Sara Hamdan is a Palestinian American novelist, journalist, and editor. A Berkeley and Columbia graduate, she is the author of the novel What Will People Think?, which was a finalist for the Jimmy Fallon Book Club, an NPR Book of the Day, and a New York Times Book Review recommended read. A scene from the novel won an award in Netflix's international storytelling competition. Hamdan is currently Editor-in-Chief of The New York Times Style Magazine MENA based in Dubai, where she lives with her husband and two children. Breadwinner is her second novel.
