I really enjoyed The Sea Between Us. The pirate setting was so much fun, and I loved the adventure. Kael was easily my favorite character, and I honestly wish we had gotten at least a few chapters from his POV because I wanted to know what was going on in his head. I think that would’ve made me even more invested in the romance.
My biggest issue was the pacing. It felt like almost everything happened within a week, so some of the emotional changes didn’t fully land for me. Arabella’s relationship with her father shifted really fast, and while I understood why, I wish we’d gotten to spend more time watching that change happen. The romance also moved a little quicker than I personally prefer, and I think it would’ve been even stronger if the story had been spread out over a longer period of time.
That being said, I was still invested from beginning to end. The writing was easy to get lost in, the pirate atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for, and I genuinely wanted to keep reading to see what happened next. Even though I had a few issues with the pacing, I still had a great time with this one and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun pirate romance.

Now, I am not usually a YA/Close door reader but when I saw I LOVED this I mean it with my whole heart. It’s like an incredible mix of Ariel & Pirates of the Caribbean, with adventure, banter, tragedy and so much fun. The chemistry between Arabella & Kael is incredible from the start. Their back and forth banter, is so much fun and you can feel the tension building.
The story was incredible, the secrets, the magic, the characters, just all added so much incredible detail and fun to the book. The writing style had me engaged and enjoying every bit, enough detail to really let your imagination run wild but not overwhelming the story. I am so glad Jess DM’d me to read this !!!
⭐️ Enemies to lovers
⭐️ Captive v Captor
⭐️ Forced Proximity
⭐️ Family secrets
⭐️ Slow Burn (close door)
⭐️ Morally Good Pirates

What a story!! Truly amazing!!
To be totally honest I went into this book with low expectations since I’m not a big reader of these kinds of books, but it had me hooked. (Hahahah get it cause he’s a pirate) Anyways this book also proved that the blonde men shouldn’t be trusted. The villain turns hero and the kingdom collapses. The banter totally makes it that much better. The truth comes to light so beautifully and Bella truly grows so much throughout the whole story. Amazing!! Such a good option for YA readers.

I ATE THIS UP 😍 👏🏻
As someone who isn’t typically a big romantasy reader, this book had me locked in from the very beginning.
I was immediately drawn in by the writing style.
It was effortlessly beautiful. Every single moment was captured with such clarity and colour that I never had to wonder what the people, places and things looked like.
It was the a movie was playing in head my head in 4K.
The world building was fluid, the plot was captivating and the characters were beautifully created, giving a real sense of believability.
I genuinely cannot fault one thing about this book. I loved every single second I spent in the magical world of Estrella del Sol.
