We Got Hood Love
“If we gonna give it up, we might as well be getting paid for it anyway.” Living in the projects in Brooklyn, Trina wants a better life; and that’s exactly what she proposes for her and her friends.
Trina, a single mother of 3 is a boss and wants nothing less than the best. No longer playing the role of the side piece, she knows the power of the cookie and plans to use it to get herself out of the projects. All she sees is the come up; but love has a way of finding her in a form she doesn’t expect. Can she still be a boss and have this new found love?
Quita has had more than her share of bad luck when it comes to men and money. Tired of stripping, all she wants, is to be able to live the lifestyle that she deserves and take care of her kids. She wants the same as Trina but just can’t seem to stay away from the bad elements, and decides to take what doesn’t belong to her. Can she have it all? Despite all the hurt, she just can’t let him go; until the unexpected happens and Mya is forced to do the unthinkable to save face. But her scheming ways are bound to catch up with her, sooner than she thinks.

I did not know what I signed up for when I began reading We Got Hood Love. Three friends Quita, Trina, and Princess wanted to get out of Marcy Projects ASAP by any means necessary. They formulate a plan to raise and save money however we know "More Money, More Problems". Mya is trying hard to hold on to her boyfriend through his infidelity and frequently vents to her co-worker bff, Peter. Relationships and friendships are tested as many secrets are revealed as we begin to see how the characters are connected in some way.

Brooklyn's Baddest.
Good read read with loads of drama from beginning to end. Three friends from Marcy projects are determine to get out by any means. They come up with a hustle to make it all possible.... over time things go from sugar to ish. In a way agreed with Quita. Trina wasn't hardly doing anything but wanted a cut and to try to run this but never put in work. I felt bad for Brandon. He can't win for losing. He lived Trina but she didn't love him enough to be honest about what she was into. Mya really losing it over Smooth smh. He shocked me to find out about him and Peter and now Mya has Aids and is coming after everybody who has harmed her. Bout to start part. It's a must I find out what happens next.

Not expected that ending
Love this book. Wasn't expecting that ending. I hope Trina gets herself together because Brandon really loved her. I'm anxiously waiting to see what the outcome will be with Keeno AKA Frank Mitchell. I hope Mya gets the help she deserves dealing with the lost of her baby and now her condition with AIDS. Good book,however I didn't like the title. The title doesn't fit the book.

Loved it! this book had me all over the place. It reminds me of the struggle that we as women go through to make a better life for ourselves. These three ladies were doing what they needed to do to escape living in the projects. It started out well, but just like with everything else, greed set in and it ultimately leads to their downfall. This is a must read and I am ready for part 2.

Mad love for Hood Love
Loved it from beginning to end! I could sympathize with a single parent desperate to have a better life for her kids. Finding love in unexpected places. Awesome! She got out the projects alright.

Good hood read
The only thing I didn't like was the way Mya blamed the wrong people four her troubles. I'm glad Trina got away tho Quita got what she deserved greed will get you no where and poor Princess lord help her I definitely want to know what happens next!!!

Ok book
This book was ok it really didn't wow me. In the end I was left with a lot it unanswered questions. Although the author had a good storyline the book just needed more.
