Zoe Dawson, the author of 40+ books had always dreamed of becoming a full-time romance writer. Her other passions include traveling the world, owning a beach house (she believes she was a mermaid in another life), and seeing her books in movies. When she’s not writing, she’s painting or killing virtual MMORPG monsters in World of Warcraft. She lives in North Carolina with her two grown children and one small, furry gray cat.

As I began reading this new story in the series, I was surprised by the supernatural and illusions undertones. I had to back up pages in an attempt to get clarity on the story. I was familiar with this SEAL team members and their backstories, but I am not familiar with this genre produced by Ms Dawson. I am a huge fan of her romantic suspense books. I don’t want to give a low star review just because it wasn’t my normal reading material. Ms Dawson still created depth of characters, and added drama and intrigue to keep the reader committed to the story. I received a complimentary ARC, but I am voluntarily offering my personal opinion.
Flash is an action-packed, emotionally charged finale that delivers everything I was hoping for and more. From the very first chapter, the story grabs your attention with high-stakes missions, nonstop suspense, and a romance that feels both powerful and believable. Flash and Lechuza have incredible chemistry, and watching their relationship develop amid danger and uncertainty made every moment even more compelling. The balance of military action, mystery, and supernatural intrigue is handled beautifully. Zoe Dawson has created a thrilling conclusion that left me completely satisfied and eager to reread the entire series.
This book was such a good and entertaining read. It’s everything I have come to expect from this author and so much more. It was so emotionally fraught and had me so locked in to the story. I went through so many emotions throughout this book. I laughed. I cried. I white knuckled the edges of the book in suspense. And I swooned. I definitely had my heartstrings pulled on by Flash and Lechuza. The chemistry and connection they share was off the charts and so intense. Watching the journey they went on was so endearing and captivating. We got action and mystery and heat and tension. And it ended in such a perfect way. I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author.
Well that was a little intense! The action packed conclusion to Seal team East and what a conclusion it was. I love how this author twists and turns stories within stories and Flash's story is no exception. The lead up top this story has been quite intense in the last few books and especially the last couple of Seal team East stories and Fly and North's arc in Breakneck that flows over into Flash (can't wait for their books). Back to Flash's (Jae) and Lechuza's story. Very intense with some paranormal elements that add a little to the story and introduce a new genre to Ms. Dawson's world, well worth the read.
Flash is a Navy Seal with Team East. Lechuza is a CIA Shawdowguard.
Flash and Lechuza have a past from previously working together. There is an attraction and chemistry between them, but each is avoiding this. This story is an over flow from Bear’s and Breakneck’s story involving Fly and North.
This book was intense, action, suspense, danger and twists and turns.
I was given an arc and I love all her books! This is a different path for her and it took me on an emotional roller coaster. It's amazing and so well written. I can't wait for her next book!
