If you want to read a super hot story with a H who is completely obsessed with the h, this one is it. The H is all about the h. He is extremely possessive and jealous. The sex scenes were off the charts. I can't believe I waited so long to read this one.

Loved it! A very short yet enjoyable read. The only thing that would make it better is a more detailed background on H's illnes.

I liked this book better than Cowboy Alpha as it was longer and better edited. Rose and David are supposed to be step-siblings, but that didn't really factor into the story too much. A little bit was mentioned about their parents and their childhood, but the story takes place after they had both moved away from their home, and there is no interaction with their parents in the present time, so they could have just as easily been childhood friends or neighbors rather than step-siblings. There's no taboo feel to this read due to that aspect.

David is a classic alpha male, and I liked his and Rose's relationship; however, there were a lot of unexplained details in this story. Why was he considered psycho? He had an episode where he threatens his friend, and then doesn't remember it. His behavior is described as becoming increasingly psychotic, but there is never any explanation given for it. A lot of details are glossed over or you have to suspend belief to enjoy the story, but if that's something you're OK with, this is another hot, exciting escape for a few hours.

Quick and dirty

This was a quick dirty read that had me flipping through the pages quickly. I'm a sucker for stepbrother romances and this one was deliciously dark and dirty.

Very good for what it was.. but it was missing something.

The title says it all really. It was very good book, and for a novella it was well done and flushed out. The characters were believable and the storyline while a little vague in some areas, had clearly been well thought out.
My only issue is that I didn't really see this as a dark romance. Maybe it just wasn't dark enough for my tastes (which I willingly admit is a fine line of what's too far and not far enough) but this felt much more like a mafia romance with a small bit of obsession and mental issues thrown in.
To me, a dark romance is where the MC is manipulated, lied to and/or taken by force by an anti-hero that just can't help loving and obsessing over her.. whether the main character likes it or not.
That didn't really happen in this book, but for a Novella it did an amazing job!
A good read, I would recommend 👌

I think that I mentally checked out of this one when I came across a continuity/time line error. It was nothing big, I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice it at all, but it kept bugging me even chapters later, and it was taking me out of the story. Once I was finished and thought back in it, it also felt like there wasn't any depth to the characters or the storyline. I know it's a short book, but it can be done and just wasn't here.

Unstable?

Great quick story, has a small background about how they became to be but it’s mostly how their connection still there even if she ‘s with the little brother of David’s rival.
He isn’t like the David she remembered.
She’s his Rose that he has always wanted.
But what will she do when she discovers what David actually is?

I love a good dark hero who doesnt care that he's a bad guy. I love when the anti hero is a killer but loves the h so much. Obsessed. I also like that the h didnt try and change the H or try &get him to quit his life of crime. The sex was hot and detailed but nothing outstanding. 3/5.

This was my first time reading one of Arabella Abbing books. If you have not read any of this Author books please start with this series because omg if you love alpha males you are going to love David. In the beginning Rose and David story is complicated but they get through it and see in the end that they both have always felt the same way, and they can finally have what they have always wanted which has always been each other. But no one said a happy ending was going to be easy and its not because David really is a Psycho but Rose knows that no matter how scary and dangerous her beautiful stepbrother is. She cannot and will not live without him. I loved how right in the first part of the series how David finally gets Rose and the first thing he does is Fuck her lol. If you have not read this book read it you are going to love it. I do wish this writer does write another book because I feel like this series is not over. I feel like there still so much of Rose and David story to be told so Arabella I hope you write another book please!!!

I liked this story! I'm not into the stepbrother fad but this story is loosely tied to the Mafia. It's a very quick read, it doesn't drain you emotionally, the storyline and characters are well developed and both will keep you entertained! The sex is very hot! The drama is off the charts!

Great use of time and space. I would definitely recommend!
