It’s the final act. Who better to lead the way than the cleanup man?
Born Victor Kyang, JACK wasn't always a walking talking lethal weapon. His past was ravaged by tragedy, leaving him filled with darkness and anger. Working for Pierce Eaglemohr gave him free rein to release the rage that festered inside of him. JACK used that anger to fine tune his deadly instincts. Until Eagle turned on him.
Now Eagle is the enemy, and JACK is on a singular mission to destroy.
Another complication arises when his latest target turns business personal. JACK recognizes a kindred spirit in pain when he meets Pristine, the victim of a Russian trafficking ring. Keeping her safe becomes as important to him as breathing, while he and the hitman crew continue to fight against Eagle's plan to ruin them.
All of the pressure has taken a toll on his psyche. Combined with the quest for revenge, JACK is a ticking time bomb.
Don't miss the explosive conclusion of the Corporate Hitman series.
Olivia Linden, a native New Yorker, was raised between Queens and San Antonio, TX. Her creative itch began when her elementary school principal posted one of her stories in the halls of her school. She was only eight at the time, but old enough to understand how integral writing would be to her future. From that moment on, reading and writing became her two greatest passions.
Olivia hasn’t stopped writing since she found her literary voice all those years ago. Jaded Hearts, her first published novel, mixes her big personality, with a sexy yet humorous tone. It is her philosophy that laughter is essential to making it through even the toughest situations.
This is the third and final story in the trilogy where Jack is the last of the hitmen to slay his demons. Victor “Jack” Kyang wasn’t born a killer but, after the brutal murder of his family, he became one.
“Was he a monster? Nothing more than a well-behaved animal? Was his soul still in there behind the dark black orbs, or was he as damned and evil as the men who destroyed him?”
He had nothing to lose and didn’t let emotion rule the life which was now dedicated to revenge. Through luck or design, he had a second chance and, with his chosen family, he was going to take it!
Jack was always the quiet one and I couldn’t wait to read his story. He was a killing machine, a cleanup man who existed on little sleep and kept his body in elite shape to always be prepared for the unexpected. As their final plan moved into action Jack could not ignore a plea from his brother, save his sister, Pristine. He could do nothing less but what he didn’t expect was to fall in love.
“His mind went blank, leaving his body to be ruled by the drive of his desire.”
The mix of brutality and humour that these men face their challenges with is alternately funny and, well, just really uncomfortable. Blood and gore mix uneasily with scorching love scenes as Jack and Pristine break down each other’s defenses. A happy ending and many questions answered made for a satisfying conclusion to the series. Or is it? A few throwaway statements has me wondering if there may be more… I hope so!
Wow, this third book, Jack in the Corporate Hitman series was intense. Jack, also known as Victor formerly, has been tasked by Scratch to rescue his sister Pristine. We already know the boys want to take down Eagle, but the question is do they succeed? Do they get away like they talked about in Scratch? Does Jack manage to rescue Pristine and foil Eagle and the Russians? Whatever you think you are expecting to happen, don't. It is much better than that. I am saddened to know that this is the last of the Corporate Hitman series. Hopefully the replacements will spawn another trilogy and give us their stories.

The best of the Corporate Hitman Series. Jack, Jack, Jack so dark and delicious. I was in this story from being to end. Of the three I thought is back story was the most gruesome so to me he had a harder life altering crisis to overcome. He's not all the way back but I think he has found some peace with and in Pristine. Along with other members of his self made family he is on an even keel. Nice job ladies, just wondering if were are going to get a story for Duke.
I didn't quite enjoy this one as much as the other two. Jack's character was as always present and developing throughout the story, but I got no real sense of what Pristine's character was outside of being used as a comfort for him. The connection between them was hard to believe. She really had no personality outside of being sad all of the time or being used as an emotional filter for Jack. It would have been better if there was a little more connection between them outside of that.
I'm only rating this book because it is the last in the series. It's just awesome I love the way it ended I also love the way picked up at the next book giving each character is own story but continuing one-story great job Olivia glad I picked this up and read it
Fun, engaging, and a great story line that will have you wanting to read straight through without stopping. The only small irritant is the small amount of typos. But you'll these three guys.
