Death knocks on the door of every home in Gibbs City, Missouri. Who will answer?

Sheriff Virgil Carter’s strength and valor is tested as Gibbs City, Missouri faces it’s most challenging foe. An influenza epidemic strikes and Virgil can no longer control the outcome as the town erupts in chaos.

As the consequences of her past actions move closer, Cora Williams must use all her knowledge and physical strength to fight an invisible adversary. One that threatens the life of every citizen and challenges her to be the person she’s afraid to become.

Death and loss have no chance against a love held close to ones heart, for the heart never forgets.

I'm an ex-navy wife who has travled around a lot. For years I studied my craft before jumping into the publishing pool. I love suspense and comedy.

I look forward to interacting with my readers.

Fantastic Series

As you can see I'm at #5. Absolutely can not put them down. Straight from one book to the next. Thrilling! Full of real life heroics and compassion as well as the common evils of man.

They could SERIOUSLY use some editing!

'I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review'

As Cora's new town is struck by Spanish Influenza and they start to run out of options Cora offers her services even though she's not legally allowed to practice medicine anymore. This then results in the town members going out of their way to help her in a way that she never expected.

Again, I absolutely LOVED it. Yes, this one as well as parts 1-3 end in cliffhangers, but when a story is so good that you do not want to put it down, and when it's over you are dying to read the next one to see what happens, the cliffhangers are well worth it. They are suspenseful and enthralling. This book and this series in general are well worth the money. I highly recommend reading but you must start with part 1.

Why not three ?

You should have combined these into 2 -3 books. Maybe less money. Thank God there are only 5 !! Takes longer to find next book than to read it !!

I love this series and I will continue to read until I have finished them all I only wish the books were longer instead of having to keep purchasing more books
