The thing is that Ian Danter did an excellent job reading Ozzy Osbourne’s “Last Rites.” So I decided to see if he’d done other books. When I saw his own book, in which he talked about his life as a guy from Birmingham who was a musician and a sports commentator on the radio, I snapped it up immediately because I am very interested in all of those things. Unfortunately, this effort fell a bit flat with me. While he seemed like an okay guy, his life story didn’t really wow me. I also thought it was weird that so much of the football tournament portions was uncurated diary entries. I finished it and learned some stuff from it, but I’m looking forward to moving on.
