A gripping adventure that will have you eager to know what happens next.

Multiple POVs, Ghostly carriages pulled by nothing, whisper ghouls who feast on your memories and gossip about your darkest sins, and a black fox named Styx who’s a lost familiar with a mischievous grin.

Hellion’s Dawn is a story with intriguing world building, deliciously unhinged character development, and descriptions your imagination will feast on. Chapters 51, 52, and 53 are probably my favorites. The descriptions and the action are both fascinating and gripping.

I love how defiant Inias is in his actions and dialogue to those who are against him simply because of what he is. Sometimes he is bluntly obvious, and other times he’s cleverly subtle. At times I laughed out loud because his snide comments are so spot on! You tell them, Inias!

Maybe it’s because I’ve been watching a lot of anime lately, but as I read this story, I could easily picture everything in an anime style. It was awesome. The world of Hellion’s Dawn would make an amazing action fantasy anime film or series, in my opinion.

I love Keira’s obsession with daggers and her stabby attitude. There’s more to her story than meets the eye. Her past trauma is heartbreaking, and it still haunts her. Inias is her foundation; the one person who keeps her grounded. However, the memories are still all too present, and she fears her sanity is slipping.

Keira’s my favorite character, and Inias and Thistle come at a close second. The women in this book are also formidable, and I love it.

Inias’s gradual transformation from a scorned prince taught to hate what he is to embracing the Hellion within is glorious. I’m with Keira when she says, “I can’t wait to see what he destroys next.”

From the adorable fox familiar Styx to the building romance between Inias and Keira are very well written. Castella and Keira are strong women that you don’t want to mess with but know you can trust. I had to force myself to put the book away because I enjoyed it so much. The themes of religious and status rebellion really hit it for me too. I can’t wait to see where this series goes! ☺️

*CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS*
There’s multiple POV so paying attention is important to keeping the story straight. This book was full of surprises.
Really enjoyed the character building in the story. The story starts with a misunderstood Inia’s, who’s is the MMC. He’s also the kings nephew. He has a mind of his own and can be very impulsive. It was that impulsivity that caused a series of events and where the story gets interesting. Loved the Fox familiar, Styx, which Inias finds and is close to. We also meet Keira, the FMC and Inias “close” friend. She is a feisty woman and has a mind of her own.
The plot was well written and will have you intrigued.
The magic system is very different and intriguing.
