. I had to know if Kye would finally get the girl, and if Chelsey would finally let Kye in 100%. Not only are they hilarious together, but their chemistry is hot from the very beginning of this book all the way to the end. Emma Hart did an amazing job of making their scenes steamy, but not over the top. This book was perfectly balanced with just enough angst, sexiness, and laugh out loud moments.
Not only do we get Kye and Chelsey’s story, but we also get to see how Conner, Tate, Aiden, Sophia, Jessie, Ella, Leiah, and Mila are doing as well. I loved seeing these couples continue to move forward, as well as getting to see more of Mila (the spitfire of a 2 year old that you can’t help but love). Seeing all these brothers and knowing where they came from in the beginning of the series, to where they are now, is pretty awesome. Each of these characters in this series has grown so much and have made me fall in love with them just a little bit more each book.
As sad as I am that this series is now over, I loved how it ended. Each one of these men found an amazing woman that is meant for them, and the extended epilogue gave us some insight into what is going on with these brothers and the girls, for which I am grateful! I didn’t want to say goodbye, but I couldn’t have asked for a better ending for this series! Run, don’t walk, and pick up your copy of Dirty Tricks, and all the other Burke Brother books today, it’s a series you will not regret reading!
I have received this book as a member of the XOXperts, XOXO After Dark’s official street team, in exchange for an honest review.
This book really surprised me because I did not know I would enjoy it so much just based on its blurb. Well, from what I have read of Kye in the first three books in the series, I knew him to be the incorrigible cutie pie that I couldn't help but fall in love with. And I was not wrong!
Man, oh, man! Kye and Chelsey were hot together...like, fan myself hot! Hot damn! I thought that their chemistry was so tangible and near to leaping off the pages. I loved reading how Kye steadfastly worked on changing Chelsey's perception of a rockstar. Or of a rockstar's capibility of keeping faithful to a relationship. And this was while Kye himself was coming to terms with the possibility of falling in love...for the first. Everything just meshed so well together.
I've always loved EH's narrative and after this book, I'd say that still holds true. On to the next book! Too bad it'll be the last one in the series. Sigh.
Kye is definitely my favorite Burke brother! So glad the way all the stories were given an epilogue at the end. But I'd really like to see more Burke brother stories! Reading little sister's story next!
Wow! Kye wants Chelsey Young badly! But after her rock star father abandoned her and her mom, years ago, Chelsey's hatred and distrust of rock stars go deep. Will Kye be able to convince Chelsey that he is not a sleazy creep like her father? Or will he be forced to watch her walk away for good?
This one was better than the 3rd book but it was not so good. Even if I can understand the heroine's reasons (her and her mother had been abandoned by a rock star father), I think she should decide what to do. If you can't trust your man let him go.
I absolutely love Kye Burke; he is definitely not who everyone has made him out to be, which is exactly why Chelsey tries her damnest to stay away from him because he blows her perceived notions about rock stars out of the water. She feels like she needs to hold on to her own truths like they're chained to her because she's afraid to give her heart to someone else and watch it be destroyed because she believes rock stars are only ONE way.
Dirty Past ~
For Chelsey, her childhood has left her guarded and with deep rooted scars that force her to protect her heart with a bitchy attitude and a hot/cold demeanor. Chelsey’s father’s past antics as a rockstar has tainted her outlook on any musician and regardless of how much her body craves Kye, the only thing she sates is her body and even that comes with a multitude of repercussions for both of them.
Dirty Secret ~
Chelsey’s true secret is her out of control feelings for Kye. Everything about him works for her, but she won’t admit it…she refuses to back down from her initial thoughts no matter how much dirty talking or gentlemanly actions Kye does.
Dirty Lies ~
The media plays a huge role in keeping Chelsey’s heart from truly opening up to Kye. The paparazzi work their magic and spin their tales, picking apart every move that Chelsey and Kye make further humiliating her in ways that she can’t seem to recover from because the spotlight is not a place she wants to be in for anyone.
Dirty Tricks ~
Kye definitely has his work cut out for him with Chelsey, but just like the title suggests, Kye's not opposed to doing a bit of conniving and deception to get what he's always wanted - HER.
Readers need to heed Emma Hart's words and give Chelsey a chance, regardless of how much we might want to strangle her and force her to face her fears and get past the demons of what she witnessed with her father. Intellectually, I completely understand why she is the way she is with Kye, but my heart couldn't take much more of her mixed signals and running. I'm sure it's because I knew Kye wouldn't be like his manwhore twin and witnessing everything he's done in the book to prove to Chelsey that he's nothing like her father, I had a hard time looking past some of her actions. BUT, Emma told me to stick with Chelsey, and so I did, and I'm so glad that I did because Chelsey definitely redeems herself, and Emma does a fantastic job of illustrating Chelsey's inner torment and the truth of her feelings despite her outward protests.
All the Burke brothers and their significant others are back in the final book of the series, which is a great send off for them and readers. The brothers have a lot of decisions to make with where their career and lives go from here, and it’s not that easy of a decision due to a multitude of factors, namely the women who own their hearts.
In true Emma Hart fashion, Kye and Chelsey, just like the other couples, struggle to stay in the present and focus on what’s between them regardless of what’s happening around them. But, the Burke boys are relentless when they want something and when they love, they love with every part of their bodies and souls, so while Kye may have to trick Chelsey into spending time with him, he’s playing the long game because despite Chelsey Young’s external facade, she wants exactly what Kye wants to give her - HIMSELF!
The saying goes "save the best for last" and honestly after reading Dirty Lies I didn't know how Emma would top Aidan, like he was my man, don't get me wrong I was super excited for Dirty Tricks and Kye but Aidan was IT for me. So I pick up Dirty Tricks with Aidan Burke in my heart and start to read and instantly start to love it. And then I have to stop because this book consumes me, it hooks me and plants itself smack bang in my heart and them, BAM! I cheat on Aidan Burke and fall head over heels in love with his TWIN! That's storyline worthy in its own right, I don't know how Emma did it but Kye....OMG Kye Burke. Sorry Aidan, "falling in love with Kye was never part of the plan" but I did, and I don't feel an once of guilt about it.
Kye and Chelsey are such a great pair, once they admitted it, and despite having initial doubts that I wasn't really liking her, I went and bloody adored her too by the end of it. Once again Emma build up one hell of a love story with these two.
Emma has fast become one of my fave authors, her writing is super sexy. It's fun and flirty but also devastatingly real and raw. Parts of this story and the emotion it packs hits so deep like a sucker punch to the gut. It will also light you up brighter than a Christmas tree, burn you up hotter than if you were sat in front of an open fire and make you smile like you've got a damn banana stuck in your mouth, whole!
And now, as I sit here, in immense book worm bliss and love in my heart I feel a huge stab of pain at the fact that the series is over. All the Burke brothers have their books and their stories told. There will be no more Burke brother books to devour. *cries huge ugly tears and wipes snot*
I want to thank Emma for the epilogue at the end and they way she split it with all he brothers rounding them off perfectly. I will forever hold these dirty brothers and their sassy ladies and Mila, the dollar toting tot, deep in my heart.
Congratulations Emma Hart. "You played checkmate. You scored the touchdown. The home run." "Game, set, match."
Emma is one of my go to authors. I read everything she writes and she never disappoints. She always gives me all the feels. I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered, swooned, laughed more and sighed. Kye is the last of the Burke brothers to fall. He's also the nicest of the crew and my favorite. I'm not sure what it is about him that calls to me. Maybe it is the perfect mix of actual nice guy and mouthy alpha. After one crazy night with Chelsea, he can't get her out of his mind and he's sick of trying to stay away from her. He wants her and he's willing to resort to any of the dirty tricks in his arsenal. Chelsea's father is a famous rock star who abandoned her and her mother and she can't forgive him for that. The walls around her heart are so high and she can't separate Kye and the band from the history with her father. Kye slowly breaks down her defenses, but Chelsea is putting up a good fight. Will Kye get Chelsea to see he's not her father? Will Chelsea lose the only man she's ever let into her heart? I loved this story. Kye is sexy, funny and knows what he wants. Chelsea is hilarious and bitchy in a good way. Emma writes some of the most memorable characters I've ever read.
"Every time you fake a Boy Scout pledge y'all kill a unicorn."
He's my poison, but I kiss him like he's my oxygen.
I won't give up until Chelsea Young belongs to me, mind, body, and everlasting fucking soul.
I received an ARC of this book from InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's blog tour promotions.
I'm happy to say that I actually got to read all four books in this series. The first book was okay, but it wasn't my favorite. The second book was a bit better. The third book was probably my favorite in the bunch. However, this book really intrigued me. We've all met Kye Burke. We all know his character. I'm sure many ladies have already claimed him as their own. His book really did justice to the Kyle that was introduced early on.
I liked that even if Kye was painted as a nice guy, his story wasn't boring or predictable. He was also a little dirty. I mean, it's quite a nice surprise to find a dirty man beneath a nice package. That's what Kye was. I also liked the book's heroine. Her story about being a rockstar's daughter who had a front row seat to the downside of rock and roll fame was believable. It was also different from any other character in the series.
If you've read any book from this series at all, you should check out Dirty Tricks. You will definitely swoon over this hero. You will be cheering him on his quest to win the girl. If you've never read about the Dirty B men, this is a good place to start, but you should also check out the first three books because you'll definitely have one great time.
Oh Kye. As much as I'm in love with Connor you are the biggest softest teddy bear there is. I enjoyed reading this character through all three books so it's very exciting for him to finally get his own book. For once Mila did not steal the show of the book. And Chelsea was driving me absolutely batty. To me, this book seem to have a little more drama then the previous books but still this Series has been a very easy, fun, entertaining series. These books are definitely very steamy and they're just fun quick reads. I said this in the beginning and I'll say it in the end I love the fact that the family is so close that all the characters really get involved in each book. And I really like the epilogue in this book seeing as it's the conclusion to the series the author really left you in a good place with each couple. I'm glad I discovered this series and I can't wait for Leila's book.
Kye is a man who can appreciate his woman's assets, "I drop my eyes to her a**. “Not with those sweats. You realize they’re pretty much skintight, right?” The corners Kye backs himself into, “only on trees! Wait! eff!” I wipe my hand across my eyes. “I like a**. Not bush. ***t, I mean if it’s well-trimmed. . . . I’m not discriminatory about bushes!” Kye was a great man I loved his personality, “hey now— the sleeping was a great idea,” I murmur against her mouth. “And if you don’t want to be poked by Joey in the middle of the night, you should sort him out, woman.” I tap her a**, and she gasps, dropping her hands." I loved this book I'm sad that there will be no more Burke boys.
Kye, oh Kye.
I've been waiting and waiting and waiting on Kye's book. I've loved him since he was introduced in the beginning of the Burke Bother's series.
Kye is everything I thought he'd be and more. He's caring, sweet, and has a heart of gold. He also knows exactly what he wants and goes after it; he wants Chelsea.
Chelsea, the daughter of a rockstar, wants nothing to do with that lifestyle. Not with the way her dad left her mom. She doesn't realize that Kye is nothing like her dad. It takes her a while to figure it out, but when she does its powerful.
I loved Dirty Tricks so much! I cannot wait for more from Emma!
Loved Chelsey and Kye together! Nice to see the last brother finally fall. As always, catching up with the rest of the band makes the story for me. I will never look at a Christmas tree quite the same again. We all need a Kye twist to decorating I think! Great read!
Finally, Kye! A guy who didn't know what he wanted until he had it, and a girl who didn't want the love she had been running from.
Kye and Chelsey drunkenly hooked up. The problem is, Chelsey can't really remember anything about that night, just moments that hint to it being downright amazing. And although she's tempted to see if he was as amazing at she thinks he was, Chelsey does not want to get involved with a rock star. After growing up watching her dad in the rock star spotlight and the hurt his actions caused her, she doesn't want to have anything to do with Kye - she knows what goes on with that lifestyle, the endless stream of fans throwing themselves at Dirty B, and the online abuse that her friends had received. But, Kye is persistent. He wants her and the more he chips away at the wall she's put up, the more he realises just how much he wants her in his life. Only problem is, Dirty B is set to return to L.A. in a few weeks to record their next album. As Chelsey begins to fall, she knows she can't deal with a long-distance relationship. Kye doesn't have long to convince her that he's worth taking a risk on, because he knows she is.
Kye has been a Burke brother that I've wanted to read about since the first book and I'm so glad we finally get his story! With the glimpses we've seen of Kye over the previous books, I knew his story would be one of my favourites. And the moment we met Chelsey in the previous book, I knew we were in for an interesting ride.
Chelsey was such an interesting character as we watch her deal with the deep scars left by her father and his continuing bad actions when it comes to where she's concerned. She's been hurt by a lifestyle that she doesn't want any part in, even when Kye continually proves that he's the furthest thing from her father. You can feel her hesitation and the realisation that comes with the real reason she wants to keep Kye at arms length.
I really enjoyed watching the development of their relationship, especially since Kye and Chelsey have such a fun dynamic. I'm a sucker for these types of romances, so I naturally enjoyed every single minute of it, even the heartbreak.
As much as I enjoyed this book - the ups and the downs - my favourite part has got the be the epilogue at the end, where we not only get to see the end of Kye and Chelsey's story, but also a conclusion to Aidan and Jessie, Tate and Ella, and Connor and Sofie. Their endings fit so perfectly with where their relationships and it was like giving us the closure we didn't know we needed for all their stories.
There's actually a quote in this book that I think perfectly sums up this series: "The magic of the Burke brothers is that they are so easy to fall in love with." And I couldn't agree more with Chesley's thinking, this book just cementing how much I've enjoyed this series. Of course, there is still one more book to go as we finally get to see Leila's happy ending too.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this series is a must-read for fans of new adult romance. You'll laugh, cry and swoon over these rock star brothers, and you'll enjoy going on their relationship journeys, from the highest highs to the lowest lows. If you're looking to start with reading Emma's books, this series is definitely the place to start!
 I love the Burke Brothers they are a successful band and as each brother finds his true love they become even better.  They stand up for each other with such strong loyalty its amazing.  Kye has two weeks to prove to Chelsey that he isn’t the kind of man her father is. She has two weeks to convince him that it’s never going to happen. But Kye didn’t get where he is by giving up…and even if it’s the fight of his life, there’s no way he’s giving Chelsey up.  Chelsey is not ready to trust any rock star living the life she grew up with as her father was a huge star and she knows what it did to her mom.  So good
So much fun ...
The entire Burke Brothers series was fun, real, Crazy, drove me nuts wondering what these wonderful characters would do next!
Even the secondary characters, Nana and Pop, were just as enticing, you never knew what they were going to do in reaction to the main characters!
Pop and Nana were definitely tied for first place in surprising me.
But you cannot leave us without Leila's story! Truly she was just as crazy, etc as her brothers, and certainly held her own within the series!
I loved these books, HIGHLY RECOMMEND, but please Leila needs her own happiness!
This is the last of the Burke boys and I do love this brother. He is very sweet clueless young guy. His girl is damaged and super difficult but he never gives up on her even when you can tell he is frustrated and just at a loss on what to do next. He has lot of heart and I can see why he is someone everyone turns to when they need a friend. The end of this book has a little bit about how each Burke boy is doing, that was a nice treat. I do see there is book for the only Burke sister and I am
Looking forward to that.
Ok so as much as I enjoyed the read, for the most part, I really just didn't care for Chelsea's hot and cold behavior. And her whole aggressive bitch attitude wasn't as cute as it was suppose to be. She plays head games and is a bit selfish. Oh, and that whole "I'm fine" scenario was really ridiculous. I know that it was written that way because women really act like that in real life. I find it immature and pathetic. Let's get it together, ladies, and grow the fuck up. Thanks!
