I'm dirt poor and unattractive, whereas Loraine is beautiful and wealthy enough to wipe her nose with hundred dollar bills every day. Yet, she wants me to seduce her husband and the father of her kids--Kenneth, the youngest and the sexiest self-made billionaire alive.
That she wants to divorce him to get most of his assets is a big fat lie and we both know it because you don't just give up on a man like Kenneth, the very symbol of power and raw sexuality. You tie him down with chains and barb wires so he can't escape.
While searching for the real reason Loraine has hired me as a nanny, I'm working hard not to fall for Kenneth.
That, too, proves to be a big fat lie.
*Forget Me Not 1: DECEIVED is 23,000 words long, 80 print pages.
After reading my first thought was: what happen next? It's over... seriously... now...
It was short but pithy. I have no idea what's going on Kenneth wife's mind. Why she doesn't want him since he loves her and their childrens. She's got everything... so I don't get her.
Lisa is simply, inexperienced girl who wants better future for her and her friend Monika. She doesn't know how to seduce hot man. (especially in short time)
I'm curious what happen next. What are the motivation on Kenneth's wife. If she reach her goal? Or end with nothing.
The storyline could have been a good one but I felt the author was more interested in creating sexual situations which were too long and added nothing. The book covered rape, miscarriage and abortion which could be upsetting for some readers as there was no sensitivity involved. I found it a long tedious read with no conclusion - which I hate - in my opinion it's just a way for authors to make more profit by selling a few chapters each book so people feel compelled to chase the ending by buying further books. Safe to say I won't be reading any more books by this author.
Slow start. Kept me interested enough to want to know what happens next though. Hopefully next book will be longer and not be continual cliffhanger, that really gets old. Give readers the whole book and charge more. Not sure why no one writes books anymore, just pieces.
This is one of the most ridiculous books that I have ever read. Stupid plot filled in with grossly written sex scenes. Then it ends on a cliff hanger. A big waste of time.
Great characters and a "once in a lifetime" situation. Great small plot twist. I love Liv Bennett's writings and the story's she tells. Fantastic as pleasure Extraordinaire ...... maybe.
Lisa is a struggling barista when Loraine sees her ogling Kenneth, her husband. Loraine is seeking someone to have an affair with Kenneth so that she can receive a larger divorce settlement and she offers Lisa a job as a nanny and the potential of a huge cash payout if she can seduce Kenneth. Lisa has remarkably few qualms about caring for young children while angling to split up their parents and she immediately begins a fruitless campaign of seduction with no concerns for the impact it'll have on the children if she's flashing their dad at the dinner table.
There's lots of intrigue here -- Loraine has a mysterious abortion, Kenneth is surrounded by women who want to have him, and Lisa's friend has been raped by an evil Arab and is pregnant. None of these plot threads are handled with sensitivity or insight. Lisa herself is a horror show morally but most confusingly she seems to frequently forget that she isn't an innocent nanny, but someone who is deliberately trying to blow up a marriage. There's one scene where she gets extremely worked up when one of Kenneth's attractive co-workers holds his infant son. Lisa's objection is that the woman is trying to use the baby to get closer to Kenneth and that isn't fair to the baby . . . but that's exactly what Lisa is doing too!
The book has a cliffhanger ending, but the worst part is that it involves a lengthy and detailed SA scene where Lisa assaults a deliberately drugged Kenneth while he begs her to stop. It's one of the most appalling things I've read in something marketed as a romance.

"Great short story for Deceived (forget me not part 1) and packed with heart stopping moments. As always Liv creates awesome complex characters that suck you in and make you part of their life. The stories are also crazy hot and you feel the temperature simmering in Deceived waiting for a rise. Kenneth is simply to good to be true. So dedicated to Loraine but you just know under the surface their is a bad boy lurking despite his faithfulness, the passion and PDA he shares with Loraine make that crystal clear.
What kind of a women pays to have her husband seduced. What kind of a women purposely hurts herself and her family in the process. Clearly Loraine has a story. She's beautiful and has a hot as sin husband and two beautiful children. He clearly adores her. It doesn't make sense cause it couldn't just be about insecurity that someone will steal him. Maybe it's just really about a shit load of money... Then comes Lisa who is dirt poor and totally down on her luck. She's had tough as an orphan and barely makes ends meet and needs to look after herself and her orphan best friend Monika. Lisa has lots of hot chemistry with Kenneth, Loraine's husband, and You can feel it's going to explode. Loraine decides to use that to her advantage and thinks she will be the winner in the end. I'm not so sure though and it feels like it's going to get very hot and bumpy on the way. Can't wait for Seduced, forget me not part 2 to unfold. Bring it on Liv, you have packed a great story in a short read and I definitely want more. And real soon please."
This is an excellent story, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. While working in a coffee shop, Lisa is momentarily distracted by a gorgeous man. What is even more unusual is that his wife wants Lisa to seduce him, while working and living in their home as a nanny. Lisa doesn’t want to do this, but the money is too tempting, as is the security it will offer her and her pregnant friend Monika. Lisa is concerned because the couple are quite affectionate towards each other, and this makes Lisa wonder what Loraine is really up to, particularly when there are others in the office vying for Kenneth’s attention. When things do not progress quickly enough for Loraine, Lisa is given specific instructions on how she should proceed. When a particularly uncomfortable secret is divulged to Kenneth, Lisa begins to wonder what is going on. This story ends on a cliff-hanger, so it will be interesting to see how the story develops in the next instalment. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! There is a lot of information given in this short episode. What would you do if you were offered a ton of money to seduce someone's husband? Would you take them up on their offer of a place to live, new clothes, medical care for yourself and your best friend, who desperately needs it or would you turn them down because you don't want to whore yourself for money? The cliffhanger was chin dropping!
This book is a solid start to the series. Although mrs. Carter seems a little off. I'm curious how ms. Bennett is going to spin any physical interaction between mr carter and Lisa without mr carter being seen a the cheating world class jack hole. Because that is what he would be no matter how awful his wife might be. And if she's mentally unstable? That just makes it worse. There must be one heck of a twist coming.
The story is great kept me wanting more couldn't put it down once I started. She has life on edge had no win job needed more in life. Help her roommate needing to make it better for her but she could also get hurt not every you meet someone who make your heart race. It been hard she willing try anything make it better in life. I love Liv Bennett books will. Wait for more her books I enjoy them can't wait for the next one.
What kind of wife hires someone to seduce her husband? Will it end up more for Lisa than the need for money? Twists and turns keep you on edge. Great start to a new series. I love these short easy reads. Just can't wait for the next installment.
