What do you gift your soulmate after ten wonderful years of marriage? In the past, I had stuck to the traditional shirt and tie, but this year I craved to do something different—something extraordinary and completely outside my predictable persona. My solution? A nude portrait. I can’t wait to give Daniel the most shocking and sensual gift of a lifetime…or can I?
Self-doubt steals my confidence on the drive home. The erotic painting hidden beneath a sheet in the backseat burns my conscience. It should be Daniel eating me, not guilt. What the hell was I thinking? I’d posed naked in front of a total stranger on a whim, and now I was about to hand over the evidence to my husband as if it were no big deal. The painting has to go!
Only one problem…Daniel’s home earlier than expected, and somehow I have to sneak it inside without being caught…
First of all…Ishabelle Torry strikes again! She has crafted yet another gripping and charismatic story. Though this one strays from her ‘norm’ of paranormal/sci-fi/time travel style tales, it’s just as well-done and kept me hooked from the beginning!
Secondly…Married couples! It’s not too often I come across an established couple in the world of romance, and this aspect was a very welcome surprise! With so many HEA’s out there, it’s nice to be able to poke our heads in years down the road and see what lovebirds are still doing later on. Still HEA, and still sexy!
The Gift is a short erotica story. It was fantastic and gery well written. I seriously couldn't put it down. Ishabelle Torry is a wonderful author. I loved every moment about it. This lovely story is about a woman who thinks up the perfect gift for her husband as they celebrate their wedding anniversary. Sheryl and Daniel dated from high school through college for a combined 8 years and they've been married for 10 years. They're still madly in love with each other and have 3 wonderful children and they couldn't be happier and once Sheryl gets her husband's gift in her hands and she starts to get a little shy about giving it to Daniel.
I love couples and plots that reach out and grab you from page one and this book didn't disappoint. It's rare you read a book where the couple are already established and deep into their journey, rarer still that the plot can still be compelling and relatable. Sizzling, emotional and packed with a smooth plot flow, I loved this short by the incomparable Ishabelle Torry and am off to purchase my own copy of To Wish Upon a Roman by this phenomenal writer. Madame Torry, keep 'em coming!
What a cute, fun, HOT story. This is an established couple who sizzles on the page. There are several laugh aloud funny moments and all the pages brim with emotion and that special quality two people who truly 'get' each other have.
