I was a US Navy Submarine Sonar Technician on a Trident Submarine. Submarine operations are an intricate choreography of people & technology. When you are first exposed to it……it can be overwhelming. But with repetition & training you learn your place in the cadence and it eventually becomes second nature. I’ve never seen any work of fiction or non fiction that accurately captures these details until now. Terry Kincer clearly has detailed knowledge of what he writes and he lays it all out in proper & accurate sequence without digging down too far into minutiae.
Some of the terms & acronyms may be cryptic if you are seeing them for the first time….so Terry includes an appendix at the back of the book to help explain.

If you want a good idea of what submarine operations are like….this is an entertaining place to start.

A Submariners story well told.

One of the few that put me right back on patrol. BZ Chief!
A couple of obvious editing mishaps, just as obviously NOT lack of technical or experience.

Loved the two boat mission and hand off, especially the difference in capabilities and purpose. Having not been an ST that was a great dive into that perspective, but maybe a little too deep to follow for non military.

Looking forward to the next book(s)!
