Silver Platter Hoe #1

Silver Platter Hoe

Rate this book
TRINA considers herself to be a SILVER PLATTER HOE who deserves the finer things in life. And she will stop at nothing to get them.
No woman's man is off limits. No lie is too devious for her to tell. No scheme to get money is too scandalous. And she is not above committing downright treachery, even against her very own blood.
When Trina's sister, DESIREE, finally finds the happiness Trina has always wanted for herself, envy sets in and a fierce sibling rivalry unfolds.
Using sex and deception as her weapons, the Silver Platter Hoe sets out to take everything that Desiree has attained, including her man.
Will Trina's ruthless schemes work?
Or will her cold-hearted deviousness be her downfall?

556 Book Chicks giving folks the side eye...
So I kept seeing this book on Amazon, but I wouldn't 1-click it. Then I saw readers talking about it in a group on Facebook, so of course I said ohhhhhh I gotta read this book. Normally they are on point with book recommendations, but Lawd knows I was not feeling this book.

It was like everything in the book happened all in one day, except it didn't. Things were moving so fast it was like everything was running together. There are two sisters - Trina and Desire - who don't get along. Desire thinks Trina may have killed their parents when they were younger. So it's sibling rivalry on level 10. They are both out for blood, but who will survive.

Sounds like a great story, huh? Well in my opinion it was like one unbelievable thing after the next. I don't know why but the story was just corny to me...ohhhh I hate to say that. I had all these say what now moments...

1. When Desire's boyfriend Terrell finds out he has a twin brother. His mother tells him she gave up his brother because he was evil. Say what now? How the hell you know a baby evil???

2. When Trina's friend hangs out with her even though Trina was sleeping with her father. And her mother and father were still together. Say what now?

3. There is this scene where the maintenance man for the apartments lets Trina into her apartment, and he drops a wad of cash on her coffee table. Like what maintenance man you know walking around with a wad of cash in his pocket??? Where they do that at????

The truth is the book just did nothing for me. It was too much at one time, and I understand that it is a series of short stories...but I think too much happened too soon (like a hamster running on it's wheel). And the damn title didn't go with the book...well Trina was a Hoe but Lawd I don't know...ugh! The writing wasn't up to standards (in my opinion) - the story was undeveloped, you could get lost quick, lots of mistakes throughout the book. And y'all know I hate to have a red pen out correcting an e-book! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!

The book has pretty good reviews, so check it out for yourself. Don't take my word for it. And it was also her first book, so maybe I should read the 2nd one just to be fair. Sweet Baby Jesus take the wheel.

The story started out good but then took a huge dive into unrealistic land. There was too much going on and not enough development.

It's good for people who like a quick drama filled read, so long as they're not picky about detail.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I'm really not a fan of short stories but I'm so happy I read this book. I don't want to say anything to spoil the book for anyone else but I will say that it's sad that there are a lot of people in this world who are like Trina & Terrance. I can't wait to read part 2, this story was well written and it kept me reading it the whole way through. Reds, Congrats this is a great story, can't wait to see how it all ends!!!! I highly recommend this book. 5 star read!!!!!

Trina is one evil and trifling person. She so unhappy with herself she wants everyone else to be unhappy.
Desire , Trina’s sister is caught up in her web of lies, deceit and jealousy
Desire holds a secret that Trina doesn’t want to get out.
I recommend this book if you are looking for a good short story

I loved it! I'm hoping in part 2 we learn more about the characters. I want to know why Trina hated her sister so much, and why Terrence hated Rell so much.

The book was very detailed. It was a good page tunrner. I didn’t like the fact that the sister was so out of loop it was obvious how her sister was. I would recommend this book to friends and family. I choose this rating because it was just that good

This book is good . It was somewhat predictable . The main part I liked is that it touches on something that no one writes or talks about . I think subjects of this nature should be talked and written about more.

This book had me wanting to kick Trina ass. These men will sleep with anyone. If some girl/woman and there smelling like fish or unclean they deserve to catch whatever they get. Men are dogs.and some woman are to.

I don't really read stories like this, however, I found this to be fairly good.
My issue is the last part of the book was a bit unrealistic. There is no way detectives would take orders from civilians and it was never explained how the brother was let out of the hospital after the surgery from being shot, there should have been some charges brought up or something. Speaking of that scene, how did Rell and Des get out of being arrested? They shot up an apartment!!! Even if they weren't charged they would have at least been brought down to the station for questioning being that their son was kidnapped. Did they ever take their son to the hospital?

I will be reading the next installment because I want to know what will happen since it ended with a cliff hanger.

You ain't seen dirty till you meet Trina. Lawd we got all the details including about the grey sores on her Miss Kitty. This bitch was so evil, Darth Vader would have trembled in his boots. I'm just saying you need to meet Trina

The four star is only because I can't stand when writers splash brand names and numbers everywhere, Gucci, Maserati etc You're killing the shelf life of your book. In a couple of years Tru religion jeans will be replaced with 'what's ups' and your book will be officially too backward.

I didn't like Trina from the jump. Makes you wonder how she could hate her sister so much but still depend on her to fight her battles. Trina and Terrence trifling behinds deserve everything Desire and Rell bring their way! Trina needs to get it anyways for putting peoples lives at risk. It's nobody's fault she was grown and hit in the ass! Now everyone she's dealt with has to deal with the consequences because they didn't know. Amir also got what he deserved for setting his boy up.

While reading this book I just wanted to take out my red pen and make editing corrections because it didn't seem like there was an editor at all. The book was interesting at times but I felt like it went form 0-100 in a matter of 3 pages. It was a short story but things happened way too fast. The characters weren't developed, background information was not given, and the story line was unrealistic. I will not be continuing with the series.

How indeed

The title fits this book well. Trina is a hot mess. She is just doing too much. She needs to be brought down off of her high horse. If you look in the dictionary under ratchet, you will see her picture. I loved Rell and Desiree. I hated that ending though. I have to read part 2 to see if Desiree makes it or not. I hope that she does, so that she can take care of Trina once and for all.

4.5 Stars this was an excellent read loved the twist and turns in the story. Lord Trina was a handful but Desire was not the woman to play with. Rell and Marcus put there game down but nothing compared to Desire. Is the brother still alive to reek havoc or will the sister do more of that than he would. I hope there is a part 2 cause I do have unanswered questions. Good job!

Man this book is so good!! I really like Rell, he is a stand up guy and gentleman. Desiree is my girl. Her relationship with Rell is awesome! Trina is a bish, I can't stand her, she will mess around with anybody, she claims the word thot. This book has so many twist and turns that I really need to read part two to get some closure.

Wow

Sometimes blood doesn't make you family. Trina is a prime example of a trifling sister. She doesn't deserve to be breathing the same air as humans. Now it's on to part two I need to know what is gonna happen next.

I've been sitting on this book for awhile...I'm glad that I picked it up, I can't wait to see what happens next! The only thing I'm still trying to figure out is why Trina is the way she is and why Terrance is the way he is. Hopefully part 2 will answer those questions lol :)

This book started off very good even though there are typos. by the middle of the book the story gets unrealistic. There is a part where it states Trina is dead but then it goes on to say what she is currently doing.
