Fractured
Everyone knows how Summer and Easton ended.
Everyone has it wrong.
After three years away, Summer Wilder returns to Austin with a Yale Law degree, a career she fought to build, and one rule: don't look back.
Then she walks into The Woods.
Across the room stands Easton Trent.
Her first love.
The NFL quarterback who shattered her heart.
The one man she never truly left behind.
The city remembers their breakup. Their families remember it. Their friends think they know the truth.
They don't.
Because the story everyone believes isn't the one that actually happened.
As old wounds reopen and buried secrets begin to surface, Summer is forced to confront the past she spent years trying to outrun. Meanwhile, a charming NHL superstar offers the kind of future that feels safe, steady, and everything she thought she wanted.
Now Summer must decide whether love is built on the life you've planned… or the one you've never stopped fighting for.
Fractured is an emotional, character-driven contemporary romance filled with heartbreak, longing, unforgettable chemistry, and the kind of second chance that refuses to stay buried.
Perfect for readers who love:
Second Chance Romance
Sports Romance (NFL & NHL)
Childhood Sweethearts
Love Triangle
Fake Relationship
He Falls First and Never Stops
Emotional Slow Burn
Found Family
Angst with a Happy Ending
Some fractures heal.
Some never do.
And some were never meant to stay broken.

About the author
K.C. Lynch
4 books1 followerI've always been a reader first.
Over the years, I've read more than 2,000 books, completely falling in love with emotional stories, unforgettable characters, heartbreaking romance, and the kind of love that stays with you long after the final chapter. Somewhere along the way, those stories inspired me to start creating my own.
I write emotionally driven romance centered around complicated relationships, deep friendships, heartbreak, healing, and the messy reality of love. My stories are filled with flawed characters, emotional tension, and the kinds of bonds that can wither save you...or destroy you.
For the past ten years, I've lived in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley with my husband, who is a Hotshot Wildland Firefighter, and our two daughters. Our oldest daughter recently graduated high school and is now pursuing veterinary medicine in college.
Originally, I'm from New Jersey, but I spent most of my youth and adult life in the Pocono Mountains before eventually making the Shenandoah Valley home.
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me reading, skiing, spending time at the beach or dreaming up my next fictional heartbreak.

K.C. Lynch! First, can I just say… can I be on everyone’s team in this book? I loved every step it took to get to the end of this story. While there are three main characters—Summer, Easton, and Teagan—this is truly a story about two people, with the third playing an important part in their journey.
This story follows Summer Wilder as she returns home after graduating from law school and is forced to face everything she left behind after a breakup three years earlier. Her ex is an NFL quarterback, and despite the time apart, neither of them ever truly let the other go. Teagan is supportive, respectful, and knows when to simply be there for Summer. He helps her become the best version of herself, and throughout the story, they both help each other grow into the people they’re meant to be.
The book was beautifully written, and the plot stayed strong from beginning to end. I loved getting to experience Summer’s journey and watching her continue to grow. She learned to stand up for herself, carried herself with confidence, and became stronger because of everything she went through. Every character experienced growth throughout the story, which made it even more meaningful. I also need the second book asap because I want to know what happens between Hadley and Boone!
If you love love triangles, sports romance, and emotional slow burns, this is definitely a book you should pick up. I highly recommend giving it a read.

A second-chance romance that had me reading until sunrise!
Fractured completely consumed me. I told myself I’d read “just one more chapter,” and before I knew it, it was the middle of the night and I had finished the entire book. I genuinely could not put it down.
Summer and Easton’s story is so much deeper than a typical second-chance romance. The author slowly peels back the layers of what really happened between them, proving that the truth is rarely as simple as the version everyone believes. Every revelation hit harder than the last, and I found myself completely invested in their journey.
The chemistry between Summer and Easton is incredible. Their history, the unresolved feelings, the longing, and the emotional tension make every scene together unforgettable. I also appreciated that the love triangle never overshadowed the heart of the story—it simply added another layer to Summer’s difficult choices.
K.C. Lynch created characters who feel real. They make mistakes, carry regrets, and fight for the people they love. The emotional depth, found family, slow-burn romance, and perfectly timed twists kept me turning pages long after I should have been asleep.
If you love emotional romances with unforgettable characters, sports romance, childhood sweethearts, second chances, and stories that leave your heart aching before putting it back together, Fractured is absolutely worth your time.
I laughed, I cried, I stayed up all night reading, and I closed the book wishing I could experience it again for the first time. I can’t wait to continue this series.

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish and could not put it done. My heart broke for Easton and Summer, but I also wanted to knock them out at the same time. I didn’t think they were ever going to figure it out, especially once she married Teagan. I was like no, you can’t marry him, but then I get to love him and the relationship that they had. I loved seeing how Teagan pulled Summer out of her shell and helped her and Easton find their way back to each other. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series and I hope we get more Easton and Summer in them.

Excellent first book!
Excellent first book from a talented author. The character development was amazing. How she depicted their love story and the trials along the way was truly artful. The dialect between characters, the back and forth drew me in to their lives.
I can't wait for K.C. Lynch to release her next book!
